[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

17th day of Winter, 511 AV

Miro glanced at the staff as he opened his wardrobe. The heavy robe was removed immediately. Lately Miro's arm had only pained him if he thought about it hurting him. It seemed to be fine to be moved and used as usual. The arm would surely be able to survive some routine training if needed. But for now, Miro wouldn't even worry about such things.

The morning was just blooming forth with the sun still hiding just out of sight. Miro tied the last knot of his robe and proceeded to weigh it down with a large amount of ice. Miro slowly oozed res from his torso and moved it through and around his clothing. He pressed it against the lining of the robe, slowly forming a blanket. As Miro transmuted it he felt a little light headed. The rapid increasing weight and the djed lose happening at the same time caused Miro's knees to shake. He stood tall for as long as he could, muscles fighting at the inevitable collapse. Miro melted away some of the ice that laid around the waist and along the sides, allowing it to move more freely.

Miro fell forward on his knees, then his hands. He was unable to walk and not even out of his room yet. The pain was a little discouraging, but quickly took away the haze of djed loss. The weight now was spread between his hands and knees and bearable. Miro flexed his arms and took to weight off of his legs. He lifted his right leg and planted his foot firmly. Now with solid footing, he distributed the weight to his legs and pushed up with his arms. His body shifted to an upright kneeling position. The cold ice held close to his body, giving him a soothing calm over his body. His body felt as if it were able to reach its prime. Miro forced his body up lifting up on to both feet carefully until he stood with balance.

The staff remained propped up against the wardrobe and was retrieved after Miro tested out walking with the added weight in an awkward waddle. He grabbed the staff and used it as a cane to help him walk along. By the time Miro reached the door now able to walk nearly casually. Miro smirked at the thought that nobody would notice. He made his way through the common area and out to the courtyard. He opened the door to find an unusually beautiful day. The skies were just showing the first rays of morning light. The clouds were scattered in clusters, and the air carried a slight warmth. It greeted his face for a moment as he paced his way over to the grass.

Miro melted away any ice that made him uncomfortable as he sat with his legs crossed. The cool water that melted away tickled at Miro's legs as it made its way down to the ground. He took the staff between his hands resting on his lap. He perched his hands together with his thumbs out allowing it to lay across him. He spread his hands out until they rested on his legs. Miro focused now, centering his mind.

Today he would find his direction with the staff. The damn thing would give him a response, a way to use its power. Miro had only to learn how the magic was to interact with it. Times like these made him ache for an instructor who could guide his way. Though, even without instructions to guide him, he wasn't without a direction. He had his instincts that guided him through magic. Somewhere in him he had the means to work the staff, he needed only now to unearth that talent.

His plan for activating the staff was quite simple. He would use every discipline of magic to force a reaction. The most obvious starting magic would be reimancy. Miro's knowledge of the discipline made him proud. He estimated that he had surpassed his mother in the talent she had taught her young son. The flames she wielded so brilliantly that slipped Miro's grip for so long were now his to control. Miro began to produce res slowly over his hands and move it around the staff. The ends covered and slowly the two sides formed into one. With the coating of res applied Miro now wondered how to spark a reaction. It didn't seem to be enough, reimancy dealt with the elements. The only thing it had to offer was his res, the manifestation of his life force. Miro began to wonder if perhaps he couldn't get a reaction from just one magic.

Miro thought for a moment on how he could apply the other magics and use them through the staff. Miro pulled his flux streams from his torso and pulled them up to his arms. The energy rushed into his hands and began to pool. Now he would have to do the hard part. Morphing, hypnotism, they were so foreign to Miro, but he needed that tool. Miro remembered the feeling of forcing his will on Alric. Hypnotism seemed to transfer a strong will onto a target using djed. With his djed moving into his hands and moving around the staff, fighting to flow through it.

Miro focused on what he craved so badly. The desire became stronger and stronger. The phrase flowed through his mind over and over. Miro focused the mass of djed that rested in his hands and tapped into it. As Miro concentrated on delivering the will, the djed flowed out into the structure of the staff. "Show me your secrets."

