On a side note...
If you get a PM from me asking you to change or alter something you are doing to fit into our parameters either game rules wise or traditional wise - please don't take it personal. I routinely get the 'Your tone of voice was belittling...' PMs in return. I have no idea how asking someone to please review a wiki entry and the Rules and Terms of Use is constructed as condescending, but evidently it seems that way.
I don't coddle players.
I shoot straight from the hip and tell them how it is. I'm notorious for it. If you girls are wearing a dress irl that makes you look twenty pounds fatter while on your body, I'll be the friend that tells you so and helps you burn it. If your new girlfriend makes trash look high class, guys, I'll tell you so. It's what normal people SHOULD be like in my opinion.
Things shouldn't be padded - life never pads the hard knocks. Things shouldn't be sugar coated - I rebelled when Rite Aid started adding sugar flavorings to liquid childrens medicines. And if you are the type of person that has delicate feelings and needs this approach, Wind Reach and my immediate sphere of influence is definitely not the place to plop your ass down and roleplay. But, remember, I'm a Founder and I started this game along with my buddies. So even if your over in Syliras or down in Eyktol or in the deep jungles of Falyndar - I'm going to be there to breath down your neck if I see something stupid, inappropriate, or against our rules. It just might take longer. And frankly, I'll just tell you. I've been like this for years. I'll be like this the rest of my life.
Why? That's what good people do. They communicate. They do so with your best interests at heart. And if you know me irl or know me from the net, you will understand that condescending is about the last thing I actually am. Just because my writing reads strong and forceful doesn't mean it comes from a bad place. It doesn't.
You've now been told. This game is my family in a lot of ways, and I'll treat you like family - each and every one of you until you do something stupid that makes me decided a divorce is necessary.
