"No. Well, somewhat. They are interesting," she confessed, giving him a small nod. "I make a point of gettin' to know my customers. Curiosity overtook me."

She then shrugged mechanically, allowing a smile to come across her features. She looked a bit put off about something, but he decided it probably did not concern him. She cracked her neck, which produced an almost surprising number of pops before setting her eyes on him again. "Anyway, I'm pleased y'chose to bring your business here," she thanked him with another polite smile. He smiled back, and replied, “My pleasure! I will be even happier when I get that sword back.” He bowed slightly and turned to walk out of the door. He was in the doorway, when he stopped, remembering something.

Daniel walked back to her, looking sheepish. “Umm, well, could you do something else for me.” He rummaged around in his pack, producing a set of gauntlets, blade protruding out of the backs, the right hand one having an additional mechanism. “These are blade gloves, but I am sure a smith like you has heard of them before. The dart firing mechanism on this one is damaged and the blades are a bit banged up. Can you repair them also. I will pay you finely.”

The woman took stock of the gauntlets as he spoke before nodding, making a note on the parchment. Crossing the floor, Hadyn extended her hands to accept the gloves gingerly. She carefully turned them in her hands, brown eyes surveying the damage and wear. Returning to the counter, her gaze on the items in her hands, she looked up at the man as she set them down.

"Sure can," she replied with a nod. "You can pick 'em up with the sword. It's been a pleasure."

Tilting her head, the blacksmith bid the man adieu before gathering the weapons and leaving the shop proper to begin work in the forge.

INTERVENTION

Mr. Connor,

Breaking a sword in half with your bare hands? When did you accomplish this? In fact, how did you accomplish this? While I admit there is a slim possibility of a singularly strong individual being able to perform such a feat you do not posses any aptitude in the ancillary skills that would allow something of that nature to take place.

Not only is the likelihood of that happening an exceptionally slim possibility you are more likely to slice your own hands off than actually succeed. I can see it maybe being feasible if you possessed Master Bodybuilding to account for the physical strength needed, Master Unarmed Combat in an extremely disciplined and offensive martial arts style, Expert Flux to push your muscles in the direction they would need to go and to move fast enough to prevent yourself from getting your hands sliced off, and most certainly at least an Expert Shielding to protect yourself from the shrapnel that would no doubt fly everywhere once the sword was broken.

I could also understand the premise of such a notion if you were a Master in some sort of sword technique going up against say..a Novice.

You are none of these things.

Change this.

Ms. Hadyn,

I am sorry but it would seem you must wait a little longer before you can receive a grade as well. Until the premise for undertaking the repairs is within the realm of possibility there is no sword to repair.

Regards to you both,
