(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Orion, 3rd of Winter, 512 AV

The Soothing Waters was it's usual busy self. People coming and going from baths, both private and public, feeling refreshed, invigorated, and clean of the filth that grew on them in the cramped, enclosed city. Days and seasons of stress were relieved by well trained masseuses uses various scented oils to both lubricate and relieve tension on the muscle, but also made use of the relaxing aromas to calm their patrons and leave them satisfied, in more ways than one, if that was their fancy. The popularity of this business wasn't unexpected. Unless you desired a drink or to gamble away some coin, there were few places in the city to really lose oneself.

Today, Orion was working in the medical area of the bahthouse. An always interesting concept, having what was effectively the clinic for Syliras sitting tucked in the cleanest dirty place in the city. There hadn't been any serious injuries in the last several days, and that meant boredom for Orion. His skill in patching people up had gotten high enough that he wasn't called on for more routine cases. This of course led to him wandering over to the massage area more often than not, but not today. At least not yet. It wasn't quite time for him to get into trouble. That could wait.

Sitting in a chair, back to the wall, Orion sat, half awake, fighting off the temptation to succumb to boredom and take a little nap. Between the assistants and the marked healers, it felt like there was little use for a skilled doctor. Gods this city is boring..

There was little to be done. For now all he could do was sit and hope that someone got hurt. How morbid was that? It wasn't the first time he'd had the thought though, and if no one showed up to relieve his boredom, he would soon have it again, or worse.

Kyra stepped into the building, glancing back to see if her companion was still with her. The kelvic had only been to the Soothing Waters once before which is how she had met the person she had come to see. Or rather lead Kirvan to. The place hadn't changed in style, and there were just as many people there as it had been when she first arrived. Pouty lips puckered sadly, soft glowing embers glancing about the room as she took it the scene before her. The place was very popular it seemed and arriving last meant that she would have to wait the longest.

Of course the last time she was lucky, and out of kindness the good doctor took her in ahead of the rest. An act that later got him into trouble with another customer. Kyra doubted that he would go to such lengths again, but it wasn't a bad idea to at least see if he was there. She moved across the floor and headed to the help desk. The man behind the desk remembered her instantly from her last visit, and couldn't hold back his grin.

"Hello again. Back for another massage?" he asked, silently wondering if she caught the underline meaning, and the way he cocked his brow.

"I am here to see Orion.. Is he here?" she asked simply and wondering why the man was rubbing his hands together. "Is..there something wrong with your hands?" Kyra stared at him curiously and causing the man to feel embarrassed or just silly. He placed his hands back onto the table and resumed his cheerful smile.

"He is here yes, but Orion is a doctor, he's not a masseuse really. But you can find him down this hall and in the medical area."

Kyra nodded and after motioning to Kirvan, the girl headed down the hall to find him. She had never been in the area before, and while most of the place looked the same from wall to wall, she didn't remember seeing it the last time. It didn't take her long to find him, not when compared to the amount of time it took her to find the actual place again. He was there, inside the medical lab, and it looked as if he was asleep. "Hello again Orion."

Soothing Waters

Kirvan followed his guide dutifully into the Soothing Waters, his previous suspicions largely forgotten for now as he thought toward seeing Orion again. They hadn't actually talked much about their personal lives last time, as the pressing urgency of a badly injured woman made them all business-like. Which Kirvan still had yet to pay the doctor for when he thought of it. He had a few mizas in his pocket, though probably not enough to pay the man in full for all the work he'd done. Perhaps if he kept quiet, Orion wouldn't remember long enough for Kirvan to fetch his payment in full.

When they entered the establishment proper, the svefra noticed some interaction between Alessa and the man behind the counter. Obviously she had been here before, and the greeter recognized her. Kirvan would too, a woman like Alessa with her unique irises and her physical attractiveness was hard to forget. He remembered last time the good doctor had hinted at some similar reason for rescuing the patient, and wondered if Orion had given Alessa a massage for similar reasons. He could soon find out, though Kirvan grinned as he realized that the doctor might not like being asked openly.

While Alessa talked with the man behind the counter, Kirvan hung back a bit to wait for direction. Even this far into the city, the svefra had a mixed reputation among the citizens. So he waited for Alessa to gesture and walk down one of the halls, quickly putting himself in motion and drawing up behind her. They found Orion on the verge of dozing off in the middle of a medical area, and as Alessa called her greeting the svefra couldn't help but chuckle. "Busy as ever I see," he joked. "Perhaps you shouod come down to the docks again and help me move some boxes, get that strength of yours up to par."

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Postby Orion Michaels on February 2nd, 2013, 5:29 am

Orion

Needless to say, Orion was quite surprised as he was greeted by not one, but two people he'd never expected to see again. First was Kyra. That little vixen held a special place in Orion's heart. She had, in one magnificent half bell, skyrocketed his popularity, his reputation, and his notoriety. The looks the doctor received from the women who were waiting that day, well, sultry and lustful hadn't even begun to describe it. And the moaning. The moaning that bordered on purring. It had, well, kept Orion company in his dreams on more than one occasion. Never did he think the blond haired beauty would grace his presence once more.

