Spring 10th, 513AV

Samantha stood and stretched. As much as she loved her original form, she didn't like the kinks that came with sleeping in it. Samantha sighed and glanced at her supplies. Her water was fine as she had filled it up not all too long ago but her food supplies was going to run out in about two to three days.

Samantha shrugged and pulled the pack closer to herself. Sitting back down against the fallen log Samantha took out her water-skin and chugged a little water. Placing it back and wiping her face crudely and placing it back. Samantha rolled her shoulders and glanced around. She didn't want rations for this morning. What she wanted was raw meat.

Stuffing her falling clothing back into her back Samantha hid her pack in the hallow of the fallen log and stepped around it. Stretching once more Samantha quickly shifted. Landing on all fours Samantha began to walk deep into the surrounding forest. Glancing at the view of the mountains to come.

The Time Together Will Be Relentless. [ Licearsvansan ]

Postby Licearsvansan on March 8th, 2013, 8:35 am

The morning air stung the snake's cold blooded body as he walked a poorly beaten trail out into the wilderness surrounding Alvadas. When first he had taken off, Svan had encountered easily wandered through the gently rolling valley that the city was nestled in. Now however, the snake was crossing through the rough mountains that bordered the valley. The trail he walked was a new one that was likely made by travelers crossing earlier in the spring than him. Svan sank to the ground and let his hand brush over the trail. It was a rough path made of dirt, and formed by nothing more than the beatings of feet as travelers made their way out of the valley. This far from the city the trail was little more than a shadow on the ground, and dew covered bits of grass shot up through the brown dirt as nature worked to reclaim the land. The real problem wasn't that the trail was small though, the problem was that it was thinning.

Standing back up Svan climbed over a rock and surveyed the land ahead. The path he was now walking winded into a pass that split two ways. Unfortunately, Not only did the trail split at that point, but it disappeared all together. Apparently these roads where not well traveled. The snake hopped of the rock and continued down the path. As he approached the fork in the road, Svan pulled out his map and glanced over it. The dhani squinted as he tried to find some sort of clue of where to go with the map. Releasing a sigh of defeat, Svan looked down at the trails and noticed something he hadn't seen before. Large beastly paw prints marked the ground to his left. A brief memory of once seeing a rashkari violently tear into its meal was all Svan needed to make his decision to take the other route.

This was a decision that Svan soon came to regret as he realized that the path he now took was much steeper than the other. Straining under the weight of his luggage, Svan managed to call and pull his way up the rocky surface. After several long minutes of working his way up, Svan paused to catch his breath. While he was naturaly strong, he wasn't built for this kind of work. The snake streched his aching fingers and muttered to himself, "There just HAS to be an easier way." His eyes scanned over the course ahead and came to rest on a large rock above him that protruded out of the earth. "Hello there."

After fishing through his backpack Svan produced a length of rope. He adjusted the rope until he held both ends in his hands, and then with his strongest throw he shot the middle of the rope over the protruding rock. The rope lassoed its way around the boulder and Svan pulled it until it was taut. After a few test tugs to check how secure it was, Svan let a proud make its was over his face and jumped over the ledge. For a brief few moments he was sure that something would break and he would fall to his death bellow. Luckily, instead of breaking, the rope held and the dhani was able to sidle his way over and up the mountain with ease. After he did this two more times he began to wonder what was so difficult about rock climbing, and on the third time preforming this maneuver he received his answer.

The rock he had wrapped his rope around the third time was weaker than the previous two, and shortly after Svan attempted to climb the up the side of the mountain the rock broke. Immediately the snake began to flail in a vain attempt to grasp something to hold on to, but as his arms trace arcs through the air they met nothing but smooth surfaces. Svan tumbled backwards and began to roll uncontrollably down the sloped surface. He made a brief attempt to morph his hands to get a better grip, but his efforts were quickly stopped by the slamming of his head against the rough mountainous surface. Quietly, Svan slipped into unconsciousness with the expectation of never waking again.

Which of course left Svan incredibly relieved when he later woke to find him self not only alive, but largely uninjured. While he would never know, being knocked unconsciousness had saved his life. While in this state, his body was able to absorb the shock of the blows with ease when he had fallen down the moderate incline. Of course since Svan didn't know this, the only thought that passed through his mind was Shyke my head hurts. Petching mountain, petching rock, petching- is that blood? Am I bleeding?! Oh no, am I gonna die? I'm gonna die out in the middle of nowhere, and no one will remember poor ol... wait, whats my name?! Why can't I remember my name!!! The snake paced back and forth in a frenzied fashion until he finally remembered who he was. Once calm, he let out a exhausted sigh and clutched the back of his head to stop the bleeding.

