Standing at 5'7" and 134 lbs, Kaley is tall and slender. Because of her years of dancing, she has lean, taunt muscles covering her body. She possesses smooth cooper skin, full lips, and emerald eyes that have been known to change in the sun. They always look as if she is hiding a secret. She has laughing creases around her mouth from smiles and dark circles from years of tears. She has springy curls that bounce as she walks and that can only be tamed with a serum. She also has an ink marking of a cat branded into her shoulder from when she was young. It has been said that her eyes, her movements, and her personality are all very catlike.

Character Concept
Kaley is an object of pleasure and nothing less. She is here on this world to fullfil desire and to be the very picture of beauty at all times, or so she is told. The true Kaley is one of a quiet sort of demeanor. She is timid, soft-spoken and kind. She has been known to always place thought in her words. For if her words did not have meaning, than what need would there be to say them? She is pious and dedicates her purpose to Yahal. But! Somewhere locked away, deep inside her, Kaley is begging to be free, to live life for her own. To these fools of Eypharians, all they will ever see is her shy smile and charming face. If only they could taste her hatred, seething and dripping from her pump lips.

Character History
Kaley's childhood was filled with days playing inside the city, living in the kindness of the Benshira. Her father was a spice trader who specialized in selling the coveted tea leaves from their land. Her mother was somewhat of a pharmacist, tinkering with different ointments made from her husband's spices. As a young child she would walk hand-in-hand with her parents down the aisles of spices. Her father would point to some and tell her how to get the best uses from it. Others, her father would let her taste and smell. Kaley was the only child and the pride and joy of her parents. She was such a curious child, her parents couldn't help to abide in her wandering interests. Sometimes mother's experiment would go bad. They would turn noxious and smell sickly to the nose. These were the ones Kaley loved best. She was forever trying to understand how such simple ingredients could mean either life or death depending on the combination. Many times she would get in trouble for trying them on helpless volunteers, luckily she was always caught just in time. She never did forget those recipes for death though.

Yes, Kaley had all the love she could ever need in her life. Her parents taught her how to be good and just and most of all how to, in all things of life, trust Yahal. Her parents were most devout. Yahal had provided them with a prosperous trade and an obedient daughter. Kaley's mother had taught her how to dance for Yahal. She would often say, "When in fear, dance for Yahal and he will hear." Kaley was becoming quite a talented dancer, some said one of the best in the city. When asked Kaley would continuously say, " It is all for the glory of Yahal!" She had even been asked to compose a special dance for the Feast of Eliajon. Kaley had felt so honored and nervous that she could not stop herself from shaking for days. Her mother, seeing her child so distraught, pulled Kaley aside to give a secret. She was presented with a beautiful ornate box. Inside possessed a pair of canary silk war fans adorned with a tiger prowling motif. When flipped open, it made a loud pop from the series of long iron ribs. At the very top of these ribs, there were small iron spikes. As the fan is thrown into the air, the spikes extend out and create an intricate pattern of movement. It is not known where these fans had come from, only that no one had the ability to master them. Terrible accidents have been had by these prickly fans, but Kaley showed no fear. She practiced with them everyday and learned to contorte her body and movements to match her beautiful fans.

One fall she had begged her parents to let her journey with them for the harvest. Every fall her mother and father would take a caravan to Ahnatep to sell what they had picked. Kaley had heard stories about the wondrous city and those who dwelled there. She had wanted to see with her own eyes. Her father had agreed, it was after all her 14th Fall. Besides, he knew those desert roads better than his own city. The desert road had been harsh on Kaley's smooth skin but she was comforted by her mother's loving touch and special ointments. It was lovely to be in the back of the caravan with her mother, learning all there is to be a Benshira. Suddenly, the caravan stopped. Then the sound of hooves, beating the sand, growing closer and closer. There were many screams and words she could not understand. Her mother grabbed Kaley's arm and pushed her into a trunk, begging her to be still. Kaley covered her mouth, praying she would not be found. She began to pray, squeezing tears from the corners of her eyes. The trunk lid lifted, and sunlight blared through. Many arms grabbing her, and shoving her onto the hot sand. She wiped her face and began to look at the four-armed creatures surrounding her. She was oh so frightened, and couldn't understand what they wanted. They were jeering and snarling at her, crowding her from all sides. Then she saw the blood...Her parents were cut down in the crossfire and would smile to Yahal no more. She sucked in a breath and remembered what her mother had told her. Snatching her fans strapped to her thigh, she clicked them open and danced. Tears streaming down her face, she danced for her parents, she danced for Yahal, she danced for life. She gave her last twirl and slammed her body into the sand, catching the fans into her teeth. The creatures roared with laughter and applause. An arm grabbed her and strapped her to a horse, hands tied behind her back, riding towards the desert sun.

