Physical Description

With brown fur and standing at a height of exactly 8 feet Daeth is the most average of your average Jamoura except for a small pin-hole like scar near his spine. He also has an interesting eye color, brown but with small flecks of an incredibly bright green that seem to slowly meld in and out of human vision.

Character Concept

However unlike your average Jamoura, Daeth is keen on making friends with what other Jamoura consider temporary acquaintances. He enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and can be considered a hermit of sorts. He likes socializing though he does take some care when meeting complete strangers. Overall he's quite sociable and polite but like other Jamoura finds it hard to share emotions with acquaintances he deems temporary. He is bound by no law but the law of nature and believes that he must do what comes naturally in life and to understand more about this he consistently meditates 3-4 hours a day.

Likes: Insects (FOR FOOD!)

Manners
Tranquility

Dislikes:
Panic
Chaos
The raising of Animals for slaughter

Character History
Image
Being just slightly over adult age Daeth is but a child in Jamouran eyes but has seen more than any human elder. He was born in a typical Jamouran family in The Spires of Taldera, he grew up much like other Jamouran children, meditating, getting to be one with nature and getting to learn how to worship Caiyha. He grew up knowing the knowledge of plants and their special properties. He suffered an accident when he was about 120 years old, when climbing up a tree he fell and almost pierced his spine on a sharp branch, this is why he has that small hole like scar. At 180 years old he strung up the guts to move away from his parents and after almost 30 years of exploring Taldera and many near-death experiences with mountains and animals he has decided to settle in Taldera's city of Avanthal, he lives in a small cottage just on the outskirts of Avanthal near the coast where he gets to smell the ocean breeze but also has a few frozen trees to climb and a few plants and animals to interact with. He is planning on setting up an apothecary of sorts in his home or work for an apothecary.

Gnosis

1 Mark from Caiyha (Phylonura) (Artic Domain Mark)

Story of Gnosis :
At the age of 80 Daeth already had an intense passion for nature, he loved being out there with the plants, with the animals. Every time he was outside he would rejoice silently, glad that he was alive, glad that he could taste the sweet, fresh air and glad that Mizahar was a flexible world in which he could explore at his will. He would swing from tree to tree, slowly of course and watch the world work around him. After he was through he'd meditate for 2 hours before returning home to his parents. It was wonderfully calming and every time he felt more and more with nature.

Like most Jamoura he worshipped Caiyha, he spent his life learning about her from Marn one of the elder Jamoura, the oldest Jamoura in existence. He even saw her, occasionally tending to baby Jamoura, teaching the older ones how to use plants and herbs. Daeth felt that she was the most noble goddess in the whole of Mizahar,it and to the Jamouran race, she was.

Daeth strolled along the vine covered streets of the Spires weaving around the immense bio-mass of the city. He had wanted to confront Caiyha and he felt that the day was today, his 100th birthday. Caiyha was right there, talking to a bunch of teenage Jamoura about growing up and how their difficulties would seem like small things as the years flashed by. Daeth took in the immense beauty of not just her but the air around her, it was breath taking. During the spring of 350 AV he had once seen a huge divulge of rain fall off the trees as the sun broke through the expanses of forest. This was nothing compared to being near Caiyha up close, she was less than 5 meters away and he could feel an aura of power. It was both frightening and soothing a strange sensation.

He was gathering up the courage to talk to her, he would ask for her mark, and he'd get it right? Right? She probably knew how dedicated he was to nature, she probably saw him swinging from tree to tree enjoying life to the fullest. But was that what being an owner of Caiyha's mark was about? He was slightly doubtful, but he cast that doubt aside as Caiyha had stopped talking to them and the teenage Jamoura had started walking away from her beaming with happiness and a new-found understanding.

Daeth was walking towards her now, he could feel butterflies in his stomach. They were flapping as if they were real, but who were they to tell him that those butterflies weren't real? His thoughts were racing, going from place to place, they were flying from his brain down to his toes and back to his brain again. All this just to ask a goddess for a favor. He walked a bit quicker noticing that the goddess had started on her long quick strides. She would disappear into thin air soon, just to re-appear later helping some elderly Jamouran citizen who had fallen and couldn't get up. All of a sudden she stopped and turned.

Her beauty was uncanny and he gasped in surprise. She had round green eyes that flickered on and off and radiated of life and death at the same time, in a brief second he was at the bottom of the food chain, a lowly ant collecting leaves for his queen and all of a sudden he was a fierce eagle flying through the air. All of a sudden she was in front of him. He gaped like a fish gasping for breath. He was young and this was all a big shock. "I know what you want from me Daeth." she said serenely "But I am afraid I cannot give it to you until you have proved your worth. You enjoy life to the fullest, but you are still young, you don't understand all of it, not yet. Maybe some day you will, but you must understand that Nature is not just life and happiness, sometimes, life is pain and until you can realize that life is a mixture of pain and pleasure you will not get what you want. With that she disappeared. That was the power of the gods, Daeth silently thought to himself, how immense!

He never saw her again for almost 60 years but he yearned for the day he would once again look into those bright green eyes. For sixty years he pondered what she meant, Jamoura grew up slowly so he had time. Night and day he would think of the true meaning behind the goddesses words. He asked his parents, but they refused to answer, claiming that it would only do him ill and he would not understand fully if they told him. It was another wet, foggy winter day in the Spires, he had promised himself that he'd leave this dreary boring place as soon as he got the mark, but how?

5 more years later he had pretty much forgotten about his early dreams of getting a mark from Caiyha, he hadn't seen Caiyha in 65 years, what had happened to her? Was she hiding herself from him on purpose? Or had she died in some tragic accident, no, she couldn't have. Witches were still common in the Spires so there was no way she had died. He took a walk and noticed something strange, he had been walking in a part of forest he hadn't been to in a long time. The ground was dark and damp and the feeling of it was quite hostile. He heard the forest around him, un-restful and hating, he felt the wave of death that swept through the life in the trees. Nearby an eagle was tearing out the innards of a young rabbit. His eyes filled with tears as all of a sudden he was swept away by an ocean of realization.

This was what Caiyha wanted him to understand. He finally understood, life was pain and pleasure as she said. He got it now and looked around.. This was the place where he had first talked to Caiyha and in these 65 years the Jamoura that lived here had relocated deeper into the Spires. He thought of those teenage Jamoura and smiled with irony now that he was one of them. He felt an urge to meditate, he'd meditate as long as it'd have to take to feel content with his newfound knowledge. He sat there in a trance-like state for a day...

Two days

And finally on the 8th hour of the 2nd day he opened his eyes and there was Caiyha, in all her beauty. She was garbed in a beautiful organic colored robe and her eyes.. Her beautiful eyes. They stunned him yet again but this time he kept focus. She smiled but he didn't feel the butterflies anymore. He was confident and filled with joy. He felt the environment and enjoyed it, it was a good feeling, especially after 65 years of lost hope. "I knew you never left me" Daeth said. Caiyha smiled her beautiful, flawless smile. "My gift to you." she whispered quietly and she touched the side of his arm and in an instant light surrounded it and converged upon his arm and scattered and before him was a triskelion and a snowflake which was seemed real. He touched it and it felt cold like ice but he also felt his warm fur and skin underneath it. His eyes filled with tears. "Thank you.." he whispered, the goddess nodded. "The area outside of Avanthal is quiet pretty, go visit it sometime!" she laughed a mirthful, beautiful laugh "You can finally leave this place." "Yes" he said and bowed and with one final smile and flourish the goddess disappeared in a wave of multi-colored butterflies
