Student's Guide Zeltiva University is one of the oldest centres for learning in Mizahar, and one of the City's biggest claims to fame. Deeply rooted in tradition, for paying students it represents an opportunity to widen ones knowledge and explore the sacred path of learning, experiencing an ongoing dialogue with expert professors from across the land. Much of the University's study is of a theoretical and philosophical nature. Those who wish to study more practical subjects may find other learning centres suited to their needs. Sahova for example is the place to go for magical study and application. On Mura, players can learn about healing and medicine, utilising Mizahar's largest medical library. The University learning system is also one of freedom, personal study and application, and strong student-teacher bonds. Students are in a constant dialogue with their professors, and are encouraged to develop a healthy working relationship. Some teachers will run set classes, while others will provide thinking topics for research. The system aims to be all about freedom of learning, not the rigidity of a set curriculum. Students take "fields of study" that last one season, exploring their own interests within the field, and building a relationship with a professor who is adept in the chosen field. Students are able to take more than one field of study in a season. The basic rate for one subject is 60 Gold Mizas, and students should add an additional 30 Gold Mizas per additional subject. The cost includes living expenses and a dormitory for the duration of the season. Students wishing to study should apply through this thread, and follow the instructions given in the template: Student Registry. Students are required to show aptitude in their studies to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the season. This can be a great new theory or discovery, an exam set by a player or NPC professor, or a variety of interesting class based threads. How you choose to play your course is up to you! All students have access to the Wright Memorial Library's restricted sections for the duration of their studies. A list of professors can be found here under the University NPCs subheading. If there is no professor for your chosen subject, feel free to create one and self moderate them for your classes. You can PM one of the Zeltiva mods and get your professor added as a permanent NPC. There may be some special cases where players will receive discount codes for tuition - these are mentioned in the registration template and will allow students to get money off their tuition fees.
