Name: Lillith Adams
Birthday: Born 20 Summer 468 AV
Date of Death: Died 30 winter 492 AV (Aged 24)
Gender: Female
Race: Ghost
Physical Description:
Lillith stays the same as she did when she was living, so that her fiancé would recognise her. She stands at 5”9’ and weighs around 120lbs. Her hair is glossy black in colour and waves around her shoulder and down to her waist. Her lips are ruby red, her skin a light tone and her eyes a deep midnight blue. Her face is often tinged with a soft sadness, but lights up like saint when she ever smiles. Lillith is seen always wearing a circular amulet. It is supposed to represent life and creation; All of it everlasting and connected. She is seen in her favourite dress, which was given to her from her betrothed. It was created with silk brocade, with a low bodice and was made up of exotic colours.
Character Personality:
Lillith was a strong believer in life never giving up hope or faith in the darkest situations. She was a born optimist, always looking for that silver lining in the dark cloud. She was soft-spoken, charming, and elegant. She took it upon herself to use her skills and knowledge to keep all’s faith and belief strong. Lillith did have trouble saying “No” to people due to her kind-hearted nature. As she believed there to be good in everyone’s heart, she was quite naïve to the real darkness in the world. When another feels a strong emotion, such as anger or sadness, whether she wants to or not, Lillith picks up on it and even starts to feel it herself. So she can become very irritated at an angry person and not stay calm like she would want to do. Death has not changed her peaceful and thoughtful persona. Death has changed her perspective on many things however, such as love, hate, war, peace and life itself.
Character History
Pro-Creation: Lillith was born in the city of Nyka to Ezekiel and Ava Adams. They were both devout Monks and strong believers and of course, Lillith followed in their footsteps. Their belief was firmly in Xannos of the Tempered Anvil. Since Lillith was not allowed in the Monastery as a child, she lived with her uncle and was visted by her parents as often as they could.
At a young age, Lillith was fascinated by the world around her. She loved to learn about creation nature and life itself. She then felt suffocated by her lack of freedom. Why could she not keep an open mind about Religion? One should have the right to chose. Not be chosen for. When she brought the issue up with her parents, they were against it entirely. They said that Lillith would shame them and The Celestials by turning to another God or Goddess. She was upset and felt they did not understand. So she studied all of the Religions secretly, feeling guilty about disobeying her parents, but then feeling excited about how much she was learning. She became particularly mystified with the Ukalas. She loved how all things could be connected with one another so strongly.
So Lillith kept this up for years. She eventually became more open that she wasn't fully devout to any Celestial. Monks became wary of her, but said nothing as she was quite young and it was considered just a phase she would grow out of. In the year 479 when Lillith was 11, her parents were both killed while defending the city. She turned to her uncle. He loved her very much, but like her parents, he didn't approve of what she was doing. He was much softer to her than her parents were, but she was upset that no one seemed to understand her beliefs.
Years passed, Lillith quietly still studying other Religions, but still worshipping Xannos, the Celestial her family had put their entire faith in. People whispered, but they tried to treat her like any other Nykan as she was born and breed there. Lillith became tired of the tension and decided to become a monk the fellowing year in 492. But fate seemed to have another plan for her. She met a fellow Nykan named Samuel Jonason and fell in love with him. He was stricken by her and of course felt the same. Lillith considered him perfect. He was kind, compassionate and wanted peace in the world more than anything. But most of all, he accepted her. He had no problems with what she believed in. She continued to prepare herself for becoming a monk and then it hit her. She might have to leave Samuel. That hauled on her heart painfully. Then the worst happened. He had asked for her hand that same year. Becoming a monk, religion, the tension. It all fell out of her thoughts that moment. Overwhelmed with joy and her heart taking over her head, she said yes. Samuel gave her a beautiful dress which she adored, having never possessed such a beautiful thing.
Lillith tried very hard to hide her upset feelings from Samuel. She was happy with him, but she felt she had lost a very important oppurtunity to be accepted. After time, Samuel began to start acting suspiciously and was out much more often. Lillith wanted to shake it off and think positive like she always did, but she couldn’t get rid of the terrible feeling she had. Once she raised the issue with her betrothed, he was enraged. Lillith at first was scared and confused at his outburst, but the anger spread like a disease. She was soon yelling at him, her peaceful nature broken. Samuel stormed out and not to long after that, Lillith was in floods of tears. What had she done? What if he never came back? She followed Samuel in order to find him and make amends, but came across him doing something horrible. Killing a monk. They had been having a very heated discussion that Lillith couldn’t hear and before she knew it, Samuel had whipped out a dagger and stabbed the man till he lay motionless on the ground with skirts of blood flowing beneath him. He turned to her, covered in blood and with a fearful look in his eyes. He tried to mouth a sentence to her. Lillith I’m…. Lillith wanted to help him, but then her breath was halted. A dagger was thrust and twisted into her heart. The last thing she could remember was Samuel's scream as she fell to the ground.
Other Information:
Desires:
Lillith plans to answer her questions that shot her all at once the night she died. Who was the monk Samuel was talking to? Why did he kill him? What was he trying to tell her? But most of all, she wants to know who killed her and why they did so. Lillith understands that the killing of a monk and herself would be covered up greatly by the monks and she knows she will be a challenge to uncover the truth.
