Open Who Goes There?

[Lexa Maze]

Lexa resisted the urge to chuckle as the timid girl grew defensive. She pondered how best to answer the question, and eventually decided "I know my way around a fight," She chuckled "Believe me." Lexa started chomping on a banana, and then said "So you don't know where you are headed then?" Lexa said between bites "Where are you from, then?" She asked Lexa looked more closely at the girl "Are you human?" She asked, not completely sure. The way she acted, and her strange hair colour pointed to some sort of animal. Maybe she was one of those Kelvics? That would make sense. She was quite cute, and very small. You could almost put her in your pocket. The short sword she held didn't look as though it would do her much good, really. She couldn't imagine this girl attacking anyone.

((writer's note: I've been waiting for a comment on my character sheet because someone on the chat said there were some problems with it, so my backstory is still up in the air. Ah well, maybe I'll ask someone.))

"I'm, ah..." Confidence, Hallie thought to herself. Lexa had reacted surprisingly well to her blunder. But, she didn't know Lexa that well. Should she tell her about her origins? She decided no, not yet. "I'm a kelvic, yeah. But I'd rather not talk about it."
Hallie took one last bite of her fruit and discarded the scraps. She was already full.
"If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? I don't think you're human though, not with the way you fight." Wait. Did Lexa know she had been watching? Hallie couldn't remember if she had told or not. I said it, I'm not taking it back. Confidence.

ooc notewell you haven't followed the starting pack. It includes 100gold Mizas, a set of clothing(jacket, shoes, top,pants). Rations for a week. I think there was a comb or something? Anything else you want to buy (i.e. your short sword) must be bought with the starting 100 Miza. If you see my character sheet, my ledger say that I cashed in my house in Sylirus, which is why I have a lot more money than 100gm. Tyry looking through the starting guide more carefully and you'll be right Lexa was being to imposing wasn't she? Maybe she should stop with all these questions and try to make conversation in another way. The kelvic was timid. Lexa wasn't sure what creature she could be, but she didn't want to press her. Maybe she could befriend this creature? It would be nice to make another friend. Lexa raised her eyebrows when the girl commented on her fighting. Looks like she'd been right. Maybe the Kelvic had been that animal she'd seen darting off into the trees. Lexa brought her face back to a neutral expression and opened her mouth to speak "I think I was born in Nyka." She said "But our family travelled around so much I can't really be sure." She chuckled at that other comment "Nope. Human as they come. I like to learn about other races than myself though. So were you that red creature I saw disappearing into the trees then?"

Hallie started in surprise. "I am! But..." She fidgeted. "How did you know? I'm usually so good at hiding... I must be losing my touch."
Losing her touch. The thought frightened Hallie a bit. It had since dawned on her that the Wildlands were a much more dangerous place than she thought, especially for someone as weak as herself. And if she were losing her skills at hiding, Hallie didn't know what she would do.
Maybe I should go to Zeltiva after all.
"Ah, Lexa? I know this is a bit pushy of me, and we haven't known each other for very long, but could I come with you to Zeltiva? I'll just follow along behind, I won't even get in your way. I'll even help find food! Is... is that okay...?"

Lexa thought for a second and then said "It's probably more to do with me being paranoid. This is a dangerous place so I often get the feeling something, or someone is watching me. It's usually nothing though. Just this time it was you." Lexa realised she was talking a lot more than than she usually would, but she failed to see any sort of danger about this girl, and because of that, Lexa found herself able to relax. Hallie suddenly asked if they could travel together. Lexa thought for a moment, This girl probably needed a bit of reassurance that she would be okay out here, and it was always nice to have company. "You can come with me if you want." Lexa agreed "It's nice to have company, and I wouldn't want you getting it trouble out here." Lexa gave her a wink "I'm usually a complete loner you know. I guess I scare people" Her tone was friendly and casual.

"Yay!" Hallie exclaimed. She really was very happy. "Don't worry, you won't even know I'm there..."
She morphed into a squirrel, leaving a pile of clothes where she sat. To prove her point she scrambled up a nearby tree, leapt between its branches, and landed on her belly on top of her cushiony rucksack. She slipped into it, and with a final chirp to her new friend, immediately fell fast asleep.
