A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Pain, pain, pain.....it echoed in his mind as he was now feeling better, both physically and mentally, he smiled absent as he was happy his sight was clear now. Still a bit cautious about her he picked up a corner of his cloak wiping what was left of the blood on his arm. His smile now noticable was spreading wider and wider on his mouth as he heard her talk of Rhysol, his lips openned a bit only to be closed the next moment as he awaited for her to finish.

"His army of murdderers and traitors is nothing to be afraid of, and if nothing more, i would have been dead a long time ago if it was not for his blindness" he grinned happilly as he always like to argue about things, hey.....he was a teenager after all.

His breathing paused for as much as a moment while his lips became unsealed again: "No coin can replace a friend, no god is better than the other, and there is not a need more divine than to evade death, but i do not wish any further argues with you, you look far too beautyfull for me to be wasting words around you".

He followed her and they reached an entrance while she was telling him it was some old shack and it was really not that well patrolled. He stopped at the entrance waiting for her to move first.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Xenova Prillar on May 30th, 2010, 12:07 am

Xenova simply curled her lips in a tight smile at this boy, he was just what she needed, stubborn and set in his ideas. What a toy Rhysol had given her and how lucky was the boy that she would play with him. His kind were the best to corrupt besides those who were not corrupt at all to begin with. She simply looked into the boys eyes, fixing them with her silver irised ones and found a chair to plop down in in a manner that was most definitely not seductive.

She allowed him to rant about gods and friends both could be tools in the right hands this was a teaching of Rhysol. As he wound down making the comment about her beauty she allowed herself to color and look as if she were graciously taking his compliment. She then spoke softly

Nay I would disagree with you Dragan, we do not murder nor betray. We simply corrupt that which need corrupting and if we have to eliminate that which gets in the way then that is what we do. Of course if you have never had to kill or corrupt then you would see it as such. And it could be argued that you live only because he has watched over you and approves of you.

She smiled softly again and she thought about friends. The few she held close to her were only to be trusted as far as it took to achieve whatever goals she had to achieve. Few really got to her heart and those she knew could be taken without a moment's notice.

Friends Dragan...those are something you keep few of. Attachments are nice but they can be taken from you and then where are you? That is why my fealty is in Rhysol, he is not going anywhere nor will he disappoint me.

She smiled and waited for the boy to respond

Dragan`s thoughts were conflicted in more ways than one. Yes, she was probbably not the sort you should mess with. Yes, she was probbably some sort of an enemy. Yes, she was dangerous, but what the hell, she was beautyfull, and after all, you only live once. He litsened to her speak, still not able to agree to pretty much anything she said, but that was still an interesting display of faith, at least to him who never really followed the gods much.

"No god can tell me if he approves of me or not, cause i do not approve of any of them. And you are wrong, you really are, if there ever was a reason a god would watch over me, it is now long lost" his face kept smiling in a playfull manner as his ego did not allow him to get thrown of his track. He could never lose in a discussion about how good or bad the gods are, not even to a someone as seductive as her.

His mind cross examined her words on friends and attachments, and dropped it quickly, for he would never allow himself to even think in that manner, even less speak.

"I had friends, a long time ago, i had a family too, they are all dead now, and i am still here, so i must disagree. Even if everything around you dies, it is still all more of a foul play between the gods, and even if it is with a price, fighting them is always the best way" he shook his head sideways for a bit before looking up to her again, still not sure what was going to happen.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Xenova Prillar on June 4th, 2010, 12:11 am

Xenova never changed her expression no matter what Dragan would say or do. It was a part of her personality to play the game to its end no matter what the toys Rhysol sent to her were like. She also knew that it was inevitable that those Rhysol sought would come round, he would not allow anything else. This she knew to be the way of the world, her smile was pleasant and revealed white teeth that showed she was still a lady of breeding. He voice was soft and melodious like that of a autumn breeze.

That too is where you are wrong Dragan, what makes a god a god is the ability to approve or disapprove regardless of belief. Rhysol is chief among the gods because he does not care whether you believe in him or not at first, he simply know that once he has you in his sights he will not let you go. That is the mark of one who gets what he wants.

She laughed as the boy showed great conviction and bravado, he would make an excellent apprentice if he would open his mind.

