Built high in the massive branches of Taldera's bloodwood forest, The Spires is a city crafted by the peaceful and scholarly Jamoura. Considered a haven for scholars and sages Mizahar-wide, The Spires is a mecca of philosophy and science that draws people from far and wide with its promise of deeper thinking and higher reasoning.

Bruj had awoken early in the morning, before the sun had even risen, and had spent most of it meditating. When he opened his eyes again it seemed as though it was late afternoon. Bruj rose from the floor and looked around his room. It had been a long time since he had been back here and he wasn’t sure if anyone would remember him. He had arrived the day before and had stealthily made his way to his room and had spent most of that time cleaning up and eating the rabbit he had caught with a simple trap mechanism that he had made. He quickly made the choice that he could not stay in his room forever. It was time to see how the city had changed. Bruj walked out of his room and onto the Residential petals. He wondered who he would meet.

Bruj stood for a moment on his doorstep and wasn’t quite sure where to go. Bruj considered going to the outer petals to browse through the markets and see what kind of industry was going on in the Spires these days but he quickly decided against it as he didn’t want to look like a tourist in his own home. Even though he was Jamoura, he still was uncertain about how he would be received after such a long time away. That was when Bruj remembered the sixth petal, where there used to be many poets, painters, sculptors and various artist displaying and pursuing their work. Bruj had always been a fan of the artists though he had never pursued an art himself. Bruj knew where he was going and he started in that direction.

As Bruj walked towards the sixth petal, he listened to the rhythm of the forest and was entranced by it; the wind made the leaves whistle and a few fell into Bruj’s path. He still secretly enjoyed on stepping on fallen leaves to hear the sweet crack they made. Bruj looked around to make sure that nobody was watching. Suddenly, with absolutely no warning, the bulky, slow moving ape started jumping around on all the small leaves. It was as if he was dancing, Bruj momentarily lost himself to a childish urge. All the while, lost in this childish trance, he didn’t notice the person that approached him.
