Timestamp: 20th of Spring, 513AV Late in the morning of the 20th, there was a knock on Kolvia’s apartment door, followed by a high bark and a quiet curse in Tukant. The door opened to a harried Akalak youth feverishly trying to untangle a trio of leashes. Dancing around his feet were three black footed foxes, chubby, orange bodies scurrying behind him as the door opened. “Hi, ah, Kolvia? I’m from the Menagerie…” He trailed off, untwisting the leashes from around his leg. One of the kits, with a green leash and harness, peeked out from behind his leg to peer up at their foster mother. The other two ignored her and began to wrestle behind him. “This is Koba,” he indicated the one in the green harness. “Lobu,” He indicated one of the pair wrestling, in the blue harness. “And Hedo.” He indicated the last, in a red harness. Abruptly, the wrestling pair stopped to look up at the Akalak, and immediately parted from their wrestling game. Hedo reached out to nibble on Koba’s tail before it was indignantly snatched away from the slightly smaller kit. The Akalak passed a heavy backpack through the doorway, not taking his eyes off the trio. “There’s food enough for the day in there… Three times a day, and you’ll want to feed them as soon as you get them in. Don’t let Hedo steal the others’ food; he can be a bully. Uh, there’s toys, some blankets, a fold out box and some litter, ow-hey-“ He awkwardly pulled his pantleg from Lobu’s mouth. “You’ll need to take them outside at least four times today, but don’t let them off their leashes, and try to be back between the twelfth and thirteenth bell, since I’ll be by. They’re litter trained, but still not that great at it… Any questions?” Hardly waiting for an answer, he passed over the bundle of leashes and started to back down the hall, once again pausing to tug his pantleg from Lobu’s mouth. “Mouthy little…creatures… So yeah, see you in a few bells!” In a quick turn of the corner, he was gone, and the three kits quickly bounded inside, pulling to the end of their leashes to investigate. Without wasting a moment, and not looking remotely sorry, Hedo squatted down and left a small, smelly present not far from the doorway. OOC Notes :
