Looking Up At The Sun (Stgandr)

Time Stamp: 20th of Spring

Shishi was alone. Well I guess that wasn’t completely true she had the sun didn’t she? The woman way laying on her back in the grass with a black veil of hair around her. Her golden hazel eyes were squinted a bit as she was looking up at the sun. Her hands stretched up in vein to reach it, knowing it would leave her alone at the end of the day; just as her mother left her alone in the end.

The woman sighed and turned her head to look at the scenery around her. It was a lovely field with flowers that sprouted up randomly in between blades of grass. She felt more in touch with her other side in this place. It was peaceful, but also very lonely. She didn’t feel so alone as a lioness though. In that form, Shishi had power and strength. In that form she could run quickly and freely. Shishi joked to herself that perhaps in that form she could pounce on the sun.

Maybe Shishi should become that form now. Perhaps she wouldn’t be so alone then. She could burn off the energy she felt from missing another. The woman stretched her body out and closed her eyes. She was going to become her other self.

The woman tilted her head and listened. Her eyes drifted open in awareness. Shishi was not alone. But, who was here? She guessed it didn’t really matter. Being a lioness was her secret retreat, so any presence was an incentive not to change. Now, stuck as a human, she longed for company. Shishi continued to bask in the sun as she looked around the field for her company.

Looking Up At The Sun (Stgandr)

Postby Stigandr on April 4th, 2012, 9:06 pm

The sun beat down on the black stallion, heating his fur to help counter the cold temperature of the air, especially as the sun was traversing the sky slowly and bringing with it colder temperatures as the night drew close. With his life seeming to change before his eyes, he was unsure of how to act or what to do. He had met several new people in the last week and a half or so, people who seemed out of place in Sunberth's harsh and merciless scene, people who seemed to befriend him for who he was. This was new to him and confusing. This also could mean he might bond to one, or might not. He did want a bondmate, to have that connection with someone for the rest of his life, but that was a distant thought at best right now, the scars of the past still too fresh in his mind to let that pleasant thought take any root.

He slowed down, resting near his clothes on the ground, his sides coming to a slow and steady rhythm again. His body was coated in a slight lather from how long and hard he had run, trying to escape his thoughts this day, wishing for them to not be weighing down so much. He was a simple creature with simple desires, and he could not shake this feeling, this instinct in his gut, that something big was happening in his life, that his life was being shaped and molded into something new.

He stopped and looked around, making sure there was no one close and relaxed, closing his eyes for a moment to rest, letting his body relax to a calm state again, just enjoying life as he always had, pretending nothing was changing.

After fifteen minutes or so had passed, he looked around and, seeing no one, shifted into a man and quickly grabbed his clothes and put them on, starting his walk back to the city, his mind elsewhere than what was around him.

Looking Up At The Sun (Stgandr)

She saw him. He was walking in in her direction. He was a man with long, dark hair. It was nowhere as long as her of course, but even in the distance it reminded her of a mane. Shishi had a feeling he was like her as in of the same race, but she couldn’t be sure. It didn’t really matter to her, what he was, but it would be cool if he was a lion.

Shishi waited for him to get closer. She would talk to him because she longed for company. The woman noticed that he had troubled blue eyes. Yes, this man must need company. The two were the same, Shishi would go all in on it. The man should be able to hear her now. The woman propped her head up and called out to him. “Hey, would you like to lay in the sun with me?” Shishi knew this was awkward on human terms because she didn’t know him, but she gambled that he was like her. She gambled he would want company too, so he would join her.

Looking Up At The Sun (Stgandr)

Stigandr felt the soft ground give way, making soft impression around his sandals as he headed back towards the city. The sun was warm, the golden rays like hot water on his body, warming him heart and soul. It was great to be outside and free.

He did not see the person on the ground until she spoke, causing him to jump and move away several feet, looking towards her direction and ready to run or fight. The woman before him had black hair, the color of a starless night. He skin was a nice tanned shade, hinting at her being out here as often as he was, enjoying the freedom. He eyes were a lovely hazel color, but held something deeper in them than just that, but he did not know what.

"Who are you? Why are you out here alone?" He looked to her, wondering how long she had been there, She had to see me change. But why is she not eager to attack me?