Secrets, was what he experiencing the secrets of the staff? No, no secrets, it was as if he cast it on a dead person. Miro did not feel as if he learned much of anything, only a new strange familiarity with the object. As he held it he felt a slight tingle. Holding it felt comfortable, as if it were a piece of ice. Miro quit focusing on the liquid res on the staff, erasing it from his mind. Slowly it evaporated away into the air. Miro sat still, finding a calm in his mind. He shut out the sounds of the morning only thinking about his magic. The ice around his body and the staff sitting in his hand put Miro into a deep still position. His mind drifted from the thoughts of the other people who might be around, leaving him blissfully unaware.

[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

Postby Iliana on December 13th, 2011, 6:13 pm

Iliana bent down and touched her toes, placing her palms flat on the ground as her hair tumbled over her head. Lifting up she then bent backwards, leaning back so that her hands rested on the bed, stretching out her abdomen. Using the toned muscles of her abs she lifted herself back upright, arms held out to the sided and began doing a toe raises. Ones finished with that Illiana hopped a couple of times on the balls of her feet, and then swung one leg up so that it rested on the bed, knee locked. Grabbing the tips of her toes with both hands she pulled back so that her calf was stretched, leaning over her leg as she did so. She then repeated the process with the other leg.

Finally satisfied that she had stretched enough, Illiana walked over to the dresser where she kept her bag and supplies and pulled out her comb, quickly brushing out any and all tangles that plagued her after the nights rest. As she brushed she pulled out a few stands of hair at a time to check for split ends, and she was happy to find none this day! Taking the small mirror for the top of the dresser Iliana then inspected her features with the critical eye of a teenage girl. Rubbing a hand over her cheek she was happy to see not a single spot of acne, but she new it would not be long before they popped up. On that thought Iliana pushed the hair back from her forehead, running her eyes over her hair line in case any had begun to form along her hair line.

Nodding, Iliana set down the mirror and pulled on a strand of her hair. Closing her eyes she focused her mind, visualizing in her mind a flash of blue and running a hand through her hair. She imagined her hair as a blank canvas, and her djed became her brush. She could see the tip of the brush coated in a light blue, and she mentally brushed it over her hair. Beginning at the top of her head, lines of of blue began to trickle down her hair in random and uneven patterns, flowing to the tips of her hair. This process continued until her usually blond hair was changed to a sparkling blue the color of the sky, and Iliana opened her eyes and picked up the mirror to inspect her work. With a smile she turned her hair form side to side, checking to see if there were any spots that she had missed. Then, finally satisfied, she was just about to set down the mirror when she was struck by an impulse. Looking once more in the mirror Iliana touched under her right eye, looking deep into her own blue iris. Blinking twice she imagined the paint brush once more, but this time she tried something different. Instead of brush strokes she tried to "fleck" the paint instead. As she concentrated she kept her eyes open until they started to water. Then, after a chime or two several gold flecks began to form around the pupil of her eye, closer to the pupil. With a smile Iliana did the same to her other eye so that they looked like rays of sunlight reflecting off of a still pond. Blinking twice she giggled and set down the mirror. She liked a little bit of randomness in her dress from time to time, but she wondered if anyone would get close enough to notice?

Then, finally, Iliana bounced on the tips of her toes and turned a quick circle, enjoying the feel of her dancers attire fluttering around her. With a giggle and a wink at herself in the mirror Iliana picked up her old hat from where it sat next to her bed and exited her room and into the house. Her steps here light and reflected her cheerful demeanor. As she skipped down the hall her hair danced around her head, looking as if bits of the sky had fallen to frame her features. With a sudden spin and leap, Iliana literally danced her way to the door, stopping only when she noticed Miro sitting in the courtyard. Tilting her head, Iliana studied the sitting figure a moment, wondering at the staff in his hands. She had seen him carrying it around the manor before, but it had never occurred to her to ask after it. However, today was the day!

