The Opal Temple

After having just applied for classes.

The little map that had come with the paperwork she'd received from Merida when she applied for classes had been needed. It took some time, but she finally found her way down to where the dormitories were. Merida had been right, the majority of the rooms were completely submerged under the water. Despite the simple fact she would have loved being able to sleep under the cool depths, her drawing supplies wouldn't survive. She checked the closest rooms to the surface, finding the first few to already being occupied. The water was starting to raise higher for each of the rooms now, but she didn't have to look much longer. The empty room was simple; a bed with a chest at the foot of it, a desk with two unlit candles atop it, a chair to accompany the desk, a picture of dolphins in a seashell frame and two coat rack hooks on the wall. The water was high enough that it came up to her calves, a perfect height. She could be in the water while still being able to draw. There wasn't much, but then again, it wasn't home. Not yet anyway. She'd find stuff to make it more 'roomie' in time.

Hanging each of backpacks, one with her clothes and beauty needs and one with her drawing supplies, on the hooks on the wall, she tested the feel of the bed before exploring the drawers in the desk. It was all empty, the bed average. Perfect for a student. Leaving her bag in her newly claimed room, she started off deeper into the dormitories, curious to see if there was anything else deeper down there. Submerging herself under the water, she swam deeper and deeper, passing by other rooms both empty and occupied as she want. She past several other Konti down here, all of who she gave a smile and waved to. A few of the rooms had their doors open and she couldn't resist the urge and peeked inside as she passed, seeing how they had decorated their on campus homes.

After some time, having finished looking down most of the underwater halls of the dormitory, Ki'toka turned back, swimming lazily through the water back the way she'd come. She slipped quietly from the cool depths, her hands lifting to wring out her water logged hair as she stepped back into her room. Stripping out of her wet clothing, she dressed in a pair of simple white pants and a matching white top that didn't have any sleeves. Slipping her feet back into her already wet sandals, she hooked her arm around the strap of the backpack that held her drawing supplies, she exited the room again.

She passed by Merida at the front desk again, not stopping to say hi as she figured the busy woman was just that, busy. Passing her, she glanced down at the map she once again held and picked a direction to go. The South Tower. She'd heard that this was were Rak’keli stayed when she was living in the temple. Feeling her excitement build up inside her, her fingers reached up and brushed the Gnosis mark she had proudly displayed on her cheek. Her ability to read a map and follow its directions wasn't the best though, not that she really needed it. Once she'd stepped outside into the courtyard, all she had to do was look in either direction to find the cathedral like looking tower.

Quickly closing the distance between her and the tower, she came to a stop at the closed doors, her face leaning in to admire the stone work that had been used, her fingers lifting to brush smoothly over the glittering stones. "Are those pearls..." She asked herself absentmindedly. She wasn't sure how she was going to capture the glittering effect in her drawing now that she'd seen the tower up close, but she was determined. Stepping in through the large door, she gasped at the beauty of what she saw.