Perhaps you are wrong, perhaps the reason you shun the gods is the reason Rhysol watches you. Perhaps it is that you have been done wrong by a god, perhaps you seek revenge? Rhysol embraces those who seek revenge, he believes in it as to his faithful. He is also powerful enough to take that revenge or empower those who seek it to take it.

She smiled softly as she looked at this youth, he was defiant and angry this she knew by instinct as most young ones are. If she could simply get to that part of him...perhaps.

You may fight all you want. It is welcome in some cases. Rhysol would not have you come blindly..if you come at all.

Dragan thought of being carefull again and than his thoughts quickly drifted off quickly again as he looked at her again in all her glory. Oh well, if he was meant to die somwhere around here, so be it, it`s not like someone like she can kill him, at least he hoped he was right. For someone who just happened to wander around a dark alley, she was pretty much in league with Rhysol, maybe too much, he was not sure.

"Oh, sure than i better hope oh so great chief of the gods, Rhysol, does not smite my punny self" he spoke with a sarcastic grin, irony present in his tone. "Revenge? That would be a way to put it, but to kill a god, another is needed, and i don`t or ever will owe anything to those bloodsuckers" he smiled absent as he was looking around.

"I would really love to fight with you, but can we just arrive somwhere already, i think i need to lay down" he said in a weak tone of voice as the possible stake of overgiving was getting near, but will it strike him down, that much was still unsure.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Xenova Prillar on June 7th, 2010, 2:26 am

Xenova looked oddly at Dragan as he spoke of getting somewhere as she had led him to a safe house and put him to bed before they began the heart of their conversation. Perhaps the wound was affecting him, maybe whoever wounded him had also poisoned him and he was hallucinating. She found that idea fascinating being a poisoner herself and wondered what kind of poison could induce such lucid dreams. She chuckled out loud.

Why you have been in bed for a while Dragan. I brought you here quite a while ago, don't you remember? Maybe I should fetch you a drink and some food? Perhaps when you are stronger you will be able to remember where you are.

She seemed to be honest in her desire to care for the boy and deeply concerned that he was not aware of where he was. She kept any note of derision from her voice as she spoke to him. Getting him to believe she had his best interests at heart was part of the game. If he could trust her even a little, she could play on that.

As to Rhysol being the smiter, oh he does his fair share of smiteing to be assured. However he does not do so without cause, we are all but puny compared to him. Even I am an insect, I had to learn that the hard way.

She went to a nearby container that she kept fresh water in and drew some in a stone cup for him to drink and soothe his fever, she could see something was wrong but not being a mage she did not know what over giving was. She only hoped rest and food and drink would bring him round.

You should think on it then. If it takes a god's help to kill a god, then maybe you should enlist the help of one? Of course if you really believe your own puny self can take that revenge in the god you seek, then by all means go it alone. Owing is not so bad if the rewards are great enough

Wait, what the hell? They were already somwhere? Than why the hell was the room moving? Not sure was the overgiving so high or did she lie to him, he was now calming down from his confused reaction. Power for a price, right? Well than he will first try destroying his body in order to be great enough to catch up with Rhysol, his soul on the counter part is not going anywhere, for now.

"Yes, sure, safehouse, thanks" were all the words he could mumble as the fever was starting to make him less and less lucid.

He did not like for others to see him weak and worn out like this, he did not want to be taken care of, he despised the very feeling of not being able to do something, but right now he did not really have a choice as he sunk deeper into his thoughts. She seemed as a friend, but she was too much out of the ordinary for him to accept that quickly, or at least trust that quickly.

He may be weak, but when it comes to trashing gods, hell, he could do it to his death bed, and after all, maybe this was it. "Smiting? Puny? Damn it, we are not insects, for if we are, why do they so hard cling onto their insect worshipers?" he almost yelled this all out with both his anger and fever throwing him off track.

He calmed down as he drank some water, only to continue again: "Thank you, but no thank you. Now a simple question for you, why do you serve him?" it was too obvious for him not to notice the connection between the two of them, but he was not strong or uspet enough to take any of what he just said seriously.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Xenova Prillar on June 11th, 2010, 2:38 am

Xenova smiled as Dragan was realizing where he was, it might be a good sign that the fever would soon be coming down. She soaked a cloth in cool water and applied it to his head to cool him. The boy was brash and full of vinegar, then again so was she before she found Rhysol to be a good outlet for that anger. She smiled softly at him, her lips curving upward in what she hoped was a friendly gesture.

