Wow... This is a seriously intense RP site! I've never seen anything like it. My name is Zorayda, but you can call me Z, Zorry, Zora, Zor... anything you want. I'm a 22-year-old college student who has been roleplaying online for approximately seven years, though I am more used to playing as animals than humans/humanoid creatures. I have played some fantasy, mostly including dragons, elves, the whole shebang. However, this website intrigued me greatly, as I am always looking to find decent, literate roleplayers to write with. I'm a very friendly and chatty person, so don't be afraid to PM or write me. I do have a lot of questions though, and I am not sure where to start... I understand I am allowed one character, and she is 'Zorayda', as is my username. I've read some of the rules and such, and a bit of the lore, but it seems as if there is far too much to read! It's a little intimidating. However, I'm sure I'll eventually get the hang of it. I would just like a little bit of advice on what to do first, and a few 'don'ts' of this forum. I am unused to the culture here and it would be great if a cool roleplayer could hold my hand for a little while until I get the hang of it. I don't trust myself not to pull a herpaderp :B

Welcome to Mizahar, Zora.^^ I would have recommended you to play a Klevic if I have seen this sooner, but your CS is half-way done. And they're too mainstream these days.XD Firstly, you should really check up the lore more. At least Master Lists at the top of header. Just to have basic understanding of races, magic, gods and the city you're staying in. Maybe you would want to visit the matchmaker forum and try and find thread buddies and/or family to play with before getting everything done, so you could adjust you history and stuff, but I must warn you, players often give up on forum and you don't want to be left without your twin sister for example after you get going already. After that choose a city you would prefer (come into Zeltiva XD), post in entrance thread and start the fun.

I'd suggest you ignore pretty much any advice given to you besides 'Read the Lore' and 'Read the welcoming PM'. You are allowed up to FIVE accounts, that's five PCs, and we have a quick change account linking feature in the Control Panel so you can switch between them with just a click. Don't be sucked into any recruiting drives or people trying to make nice with you because I think you'll be lost in the crowd fairly soon. Instead, read the city list and find out what you really want to RP and what suits your style. Find a storyteller that will help you work on your individual path, and tell the stories and rp the characters YOU want to rp.

We have an animal race called Kelvics that shapeshift into humans but are still animals that might be up your alley. However, straight humans are great for learning the site and getting involved with friends.

As for the advice you seek, that's pretty much what I've given you. Read your welcoming pm, and feel free to ask specific questions as they come up either here or in PMs to someone who'll answer you (myself or active mods).

Thanks for that. I really appreciate your advice :3 I'll read up on the lore a bit more, though I'm a fairly busy person and it'll take me a while. I sort of skimmed through the welcoming PM, having been a little bit intimidated with all the instructions, buuuuut... I'll go back and dig in a bit deeper tonight. Thanks for the kind words and pointers; I'll definitely adjust my CS as I need it and delve into the types of RPs I'm accustomed to. I appreciate the compliment :3 I have all sort of questions, though I have no clue where to start! I have read up on a LOT of lore for my human character; I've chosen the city where she lives, the goddess she reveres/follows, the skills she possesses... I'm just stuck on a proper history. I have a sort of boring idea at the moment, but I'd like to give Zor a little more... color. I also would like someone to perhaps recommend a good storyteller...? I read up on those, too, and it seems to be an interesting and less-than-scary idea. I even read up on how to create tables and different fonts! I like my table a whole lot :3 Though I hope it isn't too 'busy'.

Name - or what you'd like to be called! Zorayda! That's my 'main' name on forums and such. You can call me Zor, Zorry, Zora, Z... pretty much anything derived from the username ;3 2. What sort of RP experience do you have if any? Seven years of roleplay experience enough for ya? I've roleplayed as felines/canines, ponies, vampires, dragons, Pokemon and Pokemon trainers, robots, people in various settings (futuristic, realistic, sci-fi, erotic)... I've even been the 'DM' of a few roleplays and helped to set the mood and background. 3. How did you find us? Google! 4. What sort of RP style is your favorite? I like nice, long posts to create a story. The universe doesn't matter as much for me--I just love great characters and a dramatic, exciting storyline! 5. What do you like to write about - not write about? Hmm. I like to write about really drastic situations and make my character react to them accordingly. I really like romance, but I also love the heat of battle, emotional trauma, a death scene, anything! I DON'T really like to write about mundane things for too long, and I don't like falling into cliches. 6. Whats your favorite thing about Mizahar so far? The depth of the characters and culture, as well as the friendly staff and members who answer my questions when they get the time. 7. What, if anything, has frustrated you about Mizahar so far? The sheer volume of things to read before starting is very daunting, but I'll do it anyway because I really want to integrate myself and my character into the culture. 8. What would you like out of the mizahar experience? I want to immerse myself into a fantasy world and learn all about it! I also want to learn how to roleplay with the best of them, learning how to write like a pro in the meantime. This is like a grown-up roleplaying site compared to the ones I've been in before; I want to match the skill level of those all around me. 9. Is there anything you'd like to see expanded? For Heaven's sake, what is there to expand upon?!
