While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

It took some time to him to calm himself down but thanks to Eida it was easier then he would have thought it. The last time he felt this way was when he was kidnapped but it's been almost 4 years. He could say that it's a long time in a Kelvic life especially for a raven. It was just a feather what they found and nothing more. What treasures lie in that secret place? He knew that one way or another he have to do his best and remember every little detail about that place. This is the only way to find it. Before answering Eida's questions he said to her to head east now. He also gave that feather to the girl though he didn't understand why she needs it.

- It was from a very long time. I'm amazed that I could remember what happened then. One day before I could fly my mother told me a lot of things about the word and how she met with my father. This memory fragment was about our hiding place. You know not just me but my family also loved to collect different things. Mostly those which were bright but you can find many memento there. I have never had a chance to see the things there because they would have only showed me when I was fully grown. But before time I was forced to leave them and I forgot all about this. But now I think I remember where it was and we might find my past there and maybe my family too.

He was full of hope. Telling all of this to someone who was so important meant a lot to him. Now he just couldn't image what would he do if he were alone.

- I felt curiosity in that memory. I always wanted to know more and more so this was one of the things which were a goal to me: to discover it. You might wonder why this tree. Well the reason is that we used to live around here. Can I ask why did you want this feather?

He tilted his head while looking her expressions. This was another mystery for him but he knew that it's not that hard solve. Because of the happenings he was getting more like his old self. The time when he was just a small kid.

The Place with Black Feathers (Eida)

Postby Eida on February 18th, 2013, 6:34 pm

Eida was listening Arck's story while they were walking forward. It was sad and beautiful at the same time. She hoped he will find them someday. She took the feather with her. Eida tied up her hair and put the feather there. Maybe it was strange but she tried to be more close to Arck's animal form. And she kept there safe until they find other things.

-It's part of the life circle to try to live without parents at some point. Anyhow it can't be forced or the bye-bye will be missed and many pain will appear with it. There must be a chance that they are still living somewhere, Arckhebohn. Leth and Syna are guiding them. These traces will help maybe. But don't be even sad if we won't find them. The memories won't go away. And these mementos won't either. Finally you could find them. It can be big or little thing, much or only one, expensive or cheap, it or they will be your precious items. -

She said this with so much calm and she smiled. The wind came to wildlands. It wasn't wild, it was "gentle". Only small winds "tickled" their faces and their hair. Eida looked up at the moon. She had bigger smile now.

-You can say I'm silly or crazy, but I want this feather because it's precious to you. Through that I want to feel or understand your animal form. Yes I'm Daughter of Leth and I'm an Ethaefal and will never fully feel or understand kelvics or ravens or any animals fully, but with this soft, black feather. It has your memory, it contain your feelings to your mother, it shows your past journeys and will show your future journeys. I won't take it forever just for this night I liked to have it.

~ To understand me...? Does she really cares about me this much? ~ Who knows how long have they been travelling together but he was unsure about Eida's feelings. From time to time especially when the Sun was up he was thinking about why are they really together. Is there a reason for it? Or it is just coincidence? Arckhebohn could tell that Eida is always honest with him. He felt her kindness every time and even if he didn't meet many people she was the most perfect girl he has ever known.

After Eida's last words Arckehbohn didn't say anything for some time. He was busy in his mind and his memory. As he said it was like a wonder to remember something which happened so early in his life. What if that feather was no ordinary feather? He didn't know the source of it nor about much about this topic but he decided to think it through after they found what they were looking for. Before he knew it he realised that this place where they were was also familiar. He slowed down and then told Eida to wait a bit. He wanted to say something to her first before trying to find out that they are in the right place or not.

- Eida... - he closed his eyes and changed his mind about what he really wanted to say - You know what? You should keep that feather. So even if something happens and we will be separated, a part of me will never leave you. Whatever we find I'd like you to have it. Consider it a gift from me.

After he smiled at her to encourage himself and the girl as well he took some time to look around. If he remembers well there should be a place here nearby where his family treasures are hidden. Arckhebohn was good at finding things by observing them but this time his skill wasn't enough to see it. Once again he hoped that he might be able to find out something from the beautiful Ethaefal.

- And one more question: If you would like to hide something here where would you hide it?

...Separated. That word went through Eida's mind. She didn't want to think about that. She immediatly cought Arck's hand again. She turned her head to Arckhebohn and still smiled at him.

-Thank you, but it's your memory not mine. Don't worry we won't be separated. I'm sure. This feather means you a lot. I can't "steal" it. -

She explained and she still held his hand. And now she was thinking about his questions. Hide something. Eida was never in that situtation. She closed her eyes and focused. Where would she, where would she? She openned her eyes and she sighed. She had no idea. Maybe if she would look around. She let Kelvic's hand and she stepped further. She looked around. Left, right, left, right, forward. She just touched her head and shaked it.

-I don't know. Top of the tree, in the brushes... or rabbit's holes? So many possibilities in the nature you know that well. I can't awsner I've never had a situation like that. I'm not very much a treasure hunter. Not like I would be, I would fail lot. Hmm yeah my best catch would be only a coin or two. If I'm lucky maybe three coins. And now why am I talking about that?

She turned back at Arckhebohn and she laughed in her embarrassment. She could sometimes say things that shouldn't be at the topic.

Treasure hunter. When she said this he had a good idea. When somebody hid something from others he had to make sure that only he will know where it is. But it had to be difficult like a puzzle so that way other animals or people won't find it easily.

- If you think that then so be it. We'll have this feather with us anyway. - Then he took a little break and continued. - Have I ever said to you that you are brilliant?

