1. Name - or what you'd like to be called!
My real name is Justin and I'll respond to that, my character name, or any other nickname you all come up with.

2. What sort of RP experience do you have if any?
Started on Neopets of all places many years ago. Was on Animeleague for a while before they did the whole changeover. And I've been on Crunchyroll for a couple years now. Gamewise I was on an RP PVP server in WoW for a year and was part of an RP guild in FFXI.

3. How did you find us?
I did a google search for best rp boards lol

4. What sort of RP style is your favorite?
I enjoy common life RP. Don't get me wrong the epic arcs and huge monster bad guys are cool and all but I find a lot more meaning in characterization when there is no real purpose to it. I'm one of those people who did highschool rps when I was young and now I like to follow people around in Skyrim just to see how they wrote the ai on them.

5. What do you like to write about - not write about?
Most of my writing is for my classes. I've done a few fanfics and most people comment that they love the interactions between characters. I like to go into how they would act while they are setting up camp or just being themselves.

6. Whats your favorite thing about Mizahar so far?
I picked this one because from what I've seen it follows what I want in an RP. I didn't see anything about any overlying arc or NPC villain that we must vanquish.

7. What, if anything, has frustrated you about Mizahar so far?
Not really frustration more of a question I guess. Is there a place where I can see random statistics or get a quick overview of whats already been done? For example I like to rp one of the lesser played things(I was the only Quincy in one Bleach RP) but I'd rather not be in a race where I'm all alone most of the time and don't know the languages to communicate with others.

8. What would you like out of the mizahar experience?
Can I be all sappy and say life long friends haha. But seriously I do like long term RP groups as evidence of my year long game commitments. It's better to grow and have history with other characters.

9. Is there anything you'd like to see expanded?
Maybe later. I'm a bit overwhelmed as it is. I'm one of those people who read the manuals in games lol. I've been going through all the skills, races, cities, etc. and it's a lot to take in.

10. Anything else you want to talk about?
I will talk about and enjoy almost everything. To give you an example in high school I played football and then did halftime with the marching band. I've gone to Video game competitions for MW2 and SSBM in cosplay and also go to the gymnastics open gym most sundays to practice freerunning. All in all I'll try anything twice and believe me that's gotten me in a lot more trouble then I'm willing to admit.

Welcome Aevar!!!! I am Naila, an awesome Konti girl from Mura :). OK so Ill see if I can't help you out a bit. First off, there are pretty much unique opportunities for EVERY race that you can do. Every race can have different types, personalities and each character is different with different skills, goals, gods they worship ect... IN other words just by creating a character you are doing something unique!!

Lol but I guess that is not what you were asking. For what you are asking I cannot think of anyplace on the site. THere is literally just too much to keep up with to make a comprehensible list, so my advice is to just go with your gut and do whatever you want. Make a character and an experience that is unique to you :)

Now you can be unique and find a city that is not overly played in if you want, the only draw back is that there may or may not be anyone there for you to really thread with :/. I am in Mura right now, one of the smaller areas of RP and there is just a handful of people to RP with, but I am loving it! You are free to join me there if you ever want :)

Every day life is a common subject for threads here as well. Just the other day I RP ed one of my characters buying a dress XD. Ive done threads with Naila where she was deathly ill, and threads with my Kelvic where he just runs free. Everything is open to the imagination, if you are just willing to try and dream it :)

In other words, You have a friend in me!! I love to RP random every day stuff, and I would not mind starting an RP with you an any of my characters :) (Though Naila needs a fried fyi XD)

Yeah it's kind of a fine line. I like having people to rp with and don't usually do antisocial characters. But if you've ever done like a LotR rp where everyone wants to be Legalos and there are no human, dwarf, etc characters it gets boring quick. I pretty much ruled out Kelvics and Inartas right off the bat. XD

I actually was looking at doing a Konti. I've always adored rolling support/healing classes(another one of those things no one does, guaranteed groups are awesome. I also picked up singing in Rock Band for that reason lol) I was also drawn to the Vantha. I just got to come up with a good reason for why they might leave the mountains.

