First Steps & Looking For A Job(solo)

Stepping into Zeltiva
1st of Summer, 512 A.V

It was a great sunny day when a stranger arrived to Zeltiva. He seemed worn by a long term journey, his clothes dusted, his hair discolored. In his left hand he was holding the reins of his snow white Avanthalian horse which was also loaded with a large set of saddle bags, beautiful animals. Half way through the Mirahill pass he stopped and took a breather, or a taste of the salty air. Then a moment later he continued his way down the pass just to arrive at The Market Place.
&
It was more or less afternoon, yet the streets were still crowded. He looked around himself maybe see a forge and have an easy start at this new place to him. Yet no forge could be seen or heard. Heard? Yes something could be heard, some kind of hammering sound maybe. Of course someone would probably still work at this time of day. Letosfer was tired enough from his long day, which was actually an all-nighter as he was followed by wolves which didn’t bode well. So he tried to keep a rhythmic pace and walk his way across the crowd to The Shipyard. After some long moments and some small stone steps he finally arrived at his target.
&
The Shipyard, here you could see various ships, with different sizes from small boats to huge galleons, created and embellished with various styles and decorations. Letosfer stood there again for a short moment and admired the amount of ships that could possibly fit in sort of small inlet like this. The ships were crowded like bees in a beehive, some were out in the deep anchored to the bottom of the cove, but especially some captured his eye. Not far from where he stood where just two or three ships that were pulled out of the water and now rested on a special wooden construction similar to that of a Coal powered Caravans, strange machines they are. He went down some more stone steps, Andeyla snorted in protest, obviously she didn’t like steps.
&
Our slender isurian walked up to the closest ship drawn out of the sea on the dry land. The ship probably was magnificent in it’s early days however, now it was just an oversized boat with loads of seaweed and dried salt stuck all over the keel. There was a human carpenter working on the rudder of the ship, which was terribly crushed god knows from what. What hell had the sailors of that ship went through with such damage, moreover they probably had to row through miles and miles for days to get to Mathews Bay.
“Hello there kind man!” he gestured “How is the work going?”.
The carpenter turned alarmed to face whoever was calling, “Aw a traveller!” at first his face had a strange grimace, probably from the amount of hard labor he had done today, yet then he smiled at him. “Tiring lad. D’ya come by ship? They don’t tend to take horses aboard”.
Letosfer smiled “No, I am came by the Mirahill pass. Do you know where I might find some a forge of some kind or some work to do?”.
“Ah the Mirahill pass, ye, I forgot ‘bout this one. Dunno maybe ask at Narvaen Stables or try talking to Johann Calbert at Zeltivan Glassworks. Strange you dinna see the Stables, they are settled just around Mirahill. ‘Bout the latter one it’s on the alleys of the market. But if you wander too much you can check at Sailor’s Guild Hall, over there for some all-day fixing ships labor” he grinned ironically.
“Thank you chief, let’s us meet again someday” He turned back and walked up again the stone steps of the dock, Andeyla snorted in protest as always, “Calm your self girl, they are just steps, I know you prefer snowy forests but you have to bear with me here” he stroke the horse’s mane as he kept walking up.
He might have heard the carpenter shouting something similar to “Visit Kelp Bar for a sailor’s ale!” but he wasn’t sure he heard “Kelp Bar” or “Help Bat” though the second one was kind of unrealistic, it seemed funnier coming from the mouth of a might-be sailor.
&
A dozen of prayers later and lots of turns in narrow alleys he finally found the so awaited wooden sign hanging on a brick wall reading “Zeltivan Glassworks”. The place was not as big as he expected yet a fair number of men where working next to the ovens and over open fires. They were probably apprentices, but one man caught his eye. The man had cleaner clothes and of course a one-piece black apron to emphasize his mastership, compared to the apprentice apron which were usually brown, dirty and covered in holes with some of them patched. He tied Andeyla to a wooden post near the entrance to the workshop, silently knocked once on a wooden pillar and moved to meet the man. “Hello there sir, how can I help you?” a short young lad went in front of him as if he just appeared by some kind of sorcery.