..Kirvan was his name? This man had found him when the Half-Zith woman was injured. What a peculiar day that had been. Rushing to and from the soothing waters to deal with a woman's anatomy that Orion knew nothing about, and that was saying something. They'd carried her back to this very location, no thanks to that brown haired woman. Kirvan had been useful enough, able to follow the directions that needed followed and wasn't half bad at threatening stowaways on his boat, either.

Regardless of his history with both of them, Orion was more confused as to what brought them both here at the same time. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, the doctor stumbled forth from his chair, blurting out a jumbled greeting. "What're you two doing here?" Not exactly what a doctor would normally ask a patient, true, but it's what was said indeed.

"I mean...it's good to see you both, I just..didn't expect to see either of you again." He shook his head, taking a deep breath regain his composure. "Sorry. I don't normally sleep during the work day like this," he lied. Every day if he could. Nothing better to do most of the time. Any question as to their purpose for being here was quickly answered as the blue eyed man allowed his gaze to rest on them fully.

"Are..are you hurt?" His inquiry led to a sudden chance of focus, from a meeting of old acquaintances to one of business. There was work to be done, it seemed. "How'd it that happen?"

"You were sleeping?" Kyra asked curiously watching the doctor as he sluggishly removed himself from the chair and came towards them. The young kelvic smiled at the man's jumbled greeting and wondered just how long he had been sleeping there. "I did wonder if you would still be around, after the way you ..disappeared the last time." The good doctor wore many hats it seemed, and among them apparently was escape artist.

She turned to glance at Kirven then, her gaze lingering on the tall blonde for a moment before she turned back to face Orion. "I met Kirven coming into the city, and he said that he wanted to see you, so I brought him here." Bits and pieces of information had been lost in her retelling of the events, but the important parts she had right.

Kyra shook her head and stepped aside to allow Orion to examine Kirvan's arm. "I am not hurt, but Kirven got into a fight with a nasty bugger over a shield. Can you help him?"

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Kirvan regarded the doctor with amusement, watching as the man moved languidly to greet them. It was not at all the kind of man who jumped up and raced to the docks to help someone who he didn't know and hadn't demanded pay from. The Orion that helped heal a stranger and carried her all the way back to the Soothing Waters seemed very energetic and dedicated to his job, not much like the man that was caught nearly dozing at his desk. Maybe he was one of those who lived for the job? Whatever the case, there was obviously more to the good doctor than Kirvan had first thought. Perhaps they'd have time to chat a bit.

"Honestly, neither was I," Kirvan admitted, shrugging. The Soothing Waters was in one of the castles furthest from the docks, so chances were slim that Kirvan would be able to find the place again. Sheer luck brought him to Alessa. "Was in the neighborhood though, so I thought may as well pay a visit. Alessa was kind enough to show me the way." He smiled his gratitude to the woman, noticing she left some things out. If she didn't want to bring it up, then he wouldn't either. Her reasons were her own after all, and he would respect that.

Not that he could hide the bleeding bite mark on his arm that he'd fogotten about until Orion mentioned injuries. For a moment he debated about whether to hide it or not so Alessa wouldn't have to go into detail about what they'd been doing, but he wouldn't be able to de it forever. Raising his arm, he showed the bite mark to the doctor, blood still trcickling from the opening. It wasn't serious, but it would attract some attention. "Just a simple bite wound," he said. "If you could just patch it up I'd be grateful." Maybe it wouod give the doctor something to focus on again, wake him up a bit more.

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Postby Orion Michaels on February 10th, 2013, 3:06 am

Orion

He looked with some amusement at Kyra as he motioned for Kirvan to come over to his examination table. Yes, he had escaped quite quickly last time they'd met. Really, the first time they'd met. "I would never sleep on the job, I swear." Lies. Always with the lies. "Well, it was better that then have that man beat me down, I think. Or get me fired. I just left him confused more than anything, right?"

He nodded as she spoke of an injury. Orion had noticed it quickly. The blood was usually a giveaway, after all. "We'll see what we can do." The doctor took some pause as Kirvan explained the story with a little more detail than Kyra had. There was one thing that bothered him. Who the petch is Alessa? Now wasn't the time to try and poke holes in the Svefra's story, however. The injury was quite real after all.

"We'll just need to clean this to make sure you don't get infected, we'll wrap you up, and send you on your way." Simple enough, though it was troublesome that it was a human bite and not some stray animal. Curiosity would get the better of him, as it did most of the time. "So I'll take the bait. What happened? Anything that I should check for additional injuries?" A little pure alcohol would get the job done in this case. "Is this shield touched by a god that a man would bite you over it?" Crazy world. This man seemed to attract trouble. Zith. Or half-Zith. And now biting? Quite an interesting fellow.

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Kyra sauntered passed the men and continued to look around the room. She often found herself looking over an area more than once when she first saw it to commit it to her memory. It appeared that the place had more rooms than she had thought, which also reminded her to ask for a tour later. But for the moment she stayed silent and left Orion and his friend to talk. She hadn't seem much of the fight, or knew why the man had bitten him, but it wasn't surprising. She had bitten people herself at times, even during fights so hearing of the man's attacks didn't surprise her.

