The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

The Shinya Rest

Nestled high up in the Misty Peaks, the Shinya Rest is a monastic building, overlooking a waterfall which cascades down the side of the mountain, joining the Amaranthine River far below. Several hours walk from the Shinyama Peak, the Shinya Rest provides sanctuary and rest for any Shinya out on patrol in the lush and strange forests throughout the peaks.

While by no means as grand as the Shinyama Pavilion in Lhavit proper, the Shinya Rest is by far a much more peaceful and modest dwelling. The building itself has three levels, each a little smaller than the one below, and each surrounded by a balcony which runs around the entirety of the floor. Made from simple brown woods, the Shinya Rest has no trace of skyglass or adornment. The waterfall and the spectacular views that fall into the ravine below take center stage in this arena.

Any traveller through the Misty Peaks may enter the Shinya Rest, even if they are not a part of the order. They may gain sanctuary here for a night. The first floor, where one will enter, is a wide open space, not divided into rooms, not adorned with unnecessary furniture. It acts as a room with multiple functions: bedrolls are laid out here, and cushions placed on the floor where the morning and evening meals are taken. Outside of Lhavit, the bell system is not adhered to: one takes rest whenever they need it.

The floor above is much smaller, and unlike the sparseness of the ground floor, packed to the teeth with weapons and survival equipment. Those not of the Shinya are not able to access this part of the Shinya Rest. Here, any Shinya may take whatever weapons or survival tools they may need on their patrols throughout the Peaks, as long as they return them in good shape, or else reimburse the Shinya Rest with a replacement.

Finally, the top floor has barely enough space for more than five Shinya. Here there is a skyglass statue of Zintila, taking centre stage. Those seeking personal communion or meditation wherein they may reflect on their goddess may come to this room for peace. This room is only open to the Shinya.