After a few moment of breathing slowly, Svan's senses returned and he remembered what he was doing. He moved over to a low edge and climbed it. With his newly claimed vantage point he was able to see that he had gotten past a good deal of the mountainous area and before him stretched another valley filled with scattered forests and beyond that was the sea. He cast a look back and saw that there was a trail bellow him as well. This one was likely the same path that had the paw markings earlier. He wondered briefly if that path would have been easier than the one he had taken, but the thought was pushed away by the sound of his stomach growling. The dhani hopped down the ledge and walked down into the coastal valley. As he did so he notice the next array of mountains to his right which were taller and longer than the last. His stomach growled once more, and Svan decided that if he was going to make a plan to get through the mountain range it would be better if he had a full stomach. Never one to waste rations Svan decided that if there was some woodland to hunt in he might as well use it. With supplies strapped to his back, Svan moved down the earthy path into the valley

Samantha once again, for the fifth time, pounced at a Broad-toed Rabbit only for it to quickly pounce away. Landing on her feet Samantha quickly turned her large body and started pelting after the rabbit. Dodging tree's and other obstructions, Samantha had just jumped over a large log when she ran into a new obstacle.

Just as her feet landed she found herself almost running down a very steep path. Quickly catching herself Samantha sat two feet away and heavily breathed out. Samantha growled and surveyed the area. Dust settled maybe... 90 feet to her right.

She knew it was not in the best of idea's to be growling when other predators could possibly hear her and call up for a challenge but she was far from any point of caring. Samantha's angry blue-yellow eyes scanned her surroundings trying to find some sort of clue as to where her prey had gone.

Something red caught her eye and Samantha found her eyes following the trail. It was dark and appeared metallic. Sniffing the air Samantha let out a happy growl. Something was injured. And not too far ahead.

Samantha paused though. It was heading down. But the splatters were too large to be from a short animal. Samantha let out a low growl and trucked back up the path to her stuff.

Before too long Samantha found herself sitting back at the area with her pack in her mouth. Sitting down toying with the idea of food Samantha's mind was quickly made-up when her stomach began to growl.

Samantha stood, glanced behind her, glanced in front of her and took off. Letting her claws dig into the ground to ground her and keep her heavy body from loosing balance or grip and send her falling. When the smell of fresh blood hit her nose Samantha let out a loud hiss.

She was hungry and they were close.

The Time Together Will Be Relentless. [ Licearsvansan ]

Postby Licearsvansan on March 10th, 2013, 8:18 am

A flash of metal shot through the air to strike the ground, and a flurry of twigs and dirt was kicked up where the band of iron met the earth. Not far from the sword breakers striking point a squirrel could be seen skittering away in terror. Swears began to burst out from behind a bush not even three yards away as the figure of Svan rose up. Why did small animals have to be so hard to hit? The man stormed over to the blade lying on the group and returned it to its sheath. Brown eyes began to look over the surroundings. The trees in this part of Mizahar weren't like the ones he was used to. They were farther apart and thinner than Talderan trees, but they still gave enough cover to make finding any prey difficult to an untrained human.

Svan moved deeper into the wooded area and began to leave whatever semblence of a trail there was behind. The dhani glanced over the bushes he passed and let out a sigh. He was a carnivor before anything else but in the past few years he had been forced on more than one occasion to stomache the taste of berries and bark to sustain him. While he had food in his pack now, he did not look foreward to the idea of having to deal with all of the diatary problems that eating plants caused his stomache.

Freeing Svan from his worries was the strange call of a duck. It was strange because it didn't sound like a proper quack. After listening to the noise a couple times Svan decided that it was obviously the sound of a duck choking on a canary. His deduction however, was disproven as he approached the source of a sound. Instead of any species of bird, it was a small deer that was making the noise. It was a quarter deer, one of the easiest preys in the mountains. Larger than a squirrel, slower than rabbit, and tastier than jerky. Svan wondered how these critteres even managed to survive.

The brown haired man crouched low to the ground drew his dark cloak over his head bleeding head. He moved his darkened figure closer into the stadow of a large tree and began to creep towards the deer as carefully as he could.