As quietly as she could Iliana opened the door and tiptoed around behind Miro. She was curious as to what he was doing, but she did not want to interrupt him when he was concentrating. WIth careful steps she came closer, peeking over his shoulder. His face was a mask of concentration, and Iliana had to stifle a giggle. She had the strangest urge to ruffle his hair, but instead she settled for waiting quietly. When he spoke Iliana took it as he was done concentrating and leaned close to his ear, brushing a strand of blue hair behind her ear, "Whatcha doing?"

[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

Postby Miro on December 16th, 2011, 6:00 am

Miro's mind began to spin around in circles, causi ng himself to start to dream. He no longer used his eyes to see, or his ears to hear, relying solely on his mind to guide him through. He saw a field painted with green hills and gentle breezes. His mind was at peace, but that would not do if he was going to transfer his will onto another for practice. He needed a change of scenery, something to light a fire in his heart. The place was calm, and that was a result of his eased mind. Thinking of things that would cause new emotions would be a way to break this up, but if he caused too much emotion to spark up, he would risk losing control of magic, especially one as new to him as hypnotism.

Bones slithered out, flicking out his tongue at Miro. Miro instantly shoved his back out and shook his fist playfully. A smirk rested on his face, his hands shook for a moment with anticipation. Almech and Belaya began to clash before him. Belaya wielding his blade fiercely as Almech dodged left, right, blocking occasionally with his gauntlets as he backed up. The fear of losing Almech made Miro's heart thud with a heavy amount of anxiety. He began to cheer and yell out to his friend, hoping his will to win would be passed onto his friend. Finally, a will to pass on. It wasn't enough, but it was a great step. Hypnotism would be a perfect tool for inspiration. A firm hand on the shoulder, pushing his ally to victory.

Miro remarked at the thought a while too long and was shaken awake from it. Jerked from his restful state he quickly lifted his head in a brief panic, trying to make heads and tails of the wall he now looked at. Just as he was realizing where he was a soft voice greeted his ears, causing him to sit up very straight and chills to run down his spine. As the words registered he could almost see Iliana's soft lips moving. Miro quickly slouched back down and rustled up the back of his hair nervously, letting his staff roll away. "I am just doing some training."

Miro shaved off a bit more of the ice that weighed him down and stood up. Turning towards the woman, keeping his resolve firm. He was going to use hypnotism, and now he had a victim. Iliana had wandered into his web, and now she would feed his magic cravings. Miro looked upon her face, marveling for a moment. Her appearance today, it was without flaw. Her smiling face made Miro smile back instantly. Her long blue hair shimmered in the sunlight, causing a faint blush on Miro's face. His will was lost in her blue eyes instantly. The gold flakes flickered for a moment, blanking his mind.

Now he had to fight for a will to pass on, but his mind was clouded. He fought for something, anything to impose on her. All he could think about was the thudding nervous feeling in his heart, the tension her words forced into his body when she was inches away from him. A desire to be close to her came over him. His heart felt suddenly heavy, and he only wanted to use her for hypnotism. Miro finally was able concentrate on his will, forming it into a phrase. The want of being close to her, practicing with her, he so desperately wanted it to be reciprocated.

Miro walked towards her, keeping his eyes fixed on hers. Awkwardly he stumbled forward, blushing even more. He grabbed her hand and stared deep into her eyes, forcing the words out of his mouth, pushing his will onto her as greatly as he could. The desire, the will, they would soon be shared by Iliana. He let the djed ooze from him enveloping everything he was. For a moment his will would join hers. The instant this hand touched hers, he pressed the feeling longing feeling onto her, but also pushed his longing to use hypnotism as well. He began to speak, no longer thinking of her as his friend, but feeling the desire to manipulate her to want what he wanted. "Iliana, we are good friends. I want you to practice magic with me, like you wanted. I know you wanted to practice reimancy, but perhaps you would want to teach me how you changed your eyes. They are quite beautif..."

