When Andraste laughed in a kind way it sounded peaceful and light. Like snow falling with the cold wind.

"Well you are quite the cat." replied Andraste, with the greatest of smiles across her face. "I wonder what it must be like... To be so in tune with nature, I mean. I have to admit I somewhat envy you. It must be incredible to just be able to transform into a beautiful tiger." she spoke with a romantic hue to her eyes but she held a small sliver of sadness.

"It has it's perks, but there are always too side to every life. Such as I will live to be only about 23 human years. I am six as of now. And you have to accept that you and your human side are one, but one will be more dominate. One will control how you act. Also there is the longing to have a Master or Mistress and seeing as I'm a feline it's most unusual for me to not have a Master or Mistress. As a kelvic we crave, for lack of a better word, the dominance of another. And though it seems not so bad, I have always found that to be our downfall. If we don't have a Master or Mistress we usually either kill ourselves, let our animal side take over, or die alone and depressed but do not have the heart to release yourself to death."

"I have met many Kelvic in my time. And many of which had masters but there were a couple that I had met not on good terms. 'And I am quite that cat' you could say. But that's because my tiger is more dominate. And beautiful as it may seem there was always people who find us abominations. Animals and humans should be split, is always their arguments. It's quite sad when you have to wear a cloak to hide yourself just to meet someone who lives in a town her who looks down upon Kelvic." Not wanting to bring the mood down more than it was already Samantha smiled, "So Etherfal. You know they are very curious to me. Only met one that said to talk to them at night but I didn't stick around. Do you know anything as of know? You said that when in your human side you didn't know a lot? I don't remember exactly. What are the perks of being the mysterious 'night' race.

Samantha's blush had died down but she could still feel some heat to her cheeks. And she could now keep eye contact with out having urges to shift and pretty much cuddle Andraste. But there were still little pushes. Samantha smiled and gave a small laugh, she could just imagine Andraste face with a 415 pound predator on her rubbing into her.

Andrate listened with great care as her companion spoke. All this was so infinitely interesting to her. The intricate details about the physiology and the psychology of Kelvics. But the moment Samantha mentioned the 'masters' again, Adnraste's heart cracked just a little. It seemed so infinitely sad to her. She had a kind heart; and perhaps a part of her wanted so dearly to take the tigress under her wing and look after her, make sure that no one could ever hurt her, for people could be cruel indeed. Then again, she couldn't even look after her self, she'd be no good.

Realising she was treading on treturous ground, Andraste quickly banished that silly thought. Sometimes her lonely heart conjured up all sorts of nonsense. She had only hoped that her face did not betray her solemn thoughts.

"So Etherfal. You know they are very curious to me. Only met one that said to talk to them at night but I didn't stick around. Do you know anything as of know? You said that when in your human side you didn't know a lot? I don't remember exactly. What are the perks of being the mysterious 'night' race?" asked Samantha.

Not wanting to sound rude, Andraste replied immediately, abandoning her train of thought completely. "Well in my human form I can only remember things that happened to me in this life. For example this conversation we're having here. But when I'm in my astral form, I've been told, I talk about things that had happened so far in the past that I surely wouldn't know. And when someone confronts me about it, I have no clue what they're talking about." she explained as well as she could. Though she knew that this probably made very little sense.

Andraste was quick to reply. And Samantha was grateful for it, she didn't want the ice woman to be closed off. And Samantha found it fascinating that this woman was pretty much living two lives.

"The Etherfal sound much like the Kelvic. You live two lives but they are so different. While I know and can control my other form you have no power over it. It's fascinating to me. And now that I think about what I just said I'm sorry. I mean't no offence. It's just... I don't know, intriguing. How do you deal with living one life but knowing you have another?" Samantha was pretty much on the edge of her seat. She could feel the curiosity oozing out of her soul. But she also felt like she was walking very closely to shifting, her tiger already had the influence of the woman's skin but now she had her feline curiosity peeking up drastically.

Almost falling out of her chair Samantha moved back. Closing her eyes she quickly calmed herself. This was unlike her, very unlike her. And Samantha wasn't too sure if it was a good thing or if it was better to go back to being crude.

When the waitress came back with their food and drink Samantha was torn. Why couldn't she had gotten cooked beef? Samantha groaned, after they were done eating they were going to have to go out and walk. Her tiger was stirring at the seems and she really didn't want to freak out her new ice friend.

