In the service of the gods [Sutekh]

30th of Fall 511 AV.

The Temple of All Gods was serenely quiet in the very early morning. In fact, except for the gray robed man walking between the pews, heavily entrenched in his thoughts, except for him, there were no one else in the temple.

For a city of Syliras size and density, that was quite unusual. If not historically rare. The robed man would walk with no determination and he seemed to only walk for the sake of walking. He seemed very at home in the Temple. Mainly because he actually worked there most of the day and only rarely left the temple for other duties.

The man would snap out of his thoughts when someone entered the temple. He looked in the direction of the temple's first visitor for the day. Curious to what soul had wandered into the temple and what purpose this lost soul had.

In the service of the gods [Sutekh]

The Temple of the All Gods was a name that Sutekh did not enjoy, it implied that there were more than one right god to worship and that this place would welcome gods and followers of every faith. In a land that had been ravaged by a quarrel of the false gods, Sutekh couldn't understand why more people didn't follow Yahal for his purity and goodness and sincerity. What had the other gods done to Mizahar? Destroyed it beyond recognition and toy with the lives of every soul down on this plane of existence merely for their own enjoyment. Ridiculous. Sutekh's personal beliefs would have to remain close at heart when he entered the temple and saw it bare of any living person inside.

His eyes critically examined the architecture as his face conveyed a happy smile. This place would be an acceptable venue to discuss Yahal to the masses that wanted to hear about the right god. Sutekh's attention caught sight of the grey robed man and Sutekh made his way over to him, smiling over to him.

"Brother Devan?" Sutekh asked as he stopped a few feet in front of the man. His hands were hidden within the folds of his robe as he stood in front of him with an easy smile. "I am Sutekh, I was directed to you as I believe a Son of Rapas would be more at home here than on the streets or plated in mail and fighting with the Knights..."

In the service of the gods [Sutekh]

oocSorry for the delay!

Devan saw the man's expression when he saw the building. It looked like he

'Brother Devan'

The words echoed in his mind. This man was quite respectful, Devan liked that. Plus the easy smile on his lips made him relax and smile in return. He looked at the man. Sutekh wore robes just like he, was he also a man of the gods. His words confirmed Devan's suspicion. He nodded to the question. Confirming that he was indeed Morian Devan.

"A son of Rapas, a worshiper of Yahal I assume? If so, many of your brothers in the faith fight for the knights. Proudly so it appears." Devan said. "But what may I help you with, Sutekh. Please walk with me." Devan took a step back with a leg and threw out an arm and waited for Sutekh. If he declined, Devan would just stand there, but continue talking none the less. If Sutekh accepted, Devan would walk beside him and continue.

"First time you visit the Temple of All gods? A magnificent building, isn't it?" He gestured to the building surrounding the two.