Weary from the heat and sore from the horse, she stumbled onto a green, lush floor. She could hear arguing in that strange tongue behind her. Kaley feared she had been sold as a slave. She began to look at her surroundings, trying to decipher where she was. It was a courtyard. A courtyard like Kaley had never seen. It was full of lush greenery, date trees and flowering jasmine. Kaley was in awe, realizing that she could only be in one place, Ahnatep. Apparently the Eypharian who grabbed her was looking for a better standing with the Pressorah. He believed giving her a new concubine was his way in, which was what a Garden and the Eypharian were arguing about in the background. Kaley was filthy from the ride and covered in her parent's dried blood from their last embrace. It was difficult to see the rare beauty she possessed at a mere 14 years. A woman approached her, grabbing her hand. Kaley spoke out in Shiber, pleading that she wasn't a slave. The woman made no response as she lead Kaley towards the bath. Upon seeing the steaming water and fragrant spices, Kaley stopped fighting. It would be nice to be able to wash the dust off my face, she said to herself. The woman gestured towards the bath and let the door close after her. Kaley undressed, examining her budding body before stepping into the water. She pulled her knees up to her chest and began to weep. What a tragedy she had fallen into!

Kaley was in quite a predicament. It was impossible for her to run away, she had no where to run to. Her family was dead and there was no way she could cross that desert alone. She had been told by the attending maid that she was in the Garden of Concubines and that she must win her way into a life of luxury. Though, she was also told that life would never be hers. Kaley had a choice to make and she chose life. She made a solem promise that she would dedicate whatever life she did have to Yahal and that one day she would have vengeance for her parent's murder. She was dressed and ready for the preliminary inspection. She kept her head down as a sign of respect until the inspecting gardener stood before her. She whipped her head back, curls bouncing along her shoulder, and looked straight into his eye with her own emerald ones. She looked fierce and proud, with a single tear falling from her eye she looked like a wounded tigeress, dangerous yet unfathomably beautiful. She had passed her first test and was given luxury as a reward. In thanks to Yahal, Kaley had refused these gifts and lived a life of piety. She ate modestly, and dressed conservatively, and most of all, she danced for hours on end.

In a month's time, she had been called before the Pressorah to prove her worthiness. Kaley prepared by taking a perfumed bath. She traced her eyes and her arms with intricate designs in kohl and dusted gold powder through her hair and onto her body. She chose to wear only a single gold droplet earring and chose a very sheer golden silk drapping from her body. She chose no other jewels or ornaments. Others had took to calling Kaley, "Tigeress", and she embraced the new name. Kaley walked through the palace and into the throne room. Light was shimmering off the gold powder dusted on her skin and her "tiger" stripes. Her robes were lowered so that the whole court could see her cat brand and make the connection for themselves. Her practically see-through robe showed all her budding beauty. Kaley had wanted the Pressorah to see true beauty without the need of precious jewels or stones. Just as one would not cover a tiger, Kaley refused to cover herself. She stood proud and fierce. This was raw beauty.

Kaley fell to her knees giving the Pressorah and her nobles a deep bow, with her head touching the floor. She gave a silent prayer to Yahal and jumped to her feet, her fans fluttering in her fingers. The iron spikes, dropping golden powder like snow as they moved. In front of the whole court, Kaley gave her "tigeress" dance, using the fans as claws. Stalking and growling she began her dance. She moved so passionately and full of grace, dancing as she never had before. She flowed through the room like water, her fans moving quick as knives until she became a golden blur. It looked so effortless, as if the gods themselves were moving Kaley. She gave a roar and flew through the air, twirling with her fans before catching them in her teeth. There she stood grasping for air with her hands outstretched to Yahal. A single peacock feather fell to her feet. Kaley gently picked the feather off the ground and give it a sweet kiss before leaving the room. She had successfully been admitted to the Garden of Concubines. Here, she was trained in the art of beauty, dance, and shadows. For to be Pressorah's one must be a hidden gem.

Nine years later, Kaley had lost much of her ferocity, but she yearned for the day that she could once again become the Tigeress.
