Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

A narrow, dark wood structure that always seems wedged between walls where it does not belong, The Stallion’s Rear is easy to miss. The black varnish is faded and chipping, but the name on the windowless door, scrawled in loops of silvered paint, is fresh and clear. There is a many-paned window beside it, apparently clean but permanently grimed with age, and above them both is a smaller window on a second floor, the curtain drawn.

The interior is longer than it is wide. The walls are smooth and undecorated, save for a fireplace on the far wall and a few unassuming oil lamps that fail to fill the pervading shadows. A nondescript door stands beside the hearth, usually locked. There are four large round tables and sixteen chairs, none of which are particularly attached to each other and almost all of which rock and creak beneath any patron, large or small. In the far left corner, a polished bar stretches before four raised wooden stools; behind it, shelves and barrels advertise the night’s wares. Though there is a door behind the bar, it does not seem to be in use. The Stallion’s Rear offers only drinks to its patrons, but those are never in short supply.

When the tavern went by another name, the entire ceiling was covered with a mosaic of the sky. But in the Djed Storm of 512, most of the tiles fell and, by their very nature, could not be replaced. What pieces remain still change as they used to, showing fragments of the sky above over the course of the evening. The sun arcs west, paints the tiny tiles with the sunset, and then the night’s constellations turn slowly towards morning.

The Stallion’s Rear is a good place to meet a friend or make a friend. There is no offer of food and lodging, but the beer is clean and the wine is fragrant. Its owner is affable, for the most part, and is happy to oblige and entertain all of his paying customers.

Once owned by Victor Lark & Seven Xu, the tavern was put up for sale once the two left the city. The Stallion's Rear was taken over by Cade, who has owned it happily ever since.

About: When Victor and Seven left Alvadas, they left a vacancy in the ownership of the Stallion's Rear. Cade- a man extremely fond of his drink- was disappointed by the closure of his favorite drinking establishment, but being a man with a good mind and a sharp eye for money, he saw it the opportunity it was. He bought the Rear and quickly had the tavern back open and running smoothly again. Cade realized that the Rear was the sole supplier of degtine in Alvadas and worked to keep the tavern providing the unique liquor. With the destruction of the Denval after the Djed Storm of 512, the supplies began to run low, but Cade was a smart man. His business sense didn't fail him. He realized that the art of degtine and its creation didn't die with the city, that it still lived on in the refugees, and he quickly made contacts with the groups who came from the city. Within a few months, he had several suppliers, and the stores of degtine never ran dry since.

Cade is a businessman. While he enjoys talking when it comes to negotiating contracts or serving his customers drinks, he is a hard man to get to know. He remains distanced, even from those who know him best. But at his heart, Cade is a drunk, and alcohol is what he loves best. He can often be found enjoying a drink with his patrons and encourages anyone who works for him to do the same. After all, who would trust an establishment where its own workers don't enjoy its product. Still, he does discourage drunkenness from his workers.

In the event that situations get heated, Cade is not above getting a little aggressive, but he prefers to handle the customers with his words rather than his fists. However, when the customers get out of hand, Cade proves that no bouncer is needed but himself.
