Winter 25, 511 AV Time: Midday Location: Some Tavern? Gunho was grinning from ear to ear, the fork and knife in his hands waiting to be used upon the plate of food that had been slid in front of him. He's never had a meal this heavy in months! Now that he had a well-paying job he was going to splurge a little. He was never going to regret expenses if they meant good food. He cut his steak, dipped it a little into the tavern's sauce and popped a piece of potato into his mouth along with the thin slice of newly grilled meat. It was bliss for a few moments as he allowed the taste to wash over him. The flavor of the steak melted freely in his mouth, the delectable juices so good that he did his best to savor it. The warmth that spread from his lips to his neck helped combat the cold and only made him all the more eager for his next bite. There were few things more satisfying than a grilled steak, a copious amount of vegetables cooked on the side and potatoes on a cold winter's day like this. Gunho couldn't be more satisfied right now. He'd finished his morning shift at Soothing Waters and he was going to be free for quite some time, it helped that his schedule for the following day was going to be on the afternoon too. He could stay out the entire day and figure out the layout of Syliras. He'd borrowed a map, but even this seemed to aid him little with the city being the biggest in the continent. He continued to eat more, happy with his lunch. Who cared if he was eating the helping of two people when when he was paying for that much. He was oblivious to the fact that he was actually on the only table in the tavern that could accomodate another guest. It seemed this day, this tavern was packed to the brim. Well, almost. |