Letosfer jolted, “It’s ok lad, I’d like to speak to your master”.
The young apprentice might have seemed stupid at first sight due to the his strange country accent but he did know when to step aside and continue with his work, which he did, still he smirked while turning his head. Letosfer didn’t give it any thought.
He approached the master “Greetings kind man, my name is Letosfer…” the master interrupted him buy putting up for a second his hand, without taking his eyes off of the blow pipe and the hot glass he was just working on. He blew continuously into the pipe as if he had unlimited air inside his lungs, while with his hands turned the pipe with the glass bubble at the end on a table with a strange surface similar to a mountain range. He stared and blew into the pipe. How could he possibly have so much air inside his lungs. As the time passed the hot glass at the end of the tube started, cooling? And gave it’s place to a glassy structure of mixed colors, as if he had mixed the sky with a green plain in one small ceramic jar and then using a brush laid them on the glassy creation in front of him. He really was a master of his work. “Now what can I help you with my friend?” the glassmith said.
&
Letosfer’s look was still fixed on the glassy creation in front of him, it wasn’t that he had never seen glasses or how they were created, but he that act of creation brought up a flashback of his previous life in Sultros. He was still a child and was gazing upon his fathers forging skills. He was forging a sword, a beautiful izurian steel sword of detailed work. A circle guard to protect the bearers hand from enemy attacks, it was engraved with spiraling curvings starting from the center and drawing out. The hilt was curved from darkwood imported by the wandering traders. The pommel was pyramid-like and bore same markings as the guard of the sword. The blade shone even in total darkness, reflecting even the slightest ray of light, it was silver yet under some angles could turn invisible or totally black. “This my son is a blade you will some day bear by your thigh in remind of your old man” he murmured while polishing the blade. It was one of the most beautiful days of his life, but he never managed to get the sword, his fate was changed. He could not ever take this sword in his hands.
&
" Hey mister, are you feeling alright?” the glassmith nudged him.
“Huh? Yes I’m ok, I just drifted away for a moment”
“I know it’s this time of day after hard work, but you wanted something right?”
“Yes yes, is it possible I could find a forge to work or just some other work I could do in the worst case? There was this carpenter that pointed me here saying you might have some work for me.” Letosfer explained.
“You see there might have been something, but I am not sure. The time is late now and sun is coming down, however I will get my apprentices thoroughly search for some forge parts or equipment in the warehouse and we might get some forge up and working, don’t expect much. You’ll have to get your own customers and get your own money. Me? I might just borrow you the equipment and you’ll pay me someday when I’m old and you earn enough money to settle your own forge. I remind you, don’t get your hopes high, I’ll check the warehouse tomorrow and we’ll see what we can get you.”
“Hatwo hatwo hatwo!” Letosfer laughed “that are one wanna-be great news in the past two weeks. Thank you for everything Mr. Calbert”
“Now, let us meet tomorrow again and see what we can make of you”.
&
As of that Letosfer went out, untied his faithful horse Andeyla, shot one more glance on the workshop while apprentices were taking of their aprons or extinguishing the ovens. He help the reins of his horse in his left hand and walked out to the market place full of proudness staring at the celadon blue sky where for now only just one start was visible.
“Let’s find a place to spend the night Andeyla” He smiled, she snorted.

Okay... just a few observations to go through. First off, a minor thing in your character sheet, you need to change throwing dagger to just dagger, as it's not a seperate skill.

Next, is your formatting. Currently, your writing is very hard to read. It doesn't need to be centred, and the '&' between each paragraph makes it even more unclear. Please just use standard breaks between paragraphs, and remember to put a break between each new speaker of dialogue. If you do these things, your threads will be much easier to read.

Finally, please PM me regarding employment so we can get wages and things sorted for you officially.
