Hadrian was aware of Ethan's emotional state and figured he ought to put his feathers on and go hunting when this was all over; he needed time in his other form to maintain the balance his people strove for. He had hoped the two Kelvics might become friends, but perhaps there was something to their animal natures that made them more competitive with other males than they might be with females. Their dual natures were intricate and interesting, at least to Hadrian. As the magic faded and Zerren watched, the glyphs disappeared before his very eyes, leaving perhaps a few smudges of what had been there before, but not enough to duplicate them. "No, you won't need the symbols," he explained. "Those allowed me to channel my own aura through yours to share some of what I sense. But now your mind knows what it feels like when you are doing it right, so we will have to teach you to meditate until you can invoke it yourself. That might take a while." He didn't like to admit how long it had taken him to reach any real level of competency, but the people he had shared with like this had inevitably mastered it faster than he had. You seem to be treating your green text as an excuse for intermittent first person writing, which does not flow well with the rest of the writing on the site.