Just a little- SNAP! the sound of a crushed twig cut through the silence in the air. Well petch me then.

The tree's were getting thinner as she continued slowly at the bottom of the valley. The blood had thinned out and made it hard for her to follow by sight so Samantha relied on smell. She didn't really have the best nose for doing so but the smell of the owner of the blood was getting stronger and it was starting to familiar out.

Samantha suddenly when she heard a twig snapping. Quickly lowering her body Samantha's eyes darted around trying to find the source. Her eye's passed over a frozen dark figure. She could make out dark hair and a thin body but other than that she was at a loss.

Samantha continued to let her eye's wonder trying to find why the 'human' was frozen and smiled when she found out why. Not too far from the human was a Quarter Deer. It was frozen and had it's eyes trained on the area where the human idiot was. Samantha dropped her pack out of her mouth and waited.

Samantha mentally let out a dark chuckle and readied herself for take off. Just as she was coming out of her hiding place in a full sprint the deer looked at her and took off. Samantha let out a growl of aggravation and sprinted after the deer. She only had to dodge a couple fallen logs before she pounced and gripped the deer's neck in her mouth.

Growling loudly as she ripped her head back and forth Samantha clenched down with all her might. Not until she heard the sound of snapping and the struggling deer go limp did she stop. Dropping the deer Samantha turned her head back to the other problem and snarled. Her mouth dripping blood, her ears laid back, and her eyes narrowed.

Samantha stalked to the other side of her food so she could eat but also keep the creature in sights. When a breeze carried their sent to her Samantha about chocked. She knew that sent. 'What the hell is he doing out here!'

The Time Together Will Be Relentless. [ Licearsvansan ]

The deer was now staring at him. Its muscles were tensed and ready to flee at a moments notice. Svan could practicly taste the fear in the air. The snake stood there half hoping the creature would forget him, but after a breif moment he realized that his cover was blown. With a flick of his arm Svan grabbed his sword from its sheathe and bolted at the deer. No sooner had he lept forward than the figure of a large beast shoot out in front of him. Svan's nearly got whiplash from the speed at which dropped his bags and shot off in the exact opposite direction of his expected prey. The snake scammbled up the nearest tree with a haste he didn't know he had and clung like a frightened chimp to a branch 9 feet off the ground. As the monster bellow tore into the weak flesh of the quarter deer, Svan closed his eyes and made quiet prayers to Caiyha to spare him from her creatures teeth in exchange for a promises to be a better servant.

The time the tiger spent killing the deer seemed like an eternity. The snarls of the tiger and the bloody squelches of the flesh in its maw seemed to echo out through the entire valley, and Svan's mind was chased back to the sight of a Rashkari tearing into its prey. He had seen enough predators killing prey to know that it was not the way he wanted to die. That kind of death was often slow bloody and painful. His face winced as he imagined watching some foul beast bite into his innards and drag them out as he lie bleeding slowly to death. The snake choke at the gruesome image. He could now completely taste fear. It tasted a bit like bile.

Finaly the gnashing sound of predatory teeth ended and Svan allowed himself to look down and see just what he was facing. It was a horrible idea. The creatures mouth was dripping with fresh blood and it had a predatory look on its face. Worse yet, it was staring directly at him. Svan's felt his heart leap into his throat, and eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. Svan hugged the tree limb with all his might, and begged for help, "Dear goddess, Caiyha if you keep this creature from killing me I swear on my grandmothers grave that I will become a vegetarian from this day forth. No more killing your little creatures for me. And I won't set fire to a twig ever again. Not even to start a campfire! And I promise-" A light went off in the dhani's skull. He looked back down towards the tiger and saw that it was nothing more than an ordinary tiger. "Wait, there aren't supposed to be normal tigers this far north." Slowly he began to notice the lightly burnt patches of fur and the familiar expressions on her face. "Samantha?!" Svan let go of the branch with his arms and hung upsidedown with by legs. The cape of his long black cloak nearly brushed the ground.

"I'm sorry about that little display, I mistook you for an actual threat."

Samantha tried with all her might not to laugh at the figure of Svan clutching a branch while hanging upside-down, eye's wide as saucers, skin as pale as a ghost, and him praying to Caiyha for help.

Samantha was able to hold it but let out a growl when his eyes snapped back to her with new light. Speaking his mind Samantha rolled her shoulders over his gaze and then returned to her meal. Entirely ignoring him as he called out her name.

