Genesis sat on the ledge, her feet dangling a few feet above the water. She sighed, frustration seeping out. She had sat here for about an hour, teasing herself with the idea of jumping into the water. She would love to watch the world slip away into a wet blue haze, but she had worked all morning on her intricate new embroidery on her green dress and couldn't bare to have it hurt.
Around her, people moved about, cleaning up debris from the storm and floating about the many canals. They payed little notice to the dark-haired beauty sitting with her hands fiddling in her lap. Today she looked particularly handsome, the light was just right to let hints of blue and green show in her hair and add a porcelain look to her creamy pale skin. Genesis didn't mind when no one noticed her body, her past had seen enough of that. She knew what men wanted and she knew she had it. The young woman was tired of being an object for conquering, she hid her past and made herself anew.
It was lonely yet peaceful sitting by the canal, but still, she would never deny company.
