Sometimes, he wondered why he had bought a grappling hook. Now, he remembered why.

It was more fun that way. Breaking in through the door was all well and good, but really, if he had time, climbing up through a window was much more exciting. Much riskier, and probably a lot more time consuming, but exciting.

He tied the ends of two ropes to his belt. One rope, 30 ft long, was attached to the grappling hook. The other, 20 ft long, was tied to his bag, which he set down on the ground.

Swinging the grappling hook over his head, he released, watched it sail up, clang off the wall, and drop down. Sighing, he retrieved it, and tried again. This time, it snagged on something on the roof. Tugging experimentally, he was glad to find it held. Grabbing on to the the rope with both hands, he began to climb.

He was definitely not used to climbing like this. Pulling himself up with his hands and using the stone wall to propel himself up when he could, he slowly made his way up to the hight of the window. Unfortunately, the window was just a bit over to the left. "Petch."

His feet found purchase on the wall, and he pushed off, away from the window, and swung. Grabbing the window ledge, he managed to get a firm grip, first with one hand, then with two. Using his arm to haul himself up further, he pushed open the window, thanking Yshul it was unlocked. Wriggling in, he looped the rope loosely around the open window, and hauled up his backpack.

What to loot first?

Bob did not need a grappling hook. He always preferred to go into buildings through the front door whether it was by invitation or not. This particular building however did not need him to because he was living in it and really, with Alvadas having a better law enforcement than Sunberth he thought that he was safe. The noise clanging on the wall he thought of as nothing while he started to get ready for the day. He got a job, sort of thanks to the bird and even if it was something he loved to do he did not like the way that he got it. "Dogs are not allowed there Jinsen" or so Bob thought but he did not want the dog there either way because it would be another unwanted distraction. "You just be good until I get back" he told it while he filled up a bowl full of water and another one full of food. Back in Sunberth he would have the tiring job of doing the same with more. One was more than he wanted to.

Right away Jinsen pounced at the chance to get at the food with Bob trying to pull it away as soon as he saw it. "This is until I get back! You don't want it now." he said angrily as he held it up. Slowly he placed it down again and crept to the door keeping a close eye on Jinsen which seemed to be disinterested by the food. "Stay Jinsen, thats a good boy..." he told it while he opened the door and before closing it when it was through told it to "keep it up until I get back alright?" Waiting a few moments he opened the door again with an "aha!" when he caught the dog nibbling at the food. The food which again he took away from it while he told it "what did I tell you? Unless you get hungry you cannot eat it." This was not like when Bob was working at the kennels with Jinsen always around him to get anything it wanted. It was going to be the first time that the dog would be apart from him while he worked and unless if could understand it now, it is going to be a long and torturous experience for it for the next few days.

Despite how he always acted Bob is a pretty good master. He decided to give it one more chance before leaving Jinsen to its fate. Grabbing the dog by the head to face him in a way that their eyes are stuck together he started to collect djed at his eyes. After all the attempts he already knew that it was an effective way to communicate with the dog when he really needed to since the language barrier was no longer an issue. At each word while he told Jinsen that "this is all you got for the day so...don't...eat-unless-you-are-hungry!" he started to release the djed from his eyes so that the dog would get the thought of the same, that it should not eat unless it was hungry. Bob felt the same way too but fortunately dog food was not something that he enjoyed. Done he finally was able to leave the dog and its food in the room without any second thoughts.

When he finally got down he could hear Jinsen barking from inside. Poor, poor Jinsen. The first time it would be apart while Bob goes to...wait why is the barking so loud when it was inside? Bob looked back to the source of the sound until he found the open window with...a grappling hook trailing down from it? "Petching thief!" What was this? Sunberth? Bob was going to teach that person a lesson and Jinsen should be able to handle itself well enough for a while. He went right to the rope and started pulling it hoping to get it down but then it was stuck. He would have ran back into the building but he found it a lot more better to beat the thief at his own game if he was able to.

If the snake thought it was bad then Bob was worse. His first try got him up a little bit before he slipped and the rope made a rubbing sound as he dropped. Without his gloves that would have hurt a lot. Hearing the barks, and thinking that Jinsen was in trouble got him to start up again this time making sure that he was gripping firmly on the hope before going further up. Finally he could feel his hands clinging on the window ledge and he gave a grunt as he heaved himself up as he shouted "good job Jinsen, now we got him! Just stay" while he got high enough to have a look at what was going on.

Of course there was a dog. There was always a dog when he tried something new. Petch. He was wearing a burglar's vest, but unless the dog chipped a tooth on one of the many, mysteriously placed rings, he doubted that was going to help much. And whatever the seller said, he doubted the armor he had underneath would protect him from a dog bite.

"Goooood doggy." He muttered nervously, glancing at the window. Could he grab the rope and get down fast enough if the dog attacked? Probably not without getting himself a broken neck. Lovely. "You don't want to eat me, do you?" The dog barked at him loudly. Hopefully that was a yes.

This shaggy haired dog certainly didn't seem like a guard dog, but you never knew. Inching closer to it, he held out his hand hesitantly, prepared to snatch it back and run if he needed. It kept barking at him, even as he started to pet it hesitantly.

It wagged it's tail happily, and Sasin sighed in relief. Just a pet, then. Pulling his hand away, he turned to start with the looting. Naturally, that was when the dog chose to pounce on him. He yelped as he was knocked to the floor, with the dog panting over him.

He was about to start panicking when the dog starting licking and slobbering all over his face. Turning away to keep it from his eyes and, gods forbid, his mouth, he managed to shove the dog away, but not before his entire face and part of his neck was covered in dog drool.

Hearing someone shout, he turned, only to see a man climbing in, as he had, through the window. Another thief, perhaps. That wouldn't do. Grabbing the dog, he pointed at the man.

"Look, another person to play with!" He encouraged, giving the dog a shove towards him. With luck, the dog would distract the man long enough for Sasin to figure out his next move.

If he was really lucky, the dog would pounce at the man and then both of them would fall down, but he supposed there was no real chance of that happening. Still, a thief could dream.

The...short...people...are just not meant for climbing even with a tool to help them. By the time Bob got up he was pretty sure he was going to need a rest and that would mean that it is all up to Jinsen to keep whichever idiot who tried to rob him in line. Wait a second, why is Jinsen working with the enemy? With the sneaky snake's encouragement, the dog which was overcome with joy went bounding straight for its master at the window. The first thing that he thought of when he saw that was not that it was going to be a dangerous fall for him and the dog but...

He still commanded Jinsen to "stop!" in a very harsh tone because "you want to listen to this rat?" His hand still stretched out to Jinsen since apparently the stupid dog seemed to prefer following gestures, Bob got down to find that "its you?" Just how many times does this man want to mess him up? Too many times! The first few he could not do anything about since they were just unfortunate events that he had to put up with but this one? This one was just so sweet. Who cares why he was in the room with a grappling hook outside? The important thing is that "you're trespassing buddy and there is nothing stopping me from turning you in is there?"

Well nothing yet and thinking of the possibilities put a greedy smile on Bob's face. Just in case someone had some ideas on leaving Bob would advice that "I wouldn't try anything..." because it was two to one. Calling out for "Jinsen" Bob held out a finger that went in front of the dog's eyes for it to follow right until he pointed to his captive so that "if he moves, he's all yours." Knowing the dog, it would take it as playtime but only Bob knew that and hopefully the command was vague enough to leave enough of an impression to keep this man still. Already Jinsen was trying to move closer for his playtime but only Bob's whispers of "stay...stay..." was holding it back for now.
