Planting Love,Sowing Empathy[Herbalism/Blade Dance Training]

Postby Aksia Carataqua on March 9th, 2010, 1:56 pm

A small bush rocked back and forth as it was blown by the invisible but strong wind, some of its white, symmetrical blossoms blew to the ground, where it was seized by a small blue hand.

Aksia picked up the small white blossom at her feet, and sniffed it, it was slightly fragrant, she let go of it, the strong wind of spring quickly picked it up and the blossom floated off, carried off by the breeze.

As Aksia followed the path in which the blossom had came, she chanced upon a bush with dozens of snowy, white blossoms."I Guess this must be it."
She sniffed the blossoms on the bush, slightly fragrant again. Aksia smiled "The Artic snow, its bark has good properties, reducing the chance of swelling and inflammation of bruises if quickly applied as a salve.

Aksia went to work swiftly, she took out one of her wrist razors, holding it like a knife, working in quick succession she lopped of a top branch and a few of the bottom ones, She quickly assembled a small pile of branches and leaves, cutting off the leaves and flowers on the twigs, she stuffed the mangled twigs into her pouch.

Making a mental check in her list of herbs to collect in Syliras and making a small prayer of gratitude to Caiyha.

Aksia jumped as she heard unnatural animal cries, screams would be a better way to describe them. Aksia reacted instinctively, running in the direction in which the sound had come.

A dead deer was lying, face down on the forest floor, its eyes wide and unseeing. Nearby a Yukman, a mass of Earth and dead trees was repeatedly hammering the poor creatures body, quickly reducing it to a pile of deer hamburger.

Near the hamburger, was a bush with tell-tale greenness and perfect position, they were in a clearing with an overly large amount of sun, and the winter had just passed, yet this plants leaves were still as green as polished jade.

The True Arrowroot, very useful in aiding the terrible effects of a Charoda eating any sort of meat, which was, explosive diarrhea. By eating its mashed up leaves she could solve her diarrhea problems and heal infected wounds and snake bites with this herb, it probably wouldn't do anything if a viper or rattler bit her but for minor snake bites, this would do the trick, it would lessen the pain.

A roar brought her back into the woods, away from her fantasies, the Yukman wasn't happy, and it seemed to want a fight. Aksia tightened her wrist razors and stamped hard into the ground, readying her blades, she then took her stance. Her dance was going to be a complex one, since she was going to be aiming to kill this abomination of nature. "Am I really doing this for a plant?" she asked herself.

The Yukman Charged.

Re: Planting Love, Harvesting Kindness [Herbalism/Blade Dance]

As the Yukman charged, lumbering over the grass, Aksia was only just getting her equipment ready, she tightened her wrist razors, and then secured her cloak as checking the blade in her boots.

She was doing everything slowly and calmly, even though the Yukman was quickly shortening the distance between them. For those who didn't really understand Aksia's personality, when she was in a state of trepidation she would, become extremely calm and extremely careful.

The Yukman was 4 feet away from her, she didn't move. 3 feet, Aksia closed her eyes, 2 feet Aksia took her stance, 1 foot.

The Yukman swung its boulder tipped arms at her, Aksia ducked and walked forward, swung her foot forward in a backwards Arabesque, the blade in her boot popped out, the kick gashed the Yukman's ribs open, if it had any, but the Yukman hardly flinched.

"What?" she said incredulously. The Yukman snarled and in one clean motion, tennis served her into a nearby tree. Aksia screamed as the impact caused her to soar through the air, she maneuvered through the air a bit, spreading her arms out and ignoring the pain that the Yukman had caused to her, where it hit her square in the chest and she could already feel herself bruising. Instead of hitting the tree, Aksia landed back on the forest floor, she dug her wrist razors into the trunk of the tree and then jumped down.

