29th Day of Spring
The days were beginning to grow hot, making most of the time spent out side uncomfortable. However Aerika had something in mind, she had been getting into several fights recently, more than she was honestly use to, and most with larger people. She thought back to several of the fights she had been having, most of which required her to quickly climb a person and then move around them, making it difficult for them to hit her. She thought back about the movements, each one different, but each useful, she pondered for a few moments and figured she was going to try and practice, jumping between walls and flipping in the air, all of the move she would use if she were to fight. Aerika quickly ran off to an empty alleyway, shade took it over and nothing was truly in the way, making it perfect, no sunlight and nothing to knock her off balance.
She took to the first wall, placing her left arm on it, feeling it, noticing that it was actually very rough, the usual feeling of most of the wall, allowing her to also get use to how it would be to jump off of a building wall. She stood in the alleyway, perfectly straight, and breathed a few deep breaths, getting ready to begin. With her last breath, She looked ahead, determination filled her eyes, and she sprinted toward the first wall, jumping onto it. Her right hand hit the wall with both feet placed against it, and suddenly looked up to see the other wall across from her. She pushed off as hard as she could to launch herself toward the next wall, but found she couldn't pull her feet in front, and instead hit with both of her hands. Aerika fell to the ground, slight disappointment took her over, but it was quickly dismissed as she stood back up, brushing off the dirt and looking back at the walls. |

The rest of the day was nothing more than falling on her side or back one jump after another. She understood the concept, but her body did not want to obey what she wished to do. Not giving up, she continued, even as the sun faded from sight, leaving the alley even darker than it was originally. Luckily she was still capable of seeing better in the dark than most merely since she was use to being up and about in the night. However, being able to see in the dark didn't assist her attempts in trying to leap from one wall to the next. Aerika finally decided that it was most likely best to try something new and come back to this task later with a fresh start.
30th Day of Spring
The fox's hopes were lifted as she thought of something to do, she remembered that her fight tend be with people taller than her. Aerika's immediate thought was that she needed to get quicker at climbing objects larger than her so when a fight occurs she can get where she needs to without taking too long. The little girl's hopes was to get fast enough that the enemy wouldn't even notice she was climbing them. It was easy to pick an object since she was still in the alleyway, the fox looked up at the wall of the building that she was standing next to. Aerika wondered how she was going to get up there and started looking for things to stack up against the wall so that she would be able to climb. A few boxes were the first things found followed by a coupld of barrels that she also rolled up and stacked up. It took her awhile as she pushed some of the objects above herself and then climbed up to pulled it to its proper possition. The sun began to beat down on her, making her sweat as she continued pulling empty boxes up to the tower of boxes she had going. |

The mountain of boxes finally finished, Aerika got back on the ground to look at the successful pyramid. Her face lit up with a smile as she got on all fours to prepare for a jump, one foot slightly more forward than the other while her hands were even. The kelvic looked at the ground first, then back up to the first box, her eyebrows tilted, giving her a smirk with a crazy look. Without a moment to lose, she leaped forward, touching the first box with her hands and pulling the rest of her body toward the boxes. Once her legs reached the first box, Aerika pushed off as hard as she could, managing to pass two boxes before landing on another. From the fourth box up, the young girl used one arm to pull forward and kicked off with one foot to gain a fluid motion; scaling the boxes like she had been doing it for awhile. When she reached the top, she realized she had done it before, just once, with more weight as she put the whole thing together. Aerika giggled as she looked down, it was a good distance down and the sun was in the right position to completely light up the entire alley. The kelvic girl followed the line of her shadow to the wall that was now across from her, she began to wonder if she should even bother trying from that high up. The worst that could happen is that she would push off and crash into the boxes, it wasn't so bad if that's all of the damage that could happen. Aerika only took a moment to look back at the adjacent wall before she crouched down again. Taking even less time than before, she launched her body forward and flipped mid-air to have her feet land on the wall. She body huddled over her legs and her right hand touched the wall as well. For an instant, everything looked as though it had been turned on its side to her, then it slowly shifted back to her being the one that was sideways. Before gravity could take her, Aerika kicked off again, performing the same flip and landing on one of the crates she had stacked up. The same sensation overcame her, she began to understand the whole idea, waiting to adjust, not just springing cause she could. The girl continued this action until she was just above the ground, she looked at the nearby ground and used her moment that she was turning the world and ran down the wall and safely back on the earth below. |