Miro batted his eyes a few times. He felt the uneasy feeling of losing a dramatic amount of djed in too quick a time. Miro fell backwards on his rump holding his hand to his head. It took all of his concentration to fight the urge to fall back and nap. A chime or so passed, and Miro regained control. If Illy had said anything, he missed it. He offered his hand to Iliana, hoping she would help lift him to his feet. A feeling of remorse came over him as he stood. The trickery, should he tell her of it? He decided to make a compromise, and would despite his slight episode a moment ago, use hypnotism once more. Telling her the truth, but lessening the impact by tricking her mind a bit. He felt sorry, as if he wanted to make everything alright. He wanted to make everything better, and intended to do so.

Miro reached a hand and touched her arm, imparting the calm feeling before speaking. "I am sorry to tell you this, but I have been using magic on you. It is a discipline called hypnotism, and I tried to influence you. I hope you can forgive me." Miro removed his hand and sighed for a moment, grasping at his forehead. A slight headache was creeping up on him, and he needed a drink badly. He made a quick gesture to let Illy know to wait a chime, then he lifted his sleeve up and released a bit of the water from the icy hold and let it trickle down into his mouth. He took his fill, lightening from both arms before turning his attention back to Iliana. With a new resolve he was ready to make amends for the selfish behavior and treat her as she should be treated, a friend.

[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

Postby Iliana on December 17th, 2011, 10:20 am

Iliana giggled at Miro's reaction, knowing she must have startled him from his concentration. She stepped back a pace as Miro stood, noticing his eyes looking over her. Inwardly she felt a warm glow of pride at her appearance. Ever since she had come to live at the manor the girl had begun paying extra attention to her appearance, on the chance that she might run into this man on her way out. She waited patiently for Miro to finish his inspection, and her sense of satisfaction increased as she suspected that he was at a lost for words. Iliana giggled when she saw his blush.

Tilting her head Iliana inspected Miro as well. The man remained silent a bit longer than usual, and he seemed to be thinking hard on something. Something to do with his training perhaps? she wondered to herself, Or maybe he has something he wishes to tell me? Iliana smiled at this, twirling a strand of hair as her mind drifted off into girlish fantasies at the thought.

With her mind lost in thought, Iliana did not notice Miro's actions until she felt the touch of his hand. It was then that she was startled back to reality and noticed how close Miro now was, could see his eyes that never stayed the same color so close to her own. Soon enough a blush colored her own cheeks and her mind went a bit fuzzy.

His hand is... warm... she thought absently to herself as she looked at Miro. I wonder what I should do? D-does he...? Thoughts raced through her mind as Iliana tried to make sense of Miro's sudden actions.

Then Iliana noticed the sudden rush of emotions. Deep in her breast she felt a sudden longing, a drive for something... Was it Miro she wanted? Or was it... Iliana shook her head. The feeling pulsed in her chest, a passion that Iliana could not place a reason too. Looking into Miro's eyes, she noticed his intense expression, felt his hand in hers and... there was something else. Blinking Iliana looked closer into his eyes, Is he... Iliana began to connect the dots, Is he... using hypnotism on me?

As if in answer, Miro suddenly tilted backwards and landed hard on the ground, clouting his head where he sat. As soon as his hand left her's the powerful feelings ceased and Iliana's suspicions were confirmed. He was trying to hypnotize me!? Iliana shook her head and looked down at Miro, her emotions a strange mix of betrayal, suspicion, embarrassment and, strangely enough, a bit of flattery. During those chimes Iliana did not say a word, just simply looked down at Miro with an expression that spoke of her confusion at Miro's actions, Why would he want to hypnotize me? Does he want something from me, or does he... want to... Iliana's mind circled around thoughts such as that, thoughts that brought a blush to her cheeks and even worse thoughts to her mind.

When Miro offered her his hand she stepped back half a step, folding her arms in front of her like a shield. She could see the man's conflicted feelings, but Iliana was still unsure of how to react. Flinching at his next touch, she looked deep into his eyes, searching for an answer. A sense of calm came over her, and Iliana was instantly suspicious, but at Miro's words she decided to let her worries rest, if only for the moment. He was just trying to practice after all, she reasoned. Strangely enough, this fact saddened her slightly.

Well, she thought with a smile, If he wants to play like that, then so be it.

