Character Name Appearance Race: Dhani, Constrictor Gender: Female Age: 123 Birthday: 12, Winter, 393 AV Birthplace: Zinrah Appearance: Human Form: Ssynareis towers over most other races at about 6'5" and weighing about 165lbs of power and muscle. Despite being well over a century old she appears to be in her early twenties. Her skin tone is bronzed, and her long hair is jet black and is usually kept in a tight ponytail. Her shoulders are broad and her build is rather lean, bordering stock at certain times. She possesses a certain exotic beauty about her that some find attractive. Serpent Form: Ssynareis' constrictor form is a sight to behold, glistening dark green and black scales cover her long 47 ft. form. This form is pure muscle, and more than a few civilized races have met their ends in the crushing embrace of her coils. In the jungles of her homeland, she was the perfect ambush predator due to her camouflaged colors. Dhani Form: This form is perhaps the most frightening of all of Ssynaries' forms. Measuring in around 23 ft. from tail to snout her Dhani form is covered in her same scale coloration and her humanoid top half is just as well toned as her human. This is her preferred form as she revels in the strength it grants her. Character Concept Ssynareis is very much a typical constrictor in that she is extremely prideful about her strength and the purity of her true form. She revels in displays of strength and will often harbor grudges against those who are able to best her, especially if beaten by a creature she views as a lesser. She also has absolutely no problem with introducing a person to her stomach, a place where a number of individuals have had the misfortune of residing for a short time. The constrictor greatly dislikes Myrians, which is really no surprise considering she grew up surrounded by them on all sides. She also disdains those who believe in antiquated concepts like honor, not really caring how she wins a fight as long as she does. Ssynareis takes great joy in breaking members of other races both physically and mentally, her cruelty a natural and inborn thing. She may have no honor but Ssynareis does have some sense of duty. She is a loyal warrior to those she serves and is viciously loyal to her nest. Usually people need not fear harm from her unless they become her enemy, in which case they become fair game. She does possess something of a playful side for those who manage to befriend her and a very well developed dark sense of humor. The purpose of her current travels is to hone her skills to their finest edge and learn more of the world beyond her home. Ssynareis will serve any organization that promises to help her further her blade craft and physical prowess to its utter peak. She is also interested in learning more of the ways of magic and Djed in general, her thirst for arcane knowledge awakened by her mother's teachings. Character History Ssynareis grew up in the sanctuary of the constrictor Dhani, deep within the jungles of Falyndar. Zinrah is the closest thing she had to a home, the tunnels like a stony womb, protecting her from the dangers that lay beyond. The young Ssynareis was quite obviously the strongest of her mother's children, also being the most cunning and vicious of them. Her mother was extremely critical of her favored daughter, expecting far more from her than she did of her other daughters. As she grew older and larger, so to did she become more vicious and prideful. Her years were spent honing her incredible strength, however her arrogance often proved to be her undoing as she challenged older opponents to wrestling matches, losing quite a few times. With every loss and mistake Ssynareis learned the lessons of failure, her mother providing her with further instruction on these matters. Eventually Ssynareis took up blade craft, right around the time when she gained her human form. She would often practice for hours on end, her fixation on achieving physical perfection bordering on obsession. Her mother also opted to initiate her in the ways of Hypnotism, a power closely guarded by the aging serpent. Ssynareis learned how best to use this in conjunction with interrogation, becoming a fearsome questioner. Magic was secondary to physical perfection but it has been an interest to her ever since learning it. Eventually the time came when she realized that to find what she sought it would be necessary to brave the Myrian infested jungle and seek training in lands beyond. Her path was long and perilous, landing her in a number of close scrapes and near death at the hands of her enemies as she cut a wide route around Tabola. In the end she made it to the Suvan Sea and boarded a ship headed to Ahnatep, where her mother had informed her that a nest of her fellow Dhani would be found.