"Now you got me mad.." she yelled out to the Yukman loudly. The Yukman charged at her again, but this time she was ready, she wasn't scared of it anymore, in fact, she couldn't be scared even if she wanted to, this abomination hurt her, and she didn't like getting hurt. Charodae weren't fighters, but if her life depended on it she'd kill this piece of living soil. It didn't have life in the first place, so she was just doing what was right.

The Yukman swung at her again, Aksia dodged, letting the huge hand grasp at air. "I wish Sasin was here! she thought "Then I wouldn't have to do any fighting.. I'm not any good at it anyways. Being a Charoda, everything was slower on land, since she was used to things speeding around in the water.

"Welcome to the Charoda Ranch" she said to the Yukman, who was getting ready to charge yet again. "Today, I'm going to be dancing for you, and later, I'll be serving you a meal of-- she paused and dodged as the Yukman charged, this time, she scraped herself on the leathery hide of the Yukman. "Metal.." she snarled, showing all of her teeth. She took her cloak running towards the Yukman, she waved the cloak in its face, the ribbon daggers she had sewn in and the 5 daggers concealed within the hem cut into its cracked clay face, she then jumped onto its head, running on its arms, and stamped hard into its back, her bladed boots plunged into its back once, twice and three times, until she got thrown off by the Yukman. The fall knocked the wind out of her. "I'm going to have twenty bruises by the time I've killed this bi***.". she muttered angrily. She let it run to her and she used her wrist razors this time, running and slashing, trying to dodge the huge arms that the Yukman was swinging at her. Acquiring a few small cuts and bruises trying to avoid them, she ran at the monster, "YAH!!!!" she cried. She ran at the monster top speed, which was fast indeed, the Yukman changed tactics, this time trying to kick at Aksia. She dodged that with ease by jumping onto the Yukman's back again, the Yukman's slow lumbering movements were starting to get even slower. "It's weakening!" she thought happily.

Aksia swung onto the beasts head and onto its shoulders, she kicked at the beasts head once, jabbing a hole into its head, she kicked again, enlarging the hole in the Yukman's head, the Yukman started to reach for her, trying to get her off. "Die already!" she thought out urgently. Aksia tried jumping off but it was too late, the Yukman had her in its hands again, then it let go, she fell to the ground. "What?" she said, for a second she thought the Yukman had died, then, the massive hands swung backwards and slammed into her, it was like running into a brick wall, the impact sent her light body into a nearby bush, she could swear that she saw stars.

The Yukman charged again, "How could it be so persistent?!" she thought analyzing the wounds she had inflicted on it, a gash on its torso, a deep hole in its head, a cut foot, she had cut the beast on the leg as she rolled through its legs, none were life threatening "I'm gonna finish this right now! she declared, her multiple wounds and bruises were starting to sting.

She ran forwards and the Yukman lumbered forwards, both with their weapons outstretched, Aksia with her blades and the Yukman with its arms, she was going to make a grand finish in her dance, she sprinted past the Yukman, and stopped behind it. "Hey ugly!" she cried out. She swung her arm at it and the blade cut into its face, she then started a spin (Fouette en Tournant) she spun once raising her foot high into the air, and cutting into the Yukman's neck, it shrieked in pain but she didn't stop, she couldn't stop, the momentum had already sped up too much, she spun twice more, cleaving open the Yukman's neck and in one last spin, the Yukman's head fell to the ground, as its truncated body fell to the ground lifeless.

Aksia panted, she had never been this tired her whole life, seriously, she did all that for a small plant that would help with her diarrhea and smelled of beans. "It was worth it." she said to herself, walking up to the plant and picking some leaves, as well as its seeds. "This stuff is rare, I don't plan on seeing more of it any time soon. she smiled, and checked off True Arrowroot on her mental list of herbs. She put a salve on her bruises, Aksia looked up into the sky, which was still blue, luckily she'd get to back into the city in a jiffy, "Boy am I tired... she said "Nothing a bath won't heal." she grinned, thinking to herself, finally lost in her own thoughts as she walked down the forest path to the nearby pond.
