This northernmost city is the home of Morwen, The Goddess of Winter, and her followers who dwell year round in a land of frozen wonder. [Lore]

 Spring, 15th, Year 513
Through the snow, as per usual, Ronan made his way towards the, hopefully, last hold before having sold all his goods. From what little he knew about Avanthal and from the research he had done, this last stop would be his best one. At least that's what he was hoping for. The horse was pulling the wagon through the snow as Ronan did his best to drive it. His skill had always been and would always be very limited when it came to handling the wagon and the horse. It just didn't work for him for some reason. And, of course the snow and ice did nothing to help his situation. But Horse, which was the name for Ronan's horse, original, I know, had been well trained and, even though his driver seemed to be giving all the wrong signals and commands, carried both the driver and the goods safely to the hold entrance.
His approach to the hold was the same as his previous ones. Ronan simply walked up to the first person he saw and questioned him, asking for potential places to set up shop for the day. He was pointed to the back of the building, where he would find most of the members already hard at work. At first sight, the hold of the famous Avanthalian builders looked quite boring and did not boost ones faith in their skill. From the little bits of information Ronan had found about the hold, this building had been one of the first made by the Iceglaze and stood as a testament to their increase in skill over the years and years of building. Not that it mattered to Ronan. He was here for the selling of resources, not the buying of a house.
With his ever decreasing amount of goods in the cart, Ronan parked near the back of the hold, where the Iceglazers had set up workshops for their members who were indeed mostly all working hard, especially considering the early hour. His arrival only drew a few curious looks before they all returned to their work. Ronan took his time to set up his wares, leaving them in the wagon, presenting them to the customers that would come. He had no desire to set up in the snow on the ground and was glad to move around, shifting his goods, pulling them to the front or pushing them back, according to what he assumed would be good deals and others that would be not so good deals. Of course, the entire front of his wagon was lined with the metals he had brought, proudly presenting their shiny and especially rare appearance in Avanthal. |
