Ophelia is slender; she doesn’t have curves of any kind. She had the body of a runner; slender and muscular without a trace of fat. Her hair hangs across her shoulders and down her back in a cascade of red, loose curls.
What makes Ophelia most peculiar though is her inability to be sensual she is beautiful, breathtaking even, but she has innocence to her presence, a type of subtle purity. Because of this Ophelia is thought to be younger than she is.
Character ConceptTo describe Ophelia Oleander in one word would be almost impossible. Ophelia has learned over the years that to succeed in the world you have to not only lie all the time but smile about it all the while. Ophelia can be polite, quiet, sweet. She can be amusing, charming, and full of wit. Or she can be dark, mysterious, and unpredictable. Really though Ophelia is just a master of all trades. She knows how to use her brains over her brawn. At the heart of everything she's just very innocent. She hates confrontation and fears the idea of anyone hating her. She is quick to answer and slow to judge. Ophelia likes to find herself alone; to escape this world. Ophelia wishes to be independent. And that is all she needs.
Character HistoryOphelia’s mother had been common. That’s how her father had always said it to her. Her mother was common and he was Drykas. And she was Drykas. For a long time Ophelia wasn’t quite sure what that had meant. It took many years for her to realize her mother was never coming back. Her mother was not a part of the same world as her and her father. They were Drykas. And the Drykas could not accept those who did not accept them.
So, Ophelia grew up with a father as a mother. Which as you can imagine meant that she was very rarely treated as anything less than the son her father had always wanted. She was taught to ride a horse at the age of 10. She was taught to shoot an arrow at the age of 11. And by the time she was 13 she had gotten her Cyphrus Strider. Affectionately named Wildflower, Ophelia and her strider bonded instantaneously. By the time Ophelia turned 16 the two were inseparable. And untamable. Her
windmark forever reminding her of the connection between her and Wildflower.
As her father pushed her towards marriage, Ophelia pushed back just as hard. And though she loved her father very much she felt that her only chance to secure a life of happiness was to gain her independence. She bargained with him for her freedom by agreeing to join the Opal Clan and be instructed in healing. Currently she is living under in her grandfather's pavilion, Oleander where he resides as the Ankal.