Closing her eyes a moment, Iliana pushed aside her other feelings for a moment and fixed an expression of uncertainty on her face. A blush still tenting her cheeks, Iliana tucked her arms under her breast and hunched her shoulders forward slightly, making the cut in her top extremely noticeable. When she spoke, her voice had a slight tremble to it, "I-I understand... You are a m-man after all and..." Her blush deepend and her eyes looked off to the side. Pulling her arms tighter around her she continued, "You have needs..."

Iliana looked up, her eyes catching Miro's. The expression in her eyes was one of an innocent girl, uncertain and a bit timid at a strange situation. Stepping closer, Iliana set her hands on Miro's chest, as she did she focused on the same emotions that Miro himself had tried to push on her, though she did not allow them to flow from her unchecked. Instead she focused those feelings to a finer point, highlighting the feeling of longing so that it would feel as an ache in the chest that would slowly rise as she spoke to him, "I am... n-not very good at this but... F-for you I will do my best." Iliana laid her head on Miro's chest, letting her own feelings of uncertainty leak through her djed and into Miro as well. She let him feel her own embarrassment (for indeed doing this did cause her some embarrassment), but she also let the man's own natural emotions flow as they will, though she used her djed to heighten them to a little stronger than they would normally be.

Tilting her head back, Iliana gazed up into Miro's eyes and gave him an uncertain smile. Reaching up she placed the palm of her hand flat against his cheek, "If this is... what you want then you do not have to hypnotize me." Standing on the tips of her toes, Iliana placed a single kiss on Miro's cheek, and with that kiss she sent a sudden flood of emotion. There was that strong sense of longing, just as Miro had done to her before, that was tempered with a tinge of embarrassment. She also called up any feelings of protectiveness that Miro might have, heightening his natural protective nature so that it conflicted with his new feeling of longing, hopefully causing a confusing mix of conflicting urges.

Letting her hand linger on his cheek a moment after the kiss, Iliana gave Miro a smile that spoke of innocents and submissiveness. With her look of uncertainty and slight blush to her cheeks, Iliana looked very much the image of a teenage girl who was about to make that very important decision... until she giggled and winked.

With a sudden motion, Iliana stepped backwards and spun in quick circle, coming to a stop facing Miro once more. A smile brightend her face as she clasped her hands behind her back and leaned forward. Winking she said, "If you wanted to train you could have just told me, and that was how you use hypnotism." She could feel the drain on her djed that caused her a slight amount of weakness, and her limbs trembled slightly as if she had undergone some form of exertion. From her left eye, in the very corner and just barely noticeable, there was a trickle of blood that made a path down her cheek, the red forming a stack contrast against the blue of her eyes and hair.

[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

Postby Miro on December 19th, 2011, 7:10 am

Iliana's reaction was about what Miro expected...well at first it was. She looked a bit upset for a moment, but it quickly went away. Perhaps it worked! But...she didn't look so sure. She looked a bit nervous, as if she was doubting the actions she would make. Her posture changed, drawing Miro's attention from her eyes down from her eyes to her chest occasionally. He fought the curious instinct to look under her clothing, knowing it was rude. Despite the stunning beauty of her face, he still found her breasts to be oddly appealing. The words rolled off her tongue with an awkward grace. She seemed to struggle to get the words out, but every syllable drew Miro in closer. He didn't understand what she meant, but she wasn't angry. What had the hypnotism done?

Again, Miro was drawn into the beauty of her eyes. They looked of the beauty of a clear summer sky decorated with all of the stars of the night. "Would they look as beautiful on anybody else? No, only Iliana." Miro wanted to smile, but he was frozen in her stare. Completely captivated by her every movement. With each rise and fall of her chest the world faded ever more slightly. As she stepped closer Miro's heart began to beat quicker, but he did not move. Her hand touching his chest soothed the rushing of his heart. His heart beats seemed drawn out, so that each beat had a pause in it, and his eyes changed to a deep purple, dark enough to be mistaken for black.

