The Fall Hunt is upon us, and this years is going to be more challenging than all others in the past. More importantly, it's absolutely vital to surviving next season.
Previously known locations for collecting food have vanished or been warped by the storms. Once succulent fruits now drip with dangerous venom, and locations which animals gathered for water and food are now deadly areas where no sane person would dare venture. To make things worse, nearly the entire population is affected by a pox, which is rapidly taking a toll on their numbers. All in all, things are not good.
That means this: The Fall Hunt is more than a competition. It's a fight for survival and a continuation of the way of life for the Drykas. Food is life. Water is existence. Finding locations where these existed was not only important for this season, but all future seasons as the moving city makes its trek along The Way.
With all the dangers and vast importance of this event, it is still a great challenge for those wishing to under take it. The honor and rewards which come with victory in this great competition give everyone a respite from the trials and troubles which have plaugued the city ever since the start of Spring. Many will attempt to claim the title, but many will fail. Some will fall victim to the dangerous Sea of Grass. There will be a victor, and that victor will be showered with praise and prizes for their efforts. The hunting team that wins in the Great Beast hunt finds themselves awarded with clothing, weapons, decorative jewelry and supplies all crafted or otherwise made from the hides and other parts of the great beasts. To wear the hide or decorate one self with the spoils of a hunt is a great honor amongst Drykas and solidifies one's reputation amongst their community.
So here we have it. The rules are simple. The team or (insane) individual who brings back a combination of the most and highest quality food wins. How do you go about participating in this contest, it's simple. Register here. You don't have to have a hunting team initially, but as people post their intents here, feel free to use this thread or PMs to coordinate your own group for taking on this great task.
Rules:
The competition begins on the 50th and all submissions for the contest must arrive by the 88th. No late submissions will be considered for victory in the competition.
When it comes to beasts, they must have died by your teams weapons. That means no stealing from other hunters, and no picking up carrion found on the plains.
The no stealing applies to berries and other locations discovered throughout the region.
No combat between hunting teams. You are all out there working for the good of Endrykas. If you work together with another team to take down a vicious beasty, figure out how to split it up fairly.

A few last notes:
All hunt related threads require a couple things things. One, post it in this thread if you're participating in the hunt, and mention what you're hunting or foraging in that thread.
Second, mark all Fall Hunt threads with [Hunt] at the start of the name. Example:
[Hunt] Searching for Food
[Hunt] Taming the Beast
So on and so forth. I'll be paying a lot of attention to these threads, so make sure you don't get in over your head. Expect me to be active in monitoring these threads and throwing in inserts and interventions to make it more challenging. If you go after the giant three headed glassbeak of doom and don't have a party with you, or everyone has minimal weapon skill, well, lets just say it's not going to go well for you.
