K had awoke pretty early, eleventh bell to be exact, and he wasn't quite fond of it. He had already cleaned himself and did his morning exercises, but couldn't shake the feeling of it being too early. He had just slid on his armor after a quick experience of trial and error, and already began to compain as he asked, "If I may ask...Why is this crap so damn heavy?!" "Because K the order has a method of starting squires out with heavier armor then, once advancing to knighthood they promote a more lightweight maneuverable one." Kise informed.

"Well, I totally think it's stupid!" He said said as he smiled at his reflection in the mirror and then exited the dorm. As he exited the building he was instantly attacked by the vicious sun's rays. He raised his hand in retaliation trying to protect himself from the unrelenting bright beast. "Man I really don't have time for this..." K said as he continued to walk. "First day doing an official patrol and were late...Why?" Kise asked. "Shutup Kise, I overslept and you didn't even try to wake me up...I think you wanted me to late." K replied. "I was told to be there by the eleventh and a half bell, and I just get the feeling...I'm late." "Ya think?!" Kise said sarcastically.

"We are gonna have a talk later." K demanded. "Oh that's great because I had some interesting topics I wanted to tell you and--" Kise was interrupted. "Nevermind you just blew it..."K said as he finally approached the stables. He heard/smelt that he was in the right place immediately. The noob squires all walking around cluelessly looking for their patron, helmets to big for some of them, he chuckled. "Losers...They have no idea they will never reach my status." He put aside his personal thoughts as he walked into the stables hearing many conversations, but one, quickly caught his attention and proceeded to allure him. "Well I finally get my new squire today. I have heard a lot about him. A lot!" Kise walked in to see who the owner of that voice worthy of a knight was.

[Through out Syliras] The Early Bird Gets The Horse

Postby Kisetukai on March 19th, 2013, 1:13 am

As he came in he was greeted by a multitude of cheers. He walked up to the group with utmost prestige, even though he was just a simple squire. "Speak of Rhysol!" Said one knight as he walked towards K. "Are you by any means, Kisetukai?" The man asked. K tried to hold back his proud smile. "Yes, yes I am him." "Are you perhaps, my new patron?" K replied. "Yes." The man said with an elegant smile. "I am Ser Corben Raythe, third wing of blue company, fifth regiment." K instinctively bowed, for he knew to respect a knight, or at least anyone higher ranked than him. "Ah, no need for such formalities my boy." Ser Corben replied slapping K on his back.

After a long while of what seemed like an endless introduction party one man finally stood up. "Okay men, now that we are all familiar, it is time to move out!" Kise looked a little confused. "That's alot of excitement for just patrolling eh Kise?" K said with a chuckled. He got no reply. "Kise? Kise?! Your asleep?...Well whatever, I guess both of us shouldn't suffer through this crap." K stated. "The only time I don't wanna be in my body..." He mumbled. "Everyone mount up and move out. Remember to keep an eye on your squire!" The man shouted as he and his squire trotted out on horses. "Now this totally more like it!" K thought to himself. He quickly grabbed a saddle from a huge rack of pre made ones and jogged to his horse. "This armor is heavy as crap! But this will make up for it." K claimed as he began to mount his horse.

He was soon pulled back to earth by a stronger force and he couldn't lie it was frusterating. "Nope, you were late today. Only the squires who truly care can ride today." Ser Corben said in a fair and just voice. "So you won't be riding today, instead you will walk alongside my horse." He added. "I promise after today you won't be late." K looked at all the other knights and squires mounted up. He noticed that even the other squires were semi-elegant just being atop a horse. "Note...This is not an everyday thing but we do it every so often." Ser Corben added. "Ser Corben...Doth thee truly deem this my punishment?" K replied sadder than ever. "Yes" Ser Corben said firmly. "Now let us go. We have patrolling to do."

[Through out Syliras] The Early Bird Gets The Horse

Postby Kisetukai on March 19th, 2013, 1:32 am

The group made it to their first stop in relative speed, The Great Bazaar, around the 2nd bell. They were not shoppers, merely keepers of the peace. K was distracted by the beauty of the general area that he almost lost the group. He was swallowed into the mass of people instantly. He smelt the smell of poor commoners walk amongst him and was disgusted. He heard countless thieves try to take his money and was alarmed by the sharp tapping of the armor. "Finally, so that's what this crap is good for." K said happily. He was soon relieved as the crowd had spit him out, and made way for the group. He was confused if it was because they were knights and squires or if it was a fear of being ran over by the horses, but nor did he care. He was just appreciative that it was over. "Thank god!" He said as he shivered a bit.