Once she was finished she decided to leave. After all, she hadn't come there to stay only to bring Kirvan and slip away from her would-be captures if the merchant alerted the Knights to what she had done. She didn't say good bye, or anything else as she slipped past them and headed towards the exit. The gentlemen manning the front desk had a very surprised look on his face, as if he wasn't expecting her to be leaving so soon.

Once she reached the door, Kyra pushed it open then suddenly paused in the doorway. Just out in front of the doors that lead outside were the merchant that she had been running from and a Knight accompanying him. The young kelvic closed the door back with a pout..It seemed that she would have to stick around for a bit longer. Turning back around, she slowly made her way back down the hall and into the area where she had left the two men.

Again she didn't say a word to them, and instead slipped passed them and took the seat where Orion had been sitting just moments ago. Glancing down towards her feet, Kyra shuffled her legs about, using one foot to push off her boot, and to the other to free both of her feet. With an innocent smile, she crossed her legs and smiled up towards Orion and waited for him to notice.

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Postby Kirvan Deepseeker on February 16th, 2013, 11:51 pm

Kirvan followed the good doctor's beckons to the examination table, but leant on it rather than taking a seat. He was a Svefra man, wasn't he? To shyke with medical examination and whatnot, it was just a bite wound anyway. Not like he'd received a sword through the gullet, which he actually had one time and had to be treated in a place much less clinical than this. "Cleaning up sounds good," the Svefra agreed. "Just make sure you use the good stuff, would hate for something as small as this turn into something serious. Don't worry about me whinging, I've had worse." Waiting for Orion to administer whatever treatment he had in mind, Kirvan looked over at the woman that guided him here.

Only to see Alessa breeze right past them and head for the exit, not even pausing to say farewell. She seemed to be a different woman almost to the one who invited him to come along down by the docks and who held a bright-eyed conversation with him about fashion of all things. Not that Kirvan really minded, it was more of a cuirosity than anything. "Wonder where she's headed," Kirvan thought aloud, sort of half-talking to Orion. "Are her exits usually so sudden and prompt?"

As the good doctor brought something over and began to look at the bite a bit more closely, he asked a bit more about the events that had transpired as well. Fair enough, Kirvan really had skimped on the details since Alessa seemed to want to avoid much attention. Now that she was gone je felt a bit more free to answer. "Nothing else you really need to watch out for I don't think, the vagik who bit me wasn't good at fighting, not with a shield anyway. Stole a knight's shield, the knight asked for some help and I happened to be nearby." Sort of. He didn't mention that he chased the thief for a while, that was an unnecessary detail. "As for the hite, I guess the other fellow was just a sore loser is all. Tried to take the shield from him and he just leaned over and bit me. Man's got a strong jaw if not a strong arm."

Then, just like that, Alessa returned and walked right by them again, not bothering to announce her return. It was curious, and now also a tad annoying, as if she couldn't be bothered. "Well hello again," Kirvan greeted. "Where did you pop off to?"  He wasn't expecting an answer really, just wanted to get the woman to say something or acknowledge that she knew the two. As she made herself comfortable, the Svefra cocked his head, curious as to what she was doing exactly.

(Soothing Waters) An Unexpected Reunion (Kirvan, Kyra)

Postby Orion Michaels on February 18th, 2013, 1:16 am

Orion

Orion, surprisingly, paid little attention to Kyra as she wandered throughout the room. There wasn't anything of particular interest in the room. Just various medical supplies which Orion could use in order to treat patients. She was free to roam as far as he was concerned. Kirvan's wound, now that was another thing. As she explored, Orion was busy laying out cloths and bandages, as well as grabbing the purifying alcohol with which he would disinfect the bite.

Orion shrugged when Kirvan began to ask about Kyra. "I've only ran into the little vixen once before. I was the one who left in a hurry that time, so I couldn't say. She seems pretty aloof at times, though. A friend of yours? I must say, it's different than a Zith." He prepared the liquid and looked up to Kirvan. "Sounds like you had quite a day of it, hmm? I trust the knight didn't compensate you. 'Thank you, citizen. For Sylir!'. A nasty thing, a human bite. More dangerous than an animal's, some would say."

Kyra wondered back in, and Orion nodded in greeting. A smirk spread across his lips as he watched her from the corner of his eyes. If there was one thing that Orion had learned to recognize, it was when a woman wanted something. The way her eyes playfully went from him, down to her feet, that grin, her desire was apparent. It wasn't for him, though, but for his talent. "Wait your turn," he chided, raising his eyebrows in challenge. He couldn't stop doing his job as a doctor to give that tantalizing little blonde a massage, right?

Cloth in hand, cleansing liquid in the other, Orion continued. "This is gonna burn, but you'll thank me. Or not. My pockets are still a little empty from last time.." He grinned, pouring the burning alcohol directly onto the bite. Perhaps there was a little sadistic pleasure in it. Perhaps not.
