65 day of Spring
Fade walked right into one of the main squares. The sunlight illuminated stalls and people. The sheer vibrancy of the place was astonishing.
Fade absorbed it all, the colours and the smells that made their way through the air.
She had half a mind to step into the crowd of street performers and stalls and do a little show. But her thoughts were always focusing on new things that surrounded her.
And there in the middle of the square she started to laugh, feeling the life around her, the freedom.
When she had finished browsing through various stalls she took her place among the performers and an exotic food stand, in its shadow she slipped of her dress to reveal her contortionist costume she had under. Her costume consisted in a simple white leotard.
She focused on her movements, and started to contort. She did her part perfectly the years of training taking the lead, face a smiling mask though her body was bending unnaturally. Her body moved seamlessly, moving from contortion with such grace it seemed so easy.
She took out her ball, making it run over her moving body like water, never making it fall: a foot, finger or elbow always catching it and sending it on its way.
Then she took the ball in her hand stretched and bent down backwards till she was flat against her legs and deposited the ball at her ankles, then she came slowly up till she was erect again and had a full view of the square...
