In my Quarters

A Bell Before Sunset.
51st of Spring, 513 AV

Alisha unpacked the food rations and soap still nested on her bulky backpack. It shrunk instantly having more space than before. She leaved the soap at a corner. The food supplies under the round table. The apartment for her was like a prisoner cell. There’s a strange feeling living in a castle theme structure. Was it possible that some of the dungeons or facilities around the Stormhold were being haunted? It’s just one of questions she can’t get out of her mind. She’s not scared but concerned, or maybe intrigued. She was living here, in the city since her childhood. Well, but not inside the citadel. She just moved here lately. The rest of her life was on the streets. Was this a sign of leveling up or inclining the ladder? Look at the bright side; she was staying on an apartment already compared before. On the other hand being fixed on a certain place wasn’t good or she’s not used to. She combed her hair with a wooden comb and brushed it with a wooden brush. Mirror, she needed one at least. And the absence of windows kills her. No windows… No windows… She rolled her eyes and grinded her teeth a bit. There’s no way she would be staying in a pad like this. Temporarily this would be fine. The sickly maiden list down things she needed to buy and labeled them down. It’s great that she bought some writing materials earlier this morning.

---Primary List---

Pieces of rags
A broom or a besom
Food supplies: (Mainly fruits, vegetables, breads?)
Extra garments (of course…)

That’s it. She raised then crooked shortly her eyebrows noticing that she should be avoiding purchase of any meats. Meats are expensive, besides she must cook it first. With luck, she would be asking Adsila, her new acquaintance, maybe she got some unused clothes. Will keep it as part of her collection otherwise, will cut it into shreds and let it be instrument for cleaning. Did she need a cutting tool other than an eating knife? Not really necessary as of the moment. She peeped on the large opening of her backpack and saw the wooden comb, wooden brush, razor, eating knife, flint & steel and gold mizas. This bag was okay for now. She can use her basket as an extension inventory by the way. A yawn escaped her. Dizziness hugged, the cooling breeze from the ventilation touched and kisses, her head fell to a wooden surface. Slumber embraced helping the girl to rest for awhile.

Chimes After Sunset…

The writing materials, the ink, parchments and quill were left on the top of the table.

(Kokkkk… Kokkk… Phewww… Kokkk…)
Alisha tired and exhausted woke up wiped the fluids flowing out. The room was dark and shaded grey. Lights from outside, in the hallway, the torches served as light source dimming her room. It’s a quick nap. It was night, the sun just set. Here she was still on her small circular chair. The chair was a stool. She was confident that it wouldn’t break. Although she forgot that it didn’t have any arms or frame to relax her aching back. With a loud thud, she bumped her bottom directly to the rocky ground with an impact.

(Aw!)
Alisha crawled and reached on one of four feet of the table for support. The pain decreased as time goes by. It wasn’t a serious injury so nothing to worry about. Her dinner for the night was an apple and a number of sliced bread toasts. There were these different plenty of foods for a couple of days ration. An amount of butter she coated the bread with it. The knife was too dull; it took her an effort to pierce the skin of the red fruit. Out of boredom, she played with the eating knife. First, she moved the table aside. Alisha moved circularly filling the sides of the room with some time stabbing the knife in the air. Imagination has no boundaries. As they said, it’s all in the mind. Was the squires and knight wannabes begun their ambitions with wooden toy swords? It’s not her path. Playing with knives was a hobby, a hobby that wouldn’t spent even a cent. She chuckled, what would be the impression of the people who would saw her? They will laugh at her because she’s a fool. Ideas of visiting the church suddenly popped on. With an urge, the knife was thrown to her bunk. She vanished immediately to rush outside to breathe some cold air.