Andraste's eyes widened a little at the barrage of questions which came her way. And perhaps most would be annoyed by this, Andraste wasn't a secretive person. In fact she felt very flattered that Samantha took such interest in her. For a lonely soul like her self, this was a wonderful escape from the never-ending feeling of alienation, which this city brought upon her every day.

All right, she was going to take this one question at a time. But before she had a chance to start, their food arrived. And with the food arrived the wine. Though suddenly Andraste lost all interest in the rich flavour of the blood red liquid. As she pored her self a glass, it then stood abandoned on the table as the conversation unravelled further.

The Etherfal sound much like the Kelvic. You live two lives but they are so different.

"Yes that is true." agreed Andraste. "I guess you and I are very much alike in those aspects. And I am sure we're both misunderstood equally whilst in our true forms."

How do you deal with living one life but knowing you have another?

"I guess I don't deal with it at all." she continued with a grin on her face, showing all her pearly white teeth. She began cutting into her steak. "It's one of those things that I just choose not to think about, coss when I do I end up drinking till it gets dark. To be completely honest with you, I don't quite know how to deal with it so most of the time I just live in the moment. Tell me Samantha, how do you cope?

She had noticed the sudden burst of energy from her companion. Agitation perhaps? But it didn't seem negative. Instead, Samantha seemed like she was overly interested in her, a nice feeling indeed.

Andraste agreed with Samantha and it took her a little by surprise. She thought that the ice woman would surely take offence. But seeing as she didn't Samantha felt happy.

"I guess I don't deal with it at all." Andraste continued with a grin on her face, showing all her pearly white teeth. She began cutting into her steak. "It's one of those things that I just choose not to think about, coss when I do I end up drinking till it gets dark. To be completely honest with you, I don't quite know how to deal with it so most of the time I just live in the moment. Tell me Samantha, how do you cope?"

Samantha was taken back for a second. No one had ever asked her that nor had she thought about it. How did she cope with living one life but know she had another?," Well, I guess I deal with it... How do I put this? Well I find my tiger my main life. I have spend most of my life in that form and it runs how I act. My human form is the one that I guess I have to question how I deal with living it while I am more an animal. Not by addictions do I deal with it, but I think more like this is the form in which I can communicate." Samantha felt troubled. She was trying to answer the question as best as she could, and she knew she wasn't doing a good job.

Sighing Samantha watched her companiion for a second, "You know you're drinking that wrong." Samantha nodded to the glass of wine in Andraste hand, "Your supposed to drink it like this." Samantha pored her less than half a glass, twirling the drink in her glass a little she then brought it to her lips and took a small sip while smelling wine. Slowly letting it drift from her mouth to her throat. Samantha smiled, "Wine is to be savored. It's a delicate alcohol that you have to treat like the last sip of water."

Samantha cut a small piece of her pretty much raw steak and moved to her mouth, "You know, I guess you could say that my tiger form deals with the human side by thinking it as it's cub. It protects it, feeds it, and all of the other things a mother would do for it's cub. That's the best I can give you, I've never really thought about it and don't have a really clear answer." Samantha fed herself the piece before going for the next.

Andraste nodded as the woman spoke. Her head was processing information, surprised at how easily she could relate to it. After all they really were very similar. And though the two of them didn’t quite look at life as the same canvas, she could easily comprehend this explanation.

And for a moment, just for a moment the Samantha had stopped her train of thought. “You know you’re drinking it wrong.” she said. "You’re supposed to drink it like this." and then performed an almost ritualistic ‘right’ way of drinking wine. This made Andraste smile immensely. With a soft chuckle she mimicked Samantha’s actions almost perfectly; and upon doing so she realised that she really did not like the taste of wine. It was easier to just pore it quickly down her throat.

You know, I guess you could say that my tiger form deals with the human side by thinking it as its cub. It protects it, feeds it, and all of the other things a mother would do for its cub. That's the best I can give you, I've never really thought about it and don't have a really clear answer." she then continued before enjoying her meal.

Andraste also decided to dig in, before the food went cold. After all cold cooked beef was one of the things in life she detested with passion. “I think I know what you mean.” she then replied simply.

When Samantha had spared a glance at Andraste she noticed the woman was looking at her wine with a new disgust. It entertained and made Samantha feel satisfaction. If she could get the woman to stay away from alcohol then maybe she could get Andraste to explore the world. Living in this city was exciting yes, but it had it's dreary times. Besides, taking care of a human body was tufter than it seemed and drowning it in alcohol all the time was surely not a good thing.“I think I know what you mean.” she then replied simply.