But her head snapped back up, ripping off the meat she was working at, when he mentioned her not being a threat. An angry growl let loose as she swallowed the meat and then started rushing him.

'Petching snake. Can't keep his mouth shut. Maybe I'll keep him there until bigger problems come his way.' Samantha let out a hiss just before she reached the snake's body. Quickly darting with her claws out to attack his cloak and threw her body under his form. She didn't want to hit him. She wanted his cloak.

When her claws went through it Samantha threw all her body into rushing through it. 'Oops, that might leave a mark.'

The cloak around the snake's neck quickly tightened into a noose and his legs kicked open in fear of being hung by his own stupidity. The dhani collapsed onto the ground beside the tiger and made a series of gasping noises. His thin fingers shot to his neck and quickly worked to loosen the cloth that was threatning to sever his head. The moment the cloak realeased its death grip on his caratoid Svan let out a heavy sigh of relief that was cut short by a flurry of coughs.

He didn't move for a bit after that. The ordeal of having landed head first on his already damaged skull was causing his vision to blur. His eyes pinched close in pain at the oncoming headache. After a few seconds of motionlesness the dhani moved a tire hand into the air for the tiger to see. He said no words but instead made a rude gesture to the woman with a certain finger. Confident that she got the message, he let the arm fall back to the ground and let out a groan.

Cupping the back of his head, Svan turned to his side and began to lift himself up. He stopped at eye level and glared the tiger. With blood dripping down his forehead and an obviously ticked of expression on his face he spoke, "If you so much as mewl, I swear to Caiyha, I will have you spayed where you stand."

The weight of Svan kept her locked in the cloak until his presence was quickly lost and she could back herself out of the cloak. She turned and sat, facing the coughing snake. Her tail lay still as she watched.

When he gave her a rude gesture her tail flicked but quickly stilled. She continued to watch the snake with mild interest. As he got up she stayed where she was, maybe a foot or two away she didn't really know because her judging wasn't really the best, watching in a little more interest.

When she noticed the knew onslaught of blood on his face she sighed, as much as a tigress can, and then tried to ignore his comment. Samantha pinned him with a look that said, 'If you move, I will eat you. With no regrets.' And then walked to her pack carefully fixed it over her head, blood on leather was a pain to get rid of, and walked back to him.

Letting it drop behind him she nudged him a little. Guessing that he wouldn't get what she was talking about she moved beside him and laid down. Her eye's watched him hoping he got what she meant before she got up and walked to her kill. Ants were starting to find it so Samantha had to hurry to get it moved.

Grabbing hold of its neck the tigress pulled the meat back to the form of Svan and dropped it four feet away. Walking back to Svan she sat close enough to him that she could touch him and then watched. Deciding that the man was a pain and even worse when injured she sighed.

Samantha growled a warning before she went to work. Licking away the blood on his face. When she felt her work was complete Samantha went back to the cloak, now with a couple small tears, and dragged it behind a tree. She didn't really have modesty but her scars... she didn't really like the new ones. Quickly shifting Samantha rapped the cloak around her in the less revealing way and walked back to him.

"You said not to mewl."

The Time Together Will Be Relentless. [ Licearsvansan ]

Postby Licearsvansan on March 16th, 2013, 6:24 am

Oh dear gods shes tasting me! Don't believe anything those lying myrians tell you, snake meat doesn't taste half as good as they say! Svan clenched his teeth and scrunched his face as the sandpaper tounge rubbed over him. Svan only relaxed when the tigress stopped licking him and returned to her kill. He dove his head into his sleeve and wiped the left over drool and blood off. I have blood running down my face, so what does she do to get it off? She licks me with a blood soaked tounge! Now I smell like blood AND cat food.

Svan lifted his head towards the tigress and watched as she went behind the tree with his cloak. "Hey wait thats mine!" The dhani rose to his feet entirely and walked over to find Samantha emerge wrapped in his cloak. "On second thought, you can keep it...for now" Something about the idea of seeing her completely naked again was still unappealing to the snake. Though he wasn't too fond of her using HIS cloak to cover herself.

"You said not to mewl."

Svan turned away and folded his arms. She was obviously trying to be smart with him, but at the very least she hadn't roared in his face. Strangely enough, the tigress seemded to be trying to help him. Svan chuckled at the thought. His dark brown eyes flicked back to the woman and regarded her. "So what are you doing out here. Aside from causing heart attacks and headaches?"