Her hand felt as if it were burning a hole in his chest. Focus on it, aided by the already increasing longing was becoming too much for him to bear. His feet and hands clenched tight, and his teeth found their way to biting his lip. The building tension and anxiety caused him to quiver faintly, unable to contain the rushing flow of emotion. His minds buzzed with desires. He wanted to reach out and touch her, hold her, to make her feel as she made him. The words she spoke came out with little grace, but they sounded as if they came from a tongue of a goddess. As Iliana's head lay on Miro's chest he wrapped his arms around her gently, not realizing his actions. He wasn't sure why he did this, or if he should have done it at all. Though he doubted everything that ever was, he continued to hold her, unable to remove her from his embrace. Miro tried not to think on the situation, how much he was doing wrong, but the thoughts still flooded his mind. A deep sanguinary tint bled over his already rosy cheeks. There was certainly no turning back now though.

She removed her head from his chest, staring deep into his eyes. Her face looked serene, as if she had lost the hesitation in her actions. Miro closed his eyes for a moment as her hand met his face. His hands moved down to rest on her hips. Her hand was slightly less warm than his cheeks that burned with embarrassment, making it feel inviting. Miro basked in the contact for as long as he could before her words cleared into Miro's mind. He opened his eyes in a slight panic with a sudden realization. "She knew that I..." His mouth dropped opened and he felt he had to say something, but her lips against his cheeks left him standing bewildered and speechless.

Miro now felt connected to Iliana in a way he had never felt before. A need to be close to her, protect her above all else. A connection so deep that not even Dira's could sever it. Miro would protect Iliana so that he may again feel this wonderful feeling. He would fight so that once again they could hold each other close.

She pulled away, but her hand remained against his face for a moment longer. Her lips formed a coy and playful smile and her cheeks shone with a tinge of embarrassment. She giggled and winked backing away. Miro's hands fell down to his side and smiled back sheepishly. She spun playfully in a circle stopping and looking at Miro. With an even happier tone than usual she leaned in as if she was going to tell Miro a secret. With a wink she let forth a sentence that sent confusion, surprise, and various other emotions over Miro. He reacted by bursting out with a surprised statement. "You hypnotized me?"

Miro watched Iliana carefully for a reaction, but it seemed he did not get one. A bit of the color drained from her face and her eye wept a faint stream of blood down onto her cheek. Miro took his robe off and let it fall to the ground before walking up to Iliana. He knew that she had pushed things a bit too far with her magic. He walked up and attempted to wrap his arm around her, hoping she would use him as a crutch. "You really are amazing Illy. We should take a break for now. We can sit down and talk for a moment." Miro did not want to offend her, or make her feel like she was weak, so he followed his statement with another. "I know I could sure use a rest. I am not sure I will be able to keep up with you."

[Avain Manor] Twice Over (Miro & Iliana)

Postby Iliana on December 19th, 2011, 10:11 pm

Reaching up a hand, Iliana touched the trickle of blood that traced down her cheek. Moving her fingers before her eyes she looked at it curiously, and then her vision unfocused and the girl lost her balance for a moment. Luckily Miro's arms were there to keep her from falling.

Leaning heavily on his chest, Iliana looked up and smiled at Miro, "I just wanted to show you a bit of my abilities as well. Did I do good?" She giggled and nestled her head against Miro's chest, the top of her head coming just up to his chin, "You surprised me Miro. I did not know you could use such technique."

Iliana felt Miro's arms wrap around her, and the girl felt a warmth from deep inside of her chest. For a moment she wondered if Miro was trying to hypnotize her once more, but she did not feel any rise in his djed or any sudden or unrestrained emotions come spilling into her so she dismissed her suspicion. She did notice, however, that the man was warm. It was with a small smile that Iliana realized that she liked this position, being wrapped in a man's arms, but of course that lead to other thoughts and a soft redness began to rise to her cheeks. As Miro began to speak she quickly buried her face in his shirt, hoping he would not notice the color.