Samantha just nodded and continued to eat. While they ate a comfortable silence came over them. And Samantha was grateful for it. It was calming her tiger. This woman effected her more than Samantha was willing to share. Maybe seeings Andraste as a cold woman wasn't the best describer. Samantha brought up her wine when she thought of something, "Wait, so if you're a Ethaefal that means you have more than one life. Like past lives... is that like religion based or is that like, you could be a non religion based human and come back for another life? And also how do you know how many lives you've had before? Wait, how does one become as Ethaefal in the first place? Are you born?" Samantha felt guilty for the barrage of questions and her skin flushed to help show it.

"Sorry, it's just I've never taken the chance to talk to your kind. If it offends you or makes you upset by all means tell me. And I wouldn't mind if you asked more questions." Samantha rushed a drink of wine and almost choked on it not knowing she was even drinking it. Gazing her composure she continued to eat while keeping an eye on Andraste.

"Wait, so if you're a Ethaefal that means you have more than one life. Like past lives... is that like religion based or is that like, you could be a non religion based human and come back for another life? And also how do you know how many lives you've had before? Wait, how does one become as Ethaefal in the first place? Are you born?"

Andraste's head spoon a little from all the question, but the smile upon her face grew ever larger. She had to stop and think for just a moment to make sure she did not overlook any of the tigress's questions. "Well I wasn't born. It must sound very strange, coming to think of it, but I fell out of the sky into the Suvan Sea. I have no idea how many lives I had before, for I don't really remember any of them in my human form. As I said, for these kind of questions you must speak to me at night." she smiled, hoping to dearly that this answer wasn't as vague as it sounded in her own ears. But she had no idea how to provide a better answer.

Shifting in her chair for a moment, Andraste noticed she hasn't eaten very much of her food yet. Most of her time has been occupied by talking. In fact she hoped desperately that what she was saying wasn't too dreary and boring. "There are those of us who have no love for the gods." she added. "Those who resent the gods for this state. I have never met any, but I've heard stories. Their hearts are filled with hate. 'Tis a pitiful existence, to have fallen from grace like that. So as you can see, I prefer to remain on the good side of the gods for without that I don't think I could be reborn. Then again, only the gods truly know."

Samantha watched Andraste shift in her chair before continuing to answer Samantha's balk of questions. Religion, Samantha had no use of it and it seemed too wide of spread for people to even believe in them, "I think some Kelvic take up a religion if their masters have one. But I personally don't see the use of it. One person believes one thing, another person believes another and so on. I originally am an animal. We have no use for gods. We live our lives to survive, there really is no times to luxury's. My human form I just have to take care of, so it hold my feeling for religion same as I. If there is a god or gods then I think it is a good idea to stay on their good side but my feelings are drawn purely out of animal instinct."

A scrape sounded and Samantha flinched. Looking down she realized there was nothing left to eat. Setting down her fork and knife she picked up her wine glass and took a sip. She was full and wanted to study Andraste more. This small woman interested her and pulled Samantha to a area that was strange to her. It felt warm and friendly and Samantha was tired of fighting against it. So she relished in it, if things could continue like this Samantha felt she would either be keeping Andraste around or being a companion to her. It's been a while since she had good company.

Samantha realized a silence had over took Andraste. Really focusing on Andraste Samantha noted that Andraste ate like a bird. Small slow bites. It made Samantha chuckle.

OOC: I hope you don't mind me saying she ate like a bird. If you don't like it and feel it doesn't fit Andraste I can change it. But I just picked up Andraste was that kind of person (I eat like that at time soooooo)

OOC- totally fits! Don't worry :)

There was a sense of warmth and friendliness in the way the two spoke. And a delightful conversation it was too. In fact, Andraste haven't quite had the pleasure in revelling in such pleasant conversation for a long time. This made her re-evaluate her position in life. She was alone, completely alone in a city of illusions and mischief. A petite woman who's very mind was diseased, at the mercy of cruel fate. Seems like there was little joy in her life until this very day. They day when she met a tigress in the skin of a beautiful woman.

Pecing at her food innocently, she finally replied. "It must be incredible to keep a mind so clear and set on what you wish it to be set on."

There was no use in converting the tigress. Andraste had given up on those religion custom long ago. After all, every religion has it's fair share of darkness and indoctrination. What the use in swaying someone from their chosen path, who walk along this uncertainty? Seemed like Samantha already had her own religion and that was being honest to one self.
