No, The Moth don't care if The Flame is real. . . ” Zeal is tall at 6'2". He has long blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a filmy white shirt if he has to, but he prefers none at all. Windmarks weave their way across his back, legs and left forearm. He has a jagged scar on his right calf from a knife fight with a ghost. Zeal and his family are part of the Opal clan. He has an older brother and a younger sister. Both have already married and his older brother Borin is a full-fledged healer. As the second son, Zeal was born late, and he's been late ever since. His parent's are very loving and his father, Pivl, is an honorable man. He's almost too good, making the rest of his family a little sick with it. His mother, Genari, is a great cook and can grow anything, anywhere. She often helps her family with the sick by giving them remedies in her food and she's the first to get a laugh at Pivl's seriousness. He has a great relationship with his mother but his relationship with his father is strained because Zeal is the only one in his family, besides his father, who has a natural talent for Spirit Healing. His father has been trying to train him, but Zeal has been too busy being young and blowing him off. It's a sore spot for him and he's struggling with it because he doesn't like the way Spirit Healing calls to him or how good it feels to use it. He's afraid it will take him over. He doesn't want to constantly be traveling the Sea of Grass looking for ghosts and demons. He wants to stay home, play dice and be lazy. Zeal's passions for dice and dogs have come to a head. He had to sell his dogs to pay off the gambling debt he rung up playing. His favorite dog was the only one spared. If he hadn't been so busy drinking at The Trough, he might have spent more time coming to work and Pivl may have helped him pay off his debt so he didn't have to sell them. He's still furious about it and doesn't think his father is as honorable as other people do. Now he's struggling with his father, himself, everyone around him who wants him to be something else. He's clinging to his carefree ways, looking for a way to rebuild his kennel and running from the ghosts that haunt him.