At his praise Iliana smiled into his shirt. A warm glow of pride made her look up and into Miro's ever changing eyes, and what she saw there made her quickly look away once more. Clearing her throat Iliana absently pulled on a lose thread in Miro's shirt as she answered, "We can... take a break if you like. I do not mind...

The girl's heart almost skipped a beat as Miro took her hand in his and wrapped his arm around her waist, supporting most of Iliana's weight as he lead her to the shadow of the courtyard walls. Then, with the ease of a man supporting no weight at all, Miro placed Iliana's hand behind his neck and supported her full weight as he gently lowered her to the ground. Iliana was a bit embarrassed at being handled like a delicate flower, but there was also another feeling that pulled at the strings of her soul that said "this is a good thing..."

Then Miro sat down beside her, brushing against Iliana's shoulder as he did, and the girl had to check herself once more for any signs of hypnotism. That feeling of longing was slowly dredging up from the pits of her emotions, and Iliana was not sure if it was reminiscent of Miro's earlier work or something else entirely. In either case, Iliana pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, setting her forehead on her knees in an attempt to hide the rise of emotions from her companion. She could not explain it, this feeling of awkwardness that had settled on her like a cloak. Was she not completely fine just moments ago? Shaking her head Iliana tried to understand this occurrence, It must be because of the contact... There is probably still traces of his hypnotism in his touch, Iliana reasoned. This, however, seemed a very weak explanation to the tangle of emotions Iliana felt, but she was loath to think on the matter any further.

Instead Iliana moved her thoughts to another subject. Turning her head so that she was looking at Miro she asked, "You wanted to know about morphing right?" Eager to forget her swirling feelings, Iliana smiled and raised her head from her knees, "If you would like I can show you what I know, and in return would you teach me your reimancy?"

Iliana passed a hand over her hair, closing her eyes and imagining the paint brush once more. Her hair was the canvas, blank and ready to be filled. For a few chimes Iliana thought about what she wanted to occur, and she pictured the end result of her transformation until she could see it with crystal clarity. Then she moved her imagined paintbrush over her blue hair and summoned her djed. She imagined making streaks of red down her hair from root to tip until all of the blue was completely covered. Then she altered the red so that it was darker at the roots and grew steadily lighter to the tips. Wrinkling her eyebrows Iliana altered the way her hair fell on her head as well, transforming the usually straight hair into locks with a slight wave to their length. Once statisfied with that, Iliana then injected yellows and oranges so that her hair had the look of a waving candle flame.

Tossing her now changed hair, Iliana opened her eyes and smiled at Miro, "I am not as good as my mother was, but I can still do little things like changing my hair and eye color, as well as a few other things." Raising her hand, as if to emphasis, Iliana focused on the nails on her right hand. She imagined that her nails were like clay, soft and easily molded, and mold them she did. With a focus that seemed a bit out of character for the usually airheaded youth, Iliana eyed her nail and willed them to lengthen about half an inch and file to a point. Then, using her paint brush of djed once more, Iliana imagined painting her nails just as she normally would, but instead of blue she changed them to black. A few chimes after she began, Iliana took Miro's hand in hers and set her nails beside his own, a perfect match.

WIth a smile Iliana looked up at Miro, "It is much easier to cause a transformation if you have a model to go by."

Notes:

I wish this thread would have been finished. The emotional tension and the awkwardness of the situation between the two characters was quite well played out. If only Miro could put to words those feelings for Illy. The thoughts and actions were not of just a random magic training thread, but also had some deep underlying story. I really liked that. Again, too bad that it wasnt finished.

A note on hypnotism use, and dont worry because I did this when I first started using it too. You just do blanket statements, imparting your speech with Djed. To get more points, you have to go a step further by stating how you would like to manipulate the people you are casting. As I was told once, it is unfair to the player to leave them hanging like that and guessing the intent of the spell. So might as well put all the cards on the table, even if its just for the reader, but more often than that it is benefiting to everyone. So just take it one more step. You are getting it.

Any questions or concerns about the rewards gained please send a PM :)

12 hour shifts have started, and Im working 6-7 days a week mandatory overtime. My replies will be slow until I can adjust to this new groove.
