Combat Training in Syliras

I was hoping to get Jaquise's sword skill up a bit, so if there's anyone with a similar goal who wants to open a sparring thread send me a pm or post here. Any weapon or unarmed combatant is welcome.

By chance could the said person also have 0 skill in any combat training yet be looking?

Great Wystern, you think you might be able to teach Jaq a bit of dual wielding?

John, sparring with someone who has no combat skills is kinda easy for a competent. Jaq would definitely be willing to teach Katana for a price though if that's what you had in mind.

I’d be interested in doing a sparring thread, though I’m not sure whether a dagger and a katana could really mesh in a fight. Eris has 30 points in dagger combat and I’ve been meaning to do some training with her. Maybe we can work something out.

I'd be willing to play, though Sam's still a novice with his scimitar. Let me know if that's too easy or you wanna give it a try.

I would teach anybody anything my character knows, so long as he knows the person he teaches wouldn't disturb Syliras too much. Though he is only starter at dual wielding, and the only reason he is capable of wielding a wakizashi and a katana at the same time is because the former is a miniature image of the latter.

Eris, I would teach you how to wield a sword if you teach Wys how to wield a dagger better.

The Syliras Knights' training grounds would be an excellent place for the training.

Sure, Wys, I’m up for that. Of course, there would be the irony of an assassin training with a Sylirian knight, but I’m sure that could be fun to write.

Normally, Eris wouldn’t be caught dead at the Syliras Knight's training grounds, but if she had reason to believe that she wouldn’t be apprehended, she could make an exception. PM and we can work out how to get started.

Sounds good, though it might be better if Jaq doesn't learn your an assassin. He's got a dislike for them, thinking they give all swords for a hire a bad name and what not.

Samael, any chance for sparring would be great, though it might be a bit painful for one of us even if we manage to get our hands on some practice weapons.

Wystern, great. Jaq's not much of a trouble maker. If you have your guy check around, you might even learn that he was one of the serving mercenaries who protected the expedition to the gone field that brought back the famous old document.

Eris, Wys wouldn't kill a woman. If you won't go around saying that you kill people for money, nothing bad will arise. Unless you have a serious bounty on your head.
