Not completely true. Not completely false. What these two say is a game, or maybe not?

A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

”my father is hard to get to…we all wear a mask or two, but he has a whole room of them and you never really know which one of his faces you encounter…but he is a skilled man in what he does, and holds a tongue as sharp as blade” the girl said trailing off her speech to half a whisper as she looked up at the stone hard face of the snoop she refused to let go. His face still and emotionless like always. Eyes still empty and passive, maybe just showing the slightest bit of curiosity that she had already spotted in him a long time ago, but for a man that craved knowledge and power through it, it was something just as common as fish in this lake.

She was prepared for almost anything the man could throw at her, but when he pulled her closer it seemed like he had been swapped with someone else, a twin maybe. It was like she was caught off guard as her eyebrows unwillingly rose up, but then she remembered how he had attempted to act seductive not so long ago and from surprise her reaction turned to amusement, especially once he asked about her not her father. She didn’t want to believe he was interested in her, she was well aware it was her father he was after, was his question a trick of some sort? ”You just answered your own question Love, it’s just not common for someone like me…if it was my fathers will I’d spend every bell of every day improving myself at the institute” and it was true, too bad Amelia disobeyed him so much that she never really attended the institute despite her visits to Ravok, so she had no knowledge that she could actually ’improve’, just gain. Then again, Kelmar didn’t need to know that ”not to mention, my father thinks I drop in the eyes of his friends when doing what I do, but just between you and me, they are quite found of my practice and even the higher standing men of the sun wish to find out what the future holds for them” she chuckled with a playful wink, clearly not interested in serious chatter today.

”the day is young, just a walk would be wonderful…don’t you think? After all, the best days are born from those that don’t have a goal” Amelia stated as she pulled her palms up to Kelmar’s upper arms, slowly moving them up and down, gradually building up warmth until they found their way up to his shoulders ”but if you have better ideas in mind Love, I’m all ears” coming off her lips in a soft and almost innocent voice as she coyly tilted her head, this posture was so common for the woman, first she used it because her father had said it looks good on her. Now, it just became a habit.

True Illusions [Kelmar]

Postby Kelmar Hedos on March 11th, 2013, 8:06 am

"I have no doubt," Kelmar said in reply to her claim that her father was skilled at what he did. "Someone in his position cannot afford to be inept. As for his tongue, just as weapons come in many forms so too do armors. I've already donned mine, thanks to you." Looking down at the woman in his arms, a curious tone crept into his voice, though not to a very noticeable degree. "I'm not complaining, and believe me I am grateful for the assistance, but why lie to your father? You know him better than I do so if you have done so then there is no reason for concern, but I'm just curious as to why you've decided to help me." While the expression "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" came to mind, Amelia was not just some random gift horse. He would have to put up with her for a while, and any more information he could glean about her and her thoughts would ultimately be to his gain.

"I thought as much, though for some reason I can't imagine you dedicating yourself to learning the kind of things he'd want you to." His eyes searched hers for any sign of solidity in her claim of knowing high rankers in the Black Sun, but he was met with only an aloof smile and playful wink. So, she was through being serious for now. After observing her father's reaction to her fortune telling, Kelmar could hardly blame her. His thoughts began to wander back into memories of his own father, of the rigorous tutoring that he had to undergo in order to build on his supposed family legacy. In an instant, the operative let all thoughts drain from his mind, choosing to completely forget it all and focus on what was in front of him right now. That just so happened to be Amelia.

"I'm of a mind where the best days are those where you succeed a goal," Kelmar countered, "but for immediate purposes I will defer to your definition." As she rubbed his arms, a strange feeling accompanied the physical sensation, one he couldn't quite identify. It didn't so much travel through his nerves as grew in his mind, but he quashed it quickly before it could fester too much. Still, he made no move to leave the woman almost hanging off him, nor did he make a move to leave the spot he was currently occupying. "Problem with taking a walk though is that I'd have to turn away from you, and I'm enjoying this current position." The words just came out, but once they were said Kelmar decided that he liked them. Maybe he did have some of this so-called instinct.

Amelia wanted to laugh, but her face kept still. The man wanted to question her lying…Kelmar had little to no idea what kind of motives he was questioning, ones that were confusing to Amelia herself. ”Oh but Kelmar, I lied because I do know him better…honest people don’t interest him, there is no challenge in that…not to mention, who said I helped you?” Amelia proposed, as she let her eyes roll ever so slightly ”I have an interesting relationship with my father… I could eve state, that it was you who helped me, darling” She finished, turning her look away from him once more, but just for a little bit, before it returned with an ever so innocent smile.

”Oh really now?” the woman questioned as soon as Kelmar claimed, that he couldn’t see her studying the things her father would like. False, she actually enjoys it all quite a lot, she just doesn’t have the motivation for it all. ”You’d be surprised boy, after all, why do you think I chose to stay in this city? It is not the weather, trust me...” such a light hint about the possibilities of her studying there, but just that, no actual facts given. The snoop will just have to deal with the information she gives. And Amelia was one of those, who chose to keep the information given, to the minimum, unless she knew she'd gain something. However, he skills of keeping things behind her tongue were lesser than she thought.

”I’m quite enjoying myself as well, but this isn’t quite the place to show excessive… attraction, don’t you agree?” Amelia stated, pulling herself closer to Kelmar just the slightest bit, just to keep herself close to the man, but yet be decent about it. She was quite sure, Kelmar wanted to pretend and trick her into something, so she wasn’t paying much attention to his words, she would assume he is playing it unless she’d see something extremely unusual. ”After all, you are the local, I’m sure you could show me places here, where I have never been before…” this would sound like a joke, up until she brought her face closer to his and whispered ”In exchange, I could show you something to” did Amelia mean herself? Not quite, she wouldn’t disrespect her body this easily. The fortune teller assumed that Kelmar wouldn’t be interested anyway. Above all, she wasn't actually intending to keep the offer.

Her face tilted downwards, still holding the little innocent looking smile ”so what do you say…a walk together…or will it be just a lonely walk home?”
