General Information

ImagePhysical

Fraint is a human. He was born during the Season of Fall, on Day 42, 494 AV. As such, this means he is eighteen. He is a male. He is fluent in only Common.

Fraint's appearance has always been that of a messy type, due to his lack of care for his outward appearance (or so he says). Fraint possesses short, cropped up hair that's often tangled and disheveled in handsome disarray. He displays intelligent blue eyes that see the world from many different perspectives, and his facial expression is that of a lonely gentleman -- it's usually a sheepish, tight-lipped smile that, if one looked close enough, would appear strained and forced. However, the occasional genuine, quiet smile is not far off the horizon -- it just needs a little more work. He has growing stubble along his chin and neck that makes him appear haggard and unkempt, and a fairly tanned complexion from his child days of playing outside. He's obviously muscular, though somewhat lean. He stands at about five feet nine inches, and weighs at around 160 lbs.

ImageCharacter Concept

If you wanted to use one word to describe Fraint, the word usually winds up being quiet. He’s gentle and soft-spoken, or mostly is. There are exceptions to every rule, and Fraint is not an exception to this rule. Just because he is quiet, doesn’t mean that he cannot have his voice heard. In any case, he can seem very opinionated – it’s just that he won’t forget to be exceptionally formal and polite about it.

However, behind this well-crafted façade, there lurks a darker character. Though he’s not your typical manipulative freak, he most certainly has a more selfish side to him. As such, he cares a lot about one’s reputation and exterior appearance. Therefore, his generally magnanimous disposition has actually been, not a ruse, but just shining more brightly, as he greatly struggles to shove his bad traits under an ornamental rug. He is not very trusting, and is naturally cynical. He can, and will, interpret extreme kindness as extreme irony and generally dismiss it, as nobody can be so nice. One cannot forget one’s impulses and desires. He’s extremely stubborn, although one might also describe him as admirably persistent. Both apply to Fraint – it just depends on how you look at him.

His gentlemanly exterior is really just a mask for the critical and extremely judgmental side he has to him deep down. Though he works hard to sew his positive traits over his negative traits, under the right circumstances, he’s been known to crack and his narrow-minded side becomes evident.

However, there’s no denying that he has an intelligent side to him. Uncannily observant and conventionally level-headed, when it comes to a logical solution, you can count on Fraint to balance the possible outcomes… sometimes. He’s extremely eager about learning, and isn’t afraid to show it through his admittedly haughty and dignified demeanor and way of speech. He’s been known to become particularly animated when one talks about his personal interests. He’s been known to have no filters, and will usually speak his mind, be it good or bad. He’s also extremely curious, and when there’s something he doesn’t know, he will most certainly make an effort to find out.

He has an opinion. He wants a say. Just because he’s quiet, doesn’t mean you’re not going to hear it.

Morals

Deep down, Fraint knows what's right and what's wrong. However, his selfish sides can cloud his judgment, and it’s not beyond him to twist his morals so that it’s convenient to him. When it really comes down to it, though, and when somebody really needs it, he knows that it’s his job as a human being to do what's right.

Likes

When one talks to him, one can immediately identify his passion for learning, more specifically about the goddess Zintila and the stars. He finds her story extremely saddening, and for better or for worse, he’d like to see her sit on her rightful throne up there in the sky, or at least contribute to her journey there. His grandfather is a great storyteller. Before he passed away, he’d tell him about the dreaded Valterrian, and how it nearly ruined Mizahar. He was especially keen on the stories of the beloved deities, and their sacrifices. Even though he’s not as noble as one might think, Zintila’s selflessness touched his heart, whether he was aware of it or not. It was also Zintila who introduced him to the world of astrology. The stars are so far out there, and they’re so mysterious. He’s also interested in the city of Lhavit, and dreams to settle down there (this dream will be discovered sooner than he thinks).

Certainly there are mysteries just waiting for him to unravel!

Dislikes

He does have his fair share of dislikes. If he were a Lhavit lover, then he’d most certainly not be fond of Symenestra. In fact, his hate for them causes him to think that they're all evil. He does not like the frustration of not knowing, and this could cause him to be extremely determined to find something out, just for the sake of filling his insatiable curiosity. He’s also not fond of the sun, for some reason. Maybe it’s because it blots out the stars. Oh yes, and he really doesn't like mathematics.

(PRE) History

Fraint was originally born in Syliras. As one could tell, it is most certainly far away from Lhavit, where he resides now. However, it was love for the culture and an almost annoying, yet still somewhat inspiring determination that got him there.

He grew up in a family of four, including Fraint, his mother and father, and his grandfather, whom he adored dearly for his formidable storytelling skills. He grew up sheltered and loved, and thoroughly educated. It was here where Fraint discovered his passionate hate for mathematics, but his love for everything else that involved learning, especially reading about various types of lore.

It was when Fraint was just a child when he first learned about all-mighty deities, more specifically – Zintila. As such, he’d ask about this goddess, although when he inquired about her to his parents, he was directed to his grandfather. It was there where he learned about the noble fall she took, and how she resided in a wondrous, fairy tale city known as Lhavit.

He grew up surrounded by books, but he never really stopped dreaming about that city. He wanted to go there. His parents were both willing to allow him to go there, as soon as he turned eighteen. They were always on the side of pursuit to knowledge, and even before he died, his grandfather had saved an abundance of Mizas and Kinas. It was like his life.

… One long trip and a bunch of Endal friends later, he arrived at the gates of Lhavit.

(POST) History

He arrived in Lhavit during the Season of Winter, Day 24, 512 AV.

Housing

Upon entering Lhavit, Fraint quickly rented a room in the Solar Wind Apartments. He currently resides in a simple room for 5 kinas per season.

Located on the outskirts of the Surya Plaza on Zintia Peak, the Solar Wind Apartments (or simply Solar Wind or SWA) was built to accommodate the growing population after the influx of visitors gone permanent residents. It has grown since the first days it was built, nearly a century ago, and most of it's residents enjoy the close proximity to the plaza. Each room contains furniture based on the luxuriousness of the rooms residents lease, going from average up to a suite similar to that of the Shooting Star Inn. The usual furnishings include a low-elevated Lhavitian-style bed, a wooden desk, a soft, rounded chair, a hearth, armoire and couch. Various plants and pictures adorn the walls, but all residents have leeway to hang what they wish depending on their tastes.

In order to rent an apartment at the SWA, one simply has to go to the Cosmos Center and inquire there.
