Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Fall 14th, 511 AV

The Fall had come with a vengeance for the heat of the Summer, bringing with it cool weather and a heady scent that would be absent and well-missed when the Season came to a close, Mould and old, dead leaves gave the most pungent odour, followed close on their heels by the scent of rain long gone. In the ghost city of Kalinor, such a beauty was unheard of. There was no rain in the dark caves, there were no leaves to litter the floor. Carcasses undoubtly did, far below the gossamer city, and water dripped down long stalactites into the black void that even a Symenestra’s eyes could not pierce.

Alanys Hyacinth inhaled deeply the heavy scent of the Above. Leth did not show in the Deep, his face hidden by Semele’s belly. Syna suffered the same, shunted aside so Semele could protect the small spiders that had scurried to her womb when the Gods struck eachother and burned their old home. The spider-kin formerly of Falyndar had suffered greatly before they had escaped the rage of Fire. Yet somewhere, buried deep within the collective psyche of the racial group, lay a desire to creep above ground again and take back their forests, build up their ranks, and craft a new place for themselves in this new world. One day, Alanys dreamt that the Harvest would become unnecessary. She could envision the bright new world, where Symenestra could bear many pureblooded children and not crumble away as liquefied husks of their former beauty.

Grand dreams for a young woman of a race of matricidal arachnids.

Now, the young woman of the ‘repulsive’ Widows walked through the grand City of Illusions, fearing little for her own well-being and completely for the hunger gnawing its way through her flat stomach. A distracting complaint wormed its way through her gut, and Alanys felt the odd friction of her extended fangs against her lips. At this time over all times she had to be careful of where her fangs went. Her venom, as all purebloods were, was incredibly potent and much stronger when hunger fed it. Her bite could kill, would kill, and had killed. She was hungry, and it could kill her if she only bit her lip hard enough to inject her corrosive venom into her blood stream. She needed food, and her ruby eyes scanned the buildings around her as she walked, inhaling deeply the scent of Fall on the air to hold her thoughts from straying to food.

With a content sigh Vhanet left the Bizarre and began to walk along the ever changing streets of Alvadas once more. For once she had managed to find a decent meal in the market, some freshly butchered lamb that she carried wrapped in front of her. It wasn't as bloody as a fresh kill, but it was far better than the burned carcasses humans preferred to eat. She just needed to find somewhere private and discreet to enjoy her meal properly.

Not long after she left the market her dark eyes came across an interesting sight. Not a place for a discreet meal, like she had been searching for, but the presence of a Symenestra woman that was not Nasilia. Briefly she wondered if it could be Nasilia's Mother, but she didn't look old enough to be a real possibility. Some other Symenestra then. Smiling pleasantly Vhanet nodded her head to the woman and said softly, "Good day to you."

As her dark eyes came back up, lingering on the pale skinned woman's face, Vhanet caught a hint of a sight she had seen from Nasilia a few times. The faint bulge of her lips where her two fangs were extended, usually a sign of hunger she had learned. Did all Symenestra come to Alvadas hungry? Curious and tempted with the idea of a fun game Vhanet stopped and openly stared at the woman with a bit of wide eyed amazement. Maybe if she annoyed the Symenestra she would try and eat Vhanet out of spite? That would certainly be an interesting game to play.

Hunger. [Open]

Alanys paused as a female’s voice spoke out to her, a flash of disgust at being addressed so openly by a strange Human heating her inside. How dare this Human even have the tenacity to look at her!

Alanys’ left hand subconsciously drifted down, her long, slender fingers stroking her Lash pensively, as she turned garnet pools onto the slightly taller woman before her. Her eyes registered her features and dismissed them, even though she had to admit she was looking at a striking female. Something about her, however, told Alanys that she was lazy. The female was someone who waited for others to come to her, and even as she hefted around a large wrapped parcel it couldn’t change the first impression the Symenestra had gotten. The desire to show her fangs was tempting, os sooo tempting, but she reigned it in. This Human’s greeting had been polite and she considered the possibility of making ‘friends’ with her, as disgusting as that possibility was.

”It’s evening.” How tactful her reply was, terse and sharp. With good reason, however, seeing as this Human was staring at her openly. Stupid woman. Alanys considered her use as a surrogate, for her expression certainly held that same bovine befuddlement she’d seen among some of the Hypnotized individuals. Why did all Humans have to look so stupid? Still, a smile was forced on to Alanys’ lips as she inclined her head to the woman. She had to ingratiate herself to the Human, perhaps earn some polite conversation that was, Viratas be blessed, worthwhile. ”All the same, good evening. How are you tonight?” She held her smile there, hoping it wasn’t too sweet. She didn’t want to seem enamoured with a Human woman. In all honesty, who knew what could be watching them! She could only pray that the woman averted her ugly little eyes from her body. The scrutiny was aggravating.

oocHehe, I forgot to mention whether Syna or Leth were up. Sorreh!