He smiled mysteriously because now he might have a clue how to find it. You can't just hide something without giving a part of yourself when you do it. The people who hid it was his family but it wasn't an ordinary one because his father was a Kelvic too. A raven to be precise. He had to think as his father did. He taught him about hunting and how to survive which helped him so far. But to solve this mystery he had to look at it in another view: from the view of a raven. The moment he realised it he changed his shape then flew high up to the sky. He could see Eida from there and he was sure that the girl was watching him too. ~ First step is fine. With the eyes of a raven you could see what others can't. But what next? ~

He was thinking quite hard about many things. His family had to know that he will someday return to this place. And if it happens then they should have expected that he will find this place. So that tree where they found the feather could be important. He wasn't good at finding treasures but it was one of his goals to be one when he will grow up. Well his time has come. ~ Who hides a treasure usually leave a sign that place. ~ He didn't want to go far because he knew that this was the place what his father showed him back then. So he only took some rounds around Eida and then landed on some trees to make a closer look. The moment when he almost gave it up he noticed something. It was another black feather. It was half-buried so it's no wonder he didn't see it earlier. He didn't want to leave Eida alone he memorised the place then went back to her.

When he changed back his shape without saying anything he held her hand, smiled at her then dragged her throughout the trees. When they have arrived the place where the feather was buried he started to dig it out. It didn't take a lot of time until he found a medium chest. He lifted it out from the hole with excitement then took near them. There wasn't any lock on it so it was only one step away from opening it.

- Shall we see what's in it? - He smiled at Eida with a happiness he felt only a long time ago. His past and maybe his family's current space lie in it. But he will only see it will be open.

The Place with Black Feathers (Eida)

Postby Paragon on February 21st, 2013, 11:35 am

Just as he touched the chest, a chill whirred through his spine. It was familiar, and yet cold, leading his hand to recoil from the wood. There was a presence here, no mistaking it.

Something would lead both Arckhebohn and Eida to turn around, and when they span, they would be facing a figure that loomed over them. Off colour, and wreathed in mist, it watched them without malice, only curiosity.

If they looked even closer they would see this was a child. A boy, to be precise. His eyes landed on the chest, a strange sort of smile meeting his lips. Short hair was ruffled so that it stuck up, but his eyes were eerily hollow.

"What is that? What's in the chest?""

Who or what now assailed them? The voice was innocent, but was it? A curious child? A more malicious force? And still the chest sat, unopened, the legacy of Archkhebon's father.

The Place with Black Feathers (Eida)

Postby Eida on February 21st, 2013, 4:05 pm

Eida turned around with Arckhebohn and shocked for a moment when she suddenly saw the boy. She took a deep breath and looked at him. He was so young and he was so innocent but scary at the same time. His eyes showed nothing at all. It was empty. She didn't do anything only was staring at him. She worried about him what if he lost.

-Oh gosh you scared me a little. Hello my Dear! What's your name? Are you lost? Don't worry we won't harm you. -

When she asked so many things she saw something strange. While Leth's light was shined through the trees she could see more exactly that this boy had something like mist around him and off colour. He was more like a lost soul. But Eida didn't think about that. She was still worried about him. She went closer and crouched down for him. Eida was smiling at the child.

Arckhebohn couldn't even say a word first when he saw the boy. Thanks to Eida he also calmed down after a little a time but something didn't feel right with this boy. Eida might have thought that this boy was around somewhere but it wasn't right. When he was flying around here he could see quite far but there were nobody. And it was impossible that somebody could move this fast to get there. He was thinking that it's some kind of illusion which would explain the mists too. But he have never seen anything like this so he wasn't sure about it.

- Hey there boy.. – he said this with a quite low voice. Eida asked the same questions what he would have asked so the only thing what he could do now it wait. He was impatient especially because the boy's words. ~ What's in the chest...? ~ He repeated his words over and over again trying to figure out his intentions. ~ How does he know about it? Why is this boy here? And most importantly... Why does it feel so familiar..? ~

The Place with Black Feathers (Eida)

Postby Paragon on March 6th, 2013, 12:17 am

OOCSo sorry for the delay guys!

The boy gazed at them both with curious eyes, flitting between the pair and the chest.

"That is your fathers. I can feel the.... bond." he spoke awkwardly, but with truth too. "My name is Sho. I miss my father. Have you seen him?"

He moved closer finally, raising his arms as if he were tired.

"But what's in the chest?" he asked, "your father must have loved you a lot to leave you a treasure chest behind."

Awe crept into his voice. But whatever rested inside Arck's father's chest, would Eida and the bird Kelvic rise to the task of helping this lost soul? His words spoke of a tragedy. Of what, the pair did not know.

Eida was blinking for a while. That boy was scary but sorrowful at the same time. She looked how the boy walked to near Archkebohn and looked curiously what's the chest held. And her father was here too? Eida didn't hesitate she asked the boy gently about her father.

-Hello Sho! I'm Eida, daughter and priestess of Leth, The God of Moon. So you are lost aren't you? Where did you see your father last time? Is he in the forest too? We will help you to find him. I'll be the light of your hope.

She said and she was still smiling at him. She stood up and walked to Arckh. She grabbed his arm and whispered to his ear.

- We need to help him. I know he looks scary a bit, and I have a strange feeling he is like a spirit but we have the chest now. We need to help him to find harmony.

She let Arckhebohn's arm. Eida looked at the boy and pitied him. And then something came to her mind. She tried to touched the boy. She was slow and careful not to scare him. She raised her arm and tried to touch his head. She didn't know what's gonna happen.