Welcome to Mizahar Aevar! Great introduction, you sound perfect for this place! Most RP is in fact common daily interaction, with perhaps a touch of conflict stirred in to make it interesting. We do have overarching plots, but you're free to opt out (or in!) and they don't happen everyday. Mizahar does change and evolve over time, in the same way that the real world does. Power shifts, discoveries are made, life goes on.

We have no statistics or anything like that, but if you go into chat, you'll get varying information on what's common and what isn't (depending in who's there). You should be able to gather enough hearsay to draw you own conclusions from there. ^_^

While you're still deciding, may I put Ravok in your list of considerations? It's an oft misunderstood, but very highly developed city, but as of recently has been lacking in player activity. D: There are many great places and races (though a Konti might not enjoy Ravok as much). Naturally though I've got to advertise the city that I help mod. ^_^

Wow, I've started every paragraph with a W. Neat. So hey yeah, glad to see you like the site. You'll find lots of help in chat (usually xD) and I look forward to seeing your CS!

I so do the same thing with video game AI too, by the way. Which WoW server did you RP on?

Sup, Akalak squire here. Lord knows I'm always championing for the Akalak race, there isn't a whole bunch of us. Read the races closely and if one pops out at you, play it, even if it's insanely common. You'll surely do things that make you stand out, and that's what is important.

Long term RP is good. That's pretty much the basis in Mizahar. Things have impacts, stuff changes, time goes on. You start off small and grow and grow from there, it takes time but it's rewarding. Anyway, welcome to the game and good luck!

@Lazybones - I played on The Venture Co. World PVP was awesome there. We had several guilds on both sides, we all picked an area where we were stationed, and we had frequent planned attacks on each other. As a Keeper of Stromgarde the horde knew that if they had any quests in that keep they just weren't getting done haha.

@Akalak - Unfortunately warrior or physical races don't appeal to me.

Reread them all and now I'm kind of leaning towards a Svefra. It's something new. What do you all think of them?

Welcome! I just wanted to comment on the long term rp thing. It's awesome that you want to do that. It is by far the most rewarding thing you can do in Miz. A year and a half ago when I made Sira I didn't expect her to evolve into what she has, but in that time she has made friends, enemies, fallen in love, gotten pregnant, is about to give birth, and then I'll be raising a child. All with other long term characters. It's awesome! I promise if you are here for the long run, you will love it and we will love you back.

There is much more to the akalak than a warrior race. By far the most appealing concept about them is the dual soul, two per akalak. It gives all of them split personalities, all twin brothers unto themselves. One soul plays as the dominant one, often the voice of reason, while the other sits restless and often a little unhinged, waiting for his moment, taking over only once in a while.

I've never played a Svefra, but I know a few great players who love them.

I played on... Gosh which was it. So long ago! The one with the bad reputation for... y'know. Though it was well earned, I never did that. xD There were a lot of good guilds there too.

You mentioned before, too, about making friends. I made some close and very special friends here very quickly ever since joining last September. Even the starting guide says making friends is almost a given. I'm sure you'll form some great IC and OOC connections.

Lazy no stealing my potential thread partners!! But if we are promoting our domains come to Alvadas! I am an ST there and Id love to guide you through the twisting craziness that is the city of Illusions ;).

Ive really been looking at the Eth race lately (Eth bc I am too lazy to look up the full name >.>), but for now Konti is a fun and awesome race to play XD. If you are considering starting a Konti feel free to join me in Mura and we can go shopping!!!

And if it is wow you are talking about are you talking about Moonguard? Lol dont go to the shire XD. Wyrmcrest Accord ftw! But sadly those days are now behind me. I have moved on to Star Wars the Old Republic :P

I love Mizahar because every day I get on some new event has happend, or my threads have turned in a direction I did not foresee. Characters tend to take on a life of their own here, and I love every second of it :)
