Appearance: In her human form, she has dark chestnut hair (almost black) with natural, rich gold & cinnamon highlights that reaches down to just past her shoulders which she usually puts up when she is working, deep cerulean blue eyes with flecks of silver throughout, and creamy alabaster skin. She is approximately 5.25 ft (160 cm) tall & ~128 lbs (~58 kg) with a slender build and sleek, toned muscles from roaming and hunting in the forests while in animal form. Although only 1.5 years old, she is a fully matured Kelvic who looks to be ~18 years old in her human form with a modest bosom and a somewhat curvy figure. The only thing that would give away the fact that she is Kelvic when in human form is the fact that her teeth are a bit more pointed and sharper than normal human teeth and her fangs are also a bit longer than normal, but not by much.
Her animal form is that of an average house cat weighing ~8.1 lbs (~3.67 kg), standing 8.4 in (21.34 cm) tall at the shoulder, & 17.2 in (43.69 cm) long from her nose to the tip of her long tail, long ears with tuffs at the tips, and medium length fur with markings like that of a Maine Coon in the same color as her hair in human form.
Something you will notice in either form is that her left ear has two slits that were ripped into it as another cat had taken a bite out of her ear when she was only 6 weeks old and playing in her animal form. Another mark she bears runs along the upper part of her left arm, where she was sliced by the claws of a wild animal in the forests surrounding The Spires. This scar is a livid red due to it's depth and how fresh it is.
Character ConceptQuiet & reserved, she seldom speaks with others unless she has the need to. She doesn't like to be a hindrance or a bother to others, so she tends to keep to herself unless she is around people she feels comfortable with, like her friends. She does love to sing, however, and will often get caught singing aloud while walking through the fields or even the busy streets. Music calms her and makes her feel at peace, so she sings often despite her being a little shy. She is a very giving and loving person who hardly ever gets angry with others. However, she is very protective of children and those she loves and is quickly angered when they are threatened or mistreated. Stay on her good side and she will always treat you kindly, get on her bad side and you'd best watch out.
Likes - Fish, flowers, the forest, kind & gentle people, children, & being awake at night
Dislikes - Mean & hurtful people, getting wet while in animal form (because it takes forever to get dry again), & fighting
Character HistoryBorn in the slave cages of Sunberth, she was raised by her mother until she was 7 weeks old, then sent off to the market to be sold as a slave. She was frightened then, she remembers, but wished to make her master happy, so she had changed form on stage, just as she had been instructed to do. Then she was handed over to a nobleman who had purchased her for his daughter's 14th birthday. The girl's name was Molly, but her parents only ever called her Princess, so she was expected to do the same. Princess got whatever she wanted and no one was allowed to refuse her, so when Princess had told her father that she wanted a Kelvic kitten for her birthday.. a Kelvic kitten she got.
Princess was so happy to see the pretty kitten her dad had given her that she named her Ebony, then demanded she transform into her human form, which Ebony had done without any hesitation, for she felt a bond with this girl. From then on, they played together all the time and as time went on.. Ebony grew. Being Kelvic, she matured very rapidly and then one day, Princess noticed that all the boys would stare at Ebony, instead of waiting upon her every whim. But it was on Princess's 15th birthday that everything began to change. Princess was supposed to be the center of attention, but instead.. Ebony was stealing all of it by being in her mature human form and wearing a beautiful dress that Princess's mother had given her for the party as she sang beautifully for their guests.
Furious that her own slave would take all the attention away from her on her birthday, Princess demanded that Ebony change back into her animal form then forced her to wear a metal slave's collar around her neck so that she would no longer be able to transform back into a human unless someone removed the collar. Since her parents never once told her no, they did nothing to stop her and when Princess told them why she had done it, they even agreed that it would be better for Ebony to remain in cat form from then on. Thus, she remained that way. She did not really understand why, but if it was what her bondmate wanted, then she would do it. However.. this was only the beginning.
So jealous now was Princess over Ebony having matured so much more rapidly than she, that she began demanding that her parents make it so that she could grow more quickly into a woman so that she could garner the same kind of attention when she wore a beautiful dress around the boys her age, but there simply was no way for her wish to come true and for the first time, her parents were forced to tell her no. Princess became so angry that she stormed off, grabbed up Ebony by the scruff, and dragged her out into the forest beside the river near the falls. There, she proceeded to beat and kick Ebony in rage for several moments, then she forcefully severed their bond telling her never to return or else she'd kill her. Then, in one last fit of rage, she kicked Ebony so hard in the ribs that she was sent flying into the raging water of the river and stormed off back to the house.
The gods must have taken pity on poor Ebony, for when she awoke she found herself on the opposite side of the river and still alive. Badly hurt and heartbroken over what had just happened, she slowly stumbled off towards the west until she came across another city. Trapped in animal form as she was since she still wore the slave's collar, she wandered the streets a while taking food from the trash & avoiding humans as much as possible until she overheard someone talking about a place called The Spires, to the north; a place they said was supposed to be a Kelvic Haven. Hope rekindled in her heart, she set off.. leaving her past and her old name behind her.
As she traveled north, she was forced to learn how to hunt for her own food and quickly picked up on how to best sneak up on and capture rodents of many different sizes. She got especially good at catching field mice & squirrels. She even took the time to figure out how to catch fish with her claws when she happened upon a pebble-strewn creek. Even though she despises getting her fur wet, she LOVES fish! Taking the good with the bad, she soon figured out how to catch at least one fish in a single day of patient fishing along the banks of a shallow, clear stream. In this way, she was able to feed herself decently well until she had finally made it to The Spires to begin her new life.
