Coren just nodded at Hadrian's comment. “Well, there more then a few people that are disciplined enough to practice magic, but I get your point. To many people see magic as a quick way to get a lot of power or just try to learn it on a whim to satisfy some passing fancy. Never even thinking about the toll that magic takes from the wizard practicing the discipline. Still I think its possible to prepare people a little bit for the strain that magic is going to place on them mentally and physically.” Coren's eyes absentmindedly drifted towards his right arm, before adding something to what he had said. “Well at least enough to make sure they don't cripple themselves before some time has passed.” He looked back towards Hadrian just as soon as he finished his sentence. Letting out a little laugh as Hadrian made a comment about his mask. “Oh you mean this?” He pointed towards the leather mask that was covering the lower half of his face. “No reason for you to be worried about it. Just some personal reasons why I'm wearing it.” Coren said, his tone implying that this was the end of that subject. “Anyway, you don't have to thrust me. But your letting a nice chance to learn more from somebody who knows his stuff slip through your fingers. Besides, I'm a librarian, what would I have to gain from somebody I just met here?” |
