[Residence] Itasu's Dwelling

The building is a simple 20 feet by 20 feet cottage by the outskirts of Zeltiva. It used to be owned by a master wizard, yet after the man's mysterious death his apprentice took over ownership. Everything furniture-wise stayed the same when Itasu moved in, but the decorations (and atmosphere) have changed greatly. Itasu is a practitioner of magic, and, as most of his kind are, a solitary fellow. So it's safe to assume he wouldn't want others in his home at any time. His way of dealing with that is to play on the average Joe's superstitions. He painted the outer walls of the building with a number of magic symbols. These glyphs, needless to say, make many think twice before picking up the brass knocker, which is strangely shaped.

The inside of the home isn't much stranger than the outside. At a quick glance it's a small, roomy space occupied by a hearth near a simple bed, a desk with a chair to match, and a small bookcase filled with only 4 books. Yet, anyone who actually entered the cottage would see within seconds that it was more than it appeared to be.

Instead of a carpet, the middle of the living space was decorated with two red circles, connected by a thick red line and surrounded by more glyphs. Any person knowledgeable on the subject of magic would see that Itasu practices animation, a magic discipline that involves giving that which is lifeless life. The walls have no windows, and it makes the entire place dark, even at daytime, unless a candle is lit. They bear the repetitive theme of glyphs. These symbols on the wall, unlike the others, are made in many different colors, some seeming as though they are written in actual human blood. Many of them are scribbled over in a thin layer of paint, marking them as what are probably failed experiments.

The books on the shelf cover an obvious subject, magic. One on morphing, one on animation, one on glyphing. The final book was filled with pictures of animals, probably an assistant to Itasu's morphing. The bookshelf, along with all the books, seem as though they would burst into a cloud of dust at even the most delicate touch. Either they are really old, or very cheap.

Overall, Itasu's home is an experiment itself. A story to be seen with every visit. The wizard is not home most of the time, and it might not be too smart to enter without a guide, no matter how small the building may seem.