"You see Kisetukai, we have a simple yet important job." Ser Corben claimed. "We are here to keep the peace, without peace our city would cease to exist."
"You understand correct?" K nodded showing confirmation. Ser Corben smirked, "You know Kisetukai, up on a horse you don't have to worry about a commoner bumping into you." K gave him a sharp glare, "Yes...Ser." The group then moved onto another path and walked through the main roads. K's face lit up a bit as he instantly knew were he was. His old area were he used to live, before his life turned into this. He saw his old home on the way only for a few short seconds but it seemed happy as ever. "If only Kise were awake to see that...he would've have something to say." He chuckled to himself at his thoughts. The group made a couple turns and moved into a new area. K noticed how there was a lot of girls out and that's exactly how he liked it. He walked proudly as smiled at a couple of the girls. The girls smiled at all of the knights atop of their horses, even the wimpy squires. But when they looked at K they giggled and pointed.

K instantly began to question himself and his worthiness. "Is my scythe to small?" He thought to himself. Ser Corben chuckled an experienced laugh. "It's because you are the only knight without a horse Kisetukai." "The girls think that obviously something is wrong with you. Your even lower than those squires you keep comparing yourself to." K gasped. "Yeah don't think that I haven't noticed your selfish attitude." Ser Corben stated. "We are a team, and the sooner you get that through that thick skull, the sooner you will be closer to being a knight." K frowned at the thought of being ridiculed and walked with his head down.

[Through out Syliras] The Early Bird Gets The Horse

Postby Kisetukai on March 19th, 2013, 1:38 am

The man who kept announcing things said another claim. "We are approaching our final patrolling area! Look alive." K chuckled at the man's emotion for his job. "A real knight should be out trying to become stronger..Not patrolling." He thought. K walked with the group as they entered the area were his only "known" living family members lives. Grandma Kai and Grandpa Key. K shuddered at the thought of hugs and kisses, and worst of all...wrinkles, causing his patron to give his two sense. "Oh so you know this area?" Ser Corben guessed. K smiled.."Sadly yes Ser." He replied.

He noticed to men playing around except he mistook it for fighting. He instantly put a hand on his scythe and before even nudging it he felt a pat on his shoulder. He looked up at his patron who motioned back at the men, who were now laughing walking inside a house. "Sorry Ser, I was just trying to keep the peace. No harm." K said. "I understand, when I was a squire I to wanted to enforce the law." Ser Corben said. "But that's not always a good thing. "What?" Said K as he was officially lost in thought. "We must maintain peace but also know when peace must be maintained." K nodded for him to continue. "People will always love the order, yet they will always hate it. People will always envy the order, yet they always need the order. But you can't ever forget that people will always fear the order."

K smiled as he took a mental note. "That's something my master told me when I was your age. Well my patron slash master." Ser Corben said. K didn't notice time fly as they somehow made it back to the stables.

[Through out Syliras] The Early Bird Gets The Horse

Postby Kisetukai on March 19th, 2013, 1:49 am

His patron dismounted and K ran over to put up his equipment and horse. Upon returning he bowed and shocked his patron. "Ser! I am Kisetukai Yamahaka from the Yamehaka household. Please forgive my attitude for today. I am happy to be your squire please." He stated as he raised up. "Ah what did I say? No formalities my boy!" Said Ser Corben as he slapped K on the back once more. "Well if thee deem me worthy, can thou forgiveth me?" K said in respect. There was still a bit of life and light out, which gave Ser Corben an idea. K, who was already walking away, was surprised to hear his patron say, "Hey Kisetukai." "Yes?" K turned around with a smile on his face. "We have only a little time, but would you be interested in a horse riding lesson?" Ser Corben asked already knowing the answer.

K's face lit up, "Yes Ser!" Ser Corben smiled as they quickly got set up, mounted, and headed out at about the fourth bell. As they rode, K felt nervous, not really being used to horses. But nonetheless K felt a crazy rush of dignity as he was seen prevailing on a steed. "Kisetukai, I know your not used to this." Ser Corben said as he rubbed his horse. "But trust me, you will soon be a very good rider!" He promised. "But for today don't worry, you won't have to make that horse gallop, just walk. "Yes Ser." K replied.

As they rode, a small bond was formed that even he couldn't deny. K, who normally just hates alot of things, was pretty happy and calm. They rode in a small circle and soon returned to the stables to put up the horses, as the sun was setting. "You did good today Kisetu--" "Just call me Kise" K insisted. "You did good Kise." Ser Corben said with a smile. "Tomorrow you'll become more familiar with horses." "Now go home, and don't show up late again." He said with a smile as he put his hand atop K's hair and playfully messed it up. K smiled as he walked home in a good mood.
Upon finally making it to his dorm, he took off his armor, and plopped down on the bed. He was emotionally exhausted. "Thank the gods Kise wasn't--" "Thank the gods I wasn't what?" Kise said as he awoke. "Nothing." K said. "So what did you do today?" Kise asked. "You know..basic squire stuff." "Boring..." K replied as he fell asleep.

Comments :
Thanks for waiting! Nice little squire thread here. I like what you are doing with the dual personality concept, but sometimes it is hard to follow. At first I thought Kise and K were separate characters (and they are in some sense). Just be sure you are being clear with it and there shouldn't be a problem. As for skills and lores I hope everything makes sense, and if not, PM me!
Currently working at new job so I am still trying to balance it out with Miza. I apologize for any delays.
