Orion took the blade, holding it up in the light of flames, admiring the skilled work. He might actually be able to pass for a squire. Or at least look like had equipment appropriate for one. It would get Dinah off his back about, it too, and that was just the icing on the cake.
The price was more than reasonable. Was she giving him a discount? That would be a problem, but he had no way of knowing. Thanks to his neglect, he didn't know the proper pricing. If it was cheaper, then he was getting a cheaper price on account of feelings, which was not what he wanted to hear, or he was getting it on account of his...skills..which made him nothing more than a cheap whore. Whether or not it was true, he didn't wish to admit it so freely. He prayed she offered him nothing. It was a business exchange, nothing more.
"A generous price, Miss Skellig. Add another silver, then, for prompt service." He paused a moment to admire the blade once more before returning it to its sheath. Hadyn spoke of a trip to the Mithyrn Outpost. He'd never actually been there, for all his years living in the city. "I think it's fairly frequent that they make the trip. Though by how you're rambling on, I think you're asking about a specific knight to be taking you, hmm?" He leaned down to bring his gaze level with hers, eyes shining with that near constant mischievousness. "Ready to capture me and take me on a lovely little vacation out to the farms? So forward, but i already knew that," he teased, nodding as he spoke. "Yes, I'm sure I could talk my Patron into letting me take you. We can talk payment later, just let me know when you decide to go and I'll try and be free. Is this agreeable, Hadyn?"
Was he really agreeing to this? Why was she asking him? Perhaps he was the only person connected to the knights she knew. When was the last time he left the city with a woman? Gods, he hoped nothing interfered with their travels. He was still, well, pathetic with the blade. He just looked good in the outfit. "I really ought to get back to training. A thousand times thank you for fixing up my old blade here." He turned to head for the door, tossing a glance back, eyes burning with a playful intensity. "Try not to think of me too much today, okay? Wouldn't want the guys making fun of you for suddenly being absentminded." Another teasing wink, and he was gone, heading back across the city to get ready for another beat down. At least he would have a shiny, sharp, blade for it now.
