The Captain was as shocked as Ronar as the girl jumped up and told her story. Ronar had not expected such a show from her, but soon cottoned on and followed the lead as she almost broke into tears. "What can I say? Accidents happen, Sir!" Ronar grinned sheepishly and raised his arms in a shrug. He stepped out of the box and went to hug the Konti to make it look like he genuinely cared, as the girl's lie had made out. He put an arm on one of her shoulders and patted the other one with the free hand, all while keeping eye contact with the Captain and holding his confidence-lacking grin on his face. "Like she said, we'll work for our keep!" He straightened up and stood to attention, showing how he was ready to work for the Captain. The Captain himself was vary taken aback and had watched the ordeal of the two stowaways explaining their presence in amusement. If the two had asked for safe passage across the Suvan, he would have granted it without a problem, but now that they were practically begging for mercy he could take advantage of it and use the man power for all he could. "You, girl, you will spend the journey cleaning, cooking and looking after any sick crew men." He said this as he pointed to her, subduing the smile looking to spread across his lips. He could rather get use to having power over people, and the expressions on the face's of the two people before him was comical. "And the boy, you will work till you can't stand, then you'll work some more!" This was said with no more conviction than the first, but he he had to try and assert himself as their superior. |
