It Lives!

5th of Fall, 512 AV Morning Thomas stared hopelessly at the collection of trinkets and gadgets before him -- not entirely sure what he'd hoped to achieve today. He was lucky he had found one of the basic labs empty -- even luckier that the young animator was able to find an assortment of odd gadgets and tools. Today, Thomas planned his first Sahovan creation. Of course, he had originally planned for something more elaborate -- he knew it was well within his ability as an animator to create a fully functioning automaton, but unfortunately, not being dead had it's downfalls. At least in Sahova. The Synchrograph Office had refused his request for a simple automaton, and Thomas was convinced it was because he was still breathing -- and had no plans of changing that anytime soon, despite Sahova best atttempts to do otherwise. The young man had soon discovered the undead isle, really, wasn't a place for someone alive. It was almost like they didn't want him here. Glancing back at his 'collection', Thomas frowned. He was no gadgeteer nor was it something he aspired to be. He was an animator. Sure, his previous teachers and masters had urged him to take up the - mundane - practice, but Thomas had always managed to find a way around it. There had always been another option, a different route to take. In Sahova, at least until Thomas became well known enough to warrant the Nuits' respect, there seemed to be only one. Thomas sighed, picking up a hammer. "Well," he murmured, eyeing the mass of odd parts, "No better time then the present."
