Spring 40th of Spring, 513AV Location:The Twin Lakes Who:Phoeniana Iosha needed to get physically fit before she even attempted to go to the Unforgiving by herself, so she had taken it upon herself to swim five laps from the grassy eastern shore to the rocky western shore. It was a lot of swimming even for the Konti who basically lived in the water most of her life. Every other morning since spring started she made her way down to the Twin Lakes and do her exercises. It was exhausting, but she noticed noticed over the course of few weeks. She had been getting stronger and her endurance had increased dramatically. The pale young woman ended the final lap and quite unbecoming of a konti maiden. When she got to shallow water, she basically crawled out of the water and collapsed by the shore. Staring up at the blue sky, Iosha smiled to herself when she saw a wind eagle fly over her. She couldn't believe she was in the land of her father on the other side of world from her peoples home. Laying on the grass naked, Iosha was content in allowing the warm mid spring sun warm and dry her body. She raised her arm and saw the scales on the back of her hand start to shimmer a soft green in the morning sun. The konti closed her violet eyes and started to hum to herself a Inarta tune. She learned the other day as she waited for the sun to dry her body. When Iosha felt her body dry, she stood up and put on her small cloths. She wasn't going to completely dress since she was going to practice her reimancy. Iosha walked out into about knee high water, and she outstretched her hands on each side of her. The konti closed her eyes and started will the translucent res into a ball each hand. The silvery blond woman used her will to manipulated the translucent substance to into a arch over her head. The process was slow and quite awkward for the young wizard to maintain control of the arch. It was a more advanced shape to maintain than a simple orb or cube. The res slowly started to rise up from each hand in a tube like line, and it slowly started to turn towards to each side when the liquid cleared her head. Eventually, Iosha looked up to see her res had made her desired shape, so she took a deep breath and willed the res to attract the water into the arch of res. Iosha watched with a sense of satisfaction as the water slowly rose from the lake to the arch. It was a slow process because Iosha was concentrating to maintain the shape of her arch while filling it with water. Eventually the arch was completely filled with water, and she looked up at her creation with grin. She watched the arch start to wobble slightly, and she closed her eyes and willed it back into shape. Iosha looked up and the res water arch was completely maintaining the desired shape for now. Grandmother told Iosha if you can will your res into desire shapes than you had a sense of control over your magical power. Iosha learned earlier in her life that control of her magic could be just as effective as sheer power. Iosha remember her grandmother's favorite quote, “Sometime the smallest act can change the course of events in your favor.” Iosha took it to heart because she had to be careful about overgiving with her current mental state. The young wizard released the will on her left hand, and the arch started to wobble violently. Iosha maintained complete concentration holding the res in her right hand. The young woman allowed arch of water to fall behind her like a rope, and she continuing holding onto her res with her right hand. She swung the rope of water over her head, and she watched her res slam into the water ahead of her. The arch completely disappeared when hit the water, but it caused a decent amount of small waves moving away from the point of impact. Iosha wiped the sweat from her brow, and she could tell the magic took a lot out of her. Feeling no residue of res inside her or around her, she closed her eyes and put her hands together trying to center and calm her mind only concentrating on the waves hitting the shore. |
