The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

OOCSorry this is so blah :( I haven't threaded as Rai in such a long time

Raiyari growled in frustration, pulling on the leather cord that held her topknot up and fixing the simple hairstyle. She wasn't the type who fussed constantly over her hair, patting it back into place everytime she passed a reflective surface. But the winds today seemed to take pleasure in unraveling her bun and sending her hair into her face. Her brow creased in annoyance as she pulled her hair up into a semi-messy bun, making a mental note to straighten it out tonight when she changed into her Shinya uniform.

The peacefulness of the past season was starting to get on her nerves. After Rai had returned to Lhavit to complete the quest Zintila had given her, and had become a true Shinya, everything had seemed perfect. She didn't have to put up with her father, her brother wouldn't speak to her, and all the passion she'd poured into training had finally paid off. But other than a few minor scuffles on her evening patrol, nothing worth mentioning had happened. She'd joined the Shinya to protect her city, but Lhavit didn't need another woman to walk around and point tourists in the right direction.

Her Sponsor would have told her to meditate and reflect on the situation, to be content with the "temporary" peace. So Rai sat down on one of Lhavit's peaks, far enough that the loud noise of the city was easily ignored by one taught in the ways of meditation. She sat down, cleared her mind, and waited for that one moment of total peace.

And waited.

And waited.

"Petch it all," she muttered as the wind once again decided to unravel her hair, whipping stinging strands of it into her face and distracting her. Her hands, that had been neatly clasped in her lap, suddenly went limp as their astral counterparts busied themselves with tying her hair back up.

Meditatin' and Levitatin' [Dhatzu and Akari]

The wind had picked up, shredding through the peaks of Lhavit and kicking up dust and loose debris. Particularly strong blasts produced haunting howls as they scoured the surface of the city and it's residents. One such gust tugged tenaciously at the hem of an acolyte's garment, ruffling his dark hair. The lhavitian reclined on a small platform at the corner of a small side bridge, a relic of the first days of the Star City, now seemingly too narrow and irrelevant to see much foot traffic. The young man, seated in a lotus position against a statue in the shape of a stylized lion, his hands rested palms up upon his knees, would have appeared the very image of a meditating warrior, had his head not been tilted back and his mouth agape. A nasally snarl choked from his mouth with every inhaled breath.

Dhaztu awakened at the cool pull of air, his head snapping upright and his mouth slamming shut. Bug nuts, fell asleep again. A quick scan of the area ensured no one had seen him. That did not mean no one had in the past hour he had dozed away. Twisting around behind him, he did catch someone some distance away. It was a Shinya, by the tell of the figure's garb, very similar to Dhatzu's, except the pants and belt were black. Did she see him sleeping? He huffed as he stood to his feet. He would have to walk past her to get back to the pavilion. Best bet would be to play it off like he was meditating the entire time. Tugging at the hem of his short robe to straighten it out, Dhatzu then retrieved the polesword he had leaned against the statue and headed along the path.

Upon his approach, he recognized the Shinya. It was Raiyari. Great. One of the most stoic adherer's to all things Shinya who had reached full rank last season. It was hard not to be acquainted with the other acolytes, and he knew Raiyari, but not well. Dhatzu slowed his pace as he drew nearer, watching her work the art of projection, her hair appearing to untangle and arrange itself. That is why she was a Shinya and he was not, her skills were more advance. Scowl.

But Raiyari now outranked him. So out of duty he stopped and obediently bowed, though the woman was intent upon the mystical task at hand.
