This character, for all intents and purposes, could be best be imagine as if "Mixed Blood" of a Ghost + normal race. I don't have the exact details thought up behind their history just yet, but for the general idea;
- The PC is actually the souls of two siblings who now share one body. Only one soul is dominant at a time while the other is dormant, but the two share memories and time in control. Think of a split personality.
- At one point, Sibling Y died through some violent method. Rather than die normally, their spirit/soul/ghost was then, through some unnatural process (Likely Magical? I haven't thought much on the actual history yet), absorbed/fused/bound to Sibling X, who survived. This is not "possession", but the actual attachment of the Y's soul to X's body.
- As a result, Sibling X/Y has become "Mixed Blooded" and partially living, partially ghost. Due to Sibling X still living, who's body they share, they would roughly be 2/3 Living and 1/3 Ghost (Just to give the idea of which is dominant).
- They are primarily living, not a Ghost; so they would be corporeal the grand majority of their time regardless of which sibling is dominant. This would mean;
- They do not have the Ghost's Materialization skill; instead, they would have the "Ethereal" skill...Which could be the reverse of a Ghost's materialization. The higher the Ethereal Skill, the better control they have over becoming more incorporeal (Such as Harmful touches, or Blinking).
- They do not have the Soulmist Projection skill, but could use the standard Possession.
- Having the "Possession" skill is possible; but only if their Ethereal skill was high enough, say Expert-level or higher.
- They do not have the Ghost's Materialization skill; instead, they would have the "Ethereal" skill...Which could be the reverse of a Ghost's materialization. The higher the Ethereal Skill, the better control they have over becoming more incorporeal (Such as Harmful touches, or Blinking).
- Though primarily organic, part of their body is composed of a Ghost's Soulmist. This would mean;
- When Sibling Y (The Ghost) is the dominant soul, their shared body takes on this siblings appearance.
- Their body is stressed due to supporting the Djed of two souls; their body is weaker, more prone to injury, making them frail.
- Damage takes longer to recover from due to the Soulmist having a slow recovery time.
- Their body is vulnerable to things used against Ghosts; like a Spiritist's "Lie" or "Safezones".
And thats the general idea behind a character I was thinking up. Again, the exact details behind the character isn't fully thought out; I just wanted to know if something along the lines of this would be acceptable?