She spoke to him again, her alto voice less seductive and more soft and quiet, though she suspected she would have to speak fairly clearly to penetrate the fever. She nodded, her auburn locks falling to her shoulders and around her face as he thanked her for taking him to the safe house as she called this building. She then answered his response to her calling them insects

But we are Dragan, think about it carefully, the gods do not actually need us,they can summon or create followers as they will. We are here for their amusement, we are their playthings. Some simply realize that and make that something constructive. There is nothing wrong with amusing a being that when properly amused will grant you power. The thing you have to decide is what kind of power you want. Revenge is Rhysol's domain, the lord of Chaos loves those who seek to get back at someone, even if that someone is a god.

She smiled as he drank the water and refused her offer, she knew there were ways to convince him, she would have to keep on trying.

I came to Rhysol as a babe, I was dedicated to him from the moment my parents found me, I was abandoned by my human parents for the way I look. You say the gods cannot be trusted? Well I say we ourselves as mortal beings cannot be trusted, look at what the one's who birthed me did to me. Rhysol took me in by the love of my parents, he protected me when I needed it and so I return to him my gratitude for that.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Dragan on June 12th, 2010, 9:44 pm

Power through light, weak power indeed, but not a costing one, that was what he was sticking to up until now, but now, the very idea of the powerfull shadows lingering in the dark, made his skin tremble in desire. Or maybe it was the fever, one way or the other, he was too tired off fighting, too tired of lying, even running was boring now...... and so he slowly started giving in. After all if someone as tortured as her can find salvation in a god, maybe it is worth the trouble after all. He had already given in, but it was no fun to just say that to her, as he was continuing her twisted game.

"So if we really are insects, and all we are to them is amusement, than why would any of them risk anything to help one of us? Or to give us power? Or to even kill one of their own? NO...... we all walk our own path towards revenge, no matter where it ends" he spoke quickly and harshly as he was still not able to control his tone well due to the fever that was keeping him tied down to the bed. His words sounded so hollow to him, but he did not have this much time lying in ages.

"So anyway, why are you so fixed on getting me to serve a foul godlike creature?" he did not really want to know, but he could imagine the fun as she would have to use only the best words she could find to dodge the question. His face lit up with a twisted sadistic smile, for even if he was hurting, he considered cornering someone to be the biggest pain of them all. The smile quickly left his face as he was now looking at her confused face awaiting for it to make some kind of sign or sound of reaction.

A fatefull encounter ( Xenova )

Postby Xenova Prillar on June 14th, 2010, 2:18 am

Xenova of course did not read minds so she would not know what was really going through Dragan's mind. If she had she would have continued to play the game as the corrupting was half the fun. She was enjoying the arguments immensely and had discovered that the truth was far more convincing than any lie. This kid was out for one god,and was turning his back on the others as a result, now which one was what the question was and how to convince him that Rhysol would take care of it. In reality if he were mad at one of the Dark gods it was not likely that Rhysol would do anything, but you never knew what held the god's attentions.

She listened as his fevered rantings went on, she knew that most of it was the fever but she knew she was reaching him on some plane or he wouldn't be arguing so vehemently. She thought about what he had to say and she decided to honestly answer him from her own twisted mind.

Well Dragan, the truth is they do enjoy the power they have over us. They may not need us but they do enjoy us. They give us power because it amuses them to watch what we do with it. They would kill one of their own if for no other reason than to take their power for their own. We all walk our own path, but if we get help, what does it matter?

She smiled not in confusion as Dragan would expect but in satisfaction, he was asking the question he should have been asking all along. Now she was sure he was thinking and able to think for himself.

I want you to know the feeling of power and control I have known, the feeling that you are being watched over and cared for. These are things I have found in Rhysol. I have a purpose in life and his purpose is mine, he grants me favor when I have earned it and that favor may aid you in your quest.

she smiled as she again spoke the truth, she did not lie as she did not have to and even if she did, she loved lying.
